The staff, the room and the cleanliness of the hotel all deserve top marks. As a Diamond member my husband and I were upgraded, however our room was right next to the railroad tracks and if I didn't have ear plugs I would have never gotten any sleep. When asked at checkout how we enjoyed our stay, I mentioned our disappointment with the noise and was given some Hilton Points for the inconvenience. Be sure to ask for a room away from the tracks since the trains run quite frequently.

Good rooms, excellent breakfast, good people on reception. Easy walk to the Long Island Railroad with trains to central New York every half hour, more in rush hour. the hotel is also next to a King Kullen supermarket, which is handy for buying snacks and drinks for picnics. Rockville Centre has good restaurants at good prices so is a good alternative to central New York and more restful even if you do miss some of the centre city buzz..

While the Hampton Inn is a nice place to stay and convenient it is the staff at this particular Hotel that make it so good. The Manager and the primary front desk person go far above and beyond to make your experience a positive one. We stay here regularly and would not hesitate even when other less expensive options are available

Another great stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff at this Hampton is absolutely the best I have ever ever encountered. Ray and Pia cannot do enough to make you stay more enjoyable. This staff could be the model of how to manage a front desk. Rooms are always clean and they always do their best to have them ready quickly if I arrive early. The breakfast is always good and plentiful. Lobby and breakfast area kept spotless. Kudos to Cristina for running a great place.

Was disappointed with our stay. Upon learning that we are on the first floor, in checking our room, we asked if we can be moved to a higher floor. The employee at the front desk was not willing to move us. I mentioned that I had requested a quiet room away from the elevator. I needed to make sure I had a good night sleep that night in preparation for a medical test early the next day. He said there's only 2 rooms to choose from: 1 by the elevator and 1 wherre we would hear the train passin... Read more

Overall a pleasant stay with friendly staff. Nothing particularly great or bad about the stay. Classic Hampton Breakfast However, the hotel is not up to brand standards. Layout is different from other Hamptons and features a very odd empty water fountain in the middle of the breakfast area. Some of the hallway lights were flickering and the hotel is on the darker side. The rooms were ancient, and for the rate, really below expectation. I get it that the hotel still sells out, but please invest ... Read more

Typical Hampton Inn in a good sense. Friendly, clean, adequate lodgings. In an excellent location of one of the best towns in Long Island for restaurants and bars. Only quirk is there's only one way onto the premises and finding it can be tricky. Close to LIRR station, which is handy way into Manhattan, but train runs right by the hotel. Fairly quiet as they pass, however, so not a factor.

Room was clean, service friendly and accommodating. We were only here overnight and as most Hampton Inns we have stayed this was as expected. The entrance to the hotel was a little tricky and you have to pay attention to signage.

I've stayed at many Hampton Inn's in my travels and this one is by far my favorite. Only slight downside is entering and exiting the property...but very minor.

Hotel was clean, quiet and staff was friendly from the moment you entered the front door. The continental breakfast was abundant and the food was hot and plentiful each morning. The tables were cleaned as soon as they became available. The wi-fi internet was free. The lobby and main floor sitting area was pleasant. We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very pleasant and went out of their way to treat us courteously and tried in every way to please. The a/c is our main concern when we stay in hotels. We very rarely get a/c which we consider perfect. Many times they are too cold or too warm or uneven. Most blow on the bed and make the room feel damp or have a musty smell. This was perfect in all the ways that we like.

Rooms are quiet (despite the fact it backs up on the elevated Long Island Railroad - you barely hear it!) and always clean and very comfortable. This is a south shore/Nassau County, Long Island hotel which by definition means ??overpriced?? for what??s delivered. (There really aren??t enough hotels in this area of Long Island.) This is similar to all Hampton Inns, but it's in a somewhat challenging location, access-wise. Upon leaving, you must merge onto the Sunrise Highway and get left fast for a quick U-turn. Also, it is literally right next to the Long Island RR track. Avoid rooms 10 thru 17 on all floors. On a positive note, the service was quite good, just like most Hampton Inns.

The most important aspect of a hotel room for me is the bed and pillows. Both were extremely comfortable. The room was quiet, and close to the front entrance. Despite the staff who are lovely and accommodating, the hotel itself is disappointing. Situated next to the freeway and train (think noisy and shaking walls) this expensive hotel ($200 avg. cost) seems more like a motel than a hotel. Rooms are average size and beds are decently comfortable. I do enjoy the travel size soaps, shampoos etc and especially appreciate the makeup remover wipes.
