Staff was very acconnodating, the room was very clean and all in all, nothing to complain about. Never was in a Red Roof Hotel before, but then again, I'm not much of a traveler either. That probably explains why I am as picky as I am! Would go back in a heartbeat!!!

The room was very comfortable, clean and ADA accessible. The Inn was newly renovated. It had tile floors throughout, an added plus. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a great value for a last minute booking. I would stay at this location again.

The room was clean, beds comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant. We were happy with our night here and although it may not look like it from the outside it is very nice in the inside. We stayed with our two children and the room had a mini fridge and micro wave. They have just renovated and it shows!

Decent alternative to other chains in the area for half the price. No frills, but clean, very large room (single King size bed). BEST feature - each bed side end table has an easily accessible outlet for convenient charging devices while in bed. Continental breakfast is as would be expected, but does include fresh fruit and yogurt. Very convenient to Culinary Institute of America (about 7 miles; 12 minutes). Oddly located in the shadow of Hampton Inn and Suites, sharing a parking lot.

When we arrived at the Red Roof Inn there was no one at the front desk. I rang the little bell and someone appeared from the back office. No warm greeting. No eye contact. My room smelled of some genetic bad air freshener. The room had 2 bath towels. I requested an additional towel and was told that there were none. The excuse was that they had to prioritize and decided to wash sheets instead. Sheets were sitting wet in the washer and towels were dirty. The hotel receptionist actually seemed to ... Read more

The whole experience was wonderful from the time I checked in until the time I left. The room was beautiful and very clean, the staff were so professional and nice! I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Needing a place to stay in the Poughkeepsie/Hyde Park area, we ended up at the Red Roof Inn as a reasonably priced hotel. It appears to have been recently renovated and provided a clean, unfussy place to stay. It is right on Rt 9 which takes you to everywhere you want to go including the FDR Museum and Library (not to be missed), the Walkway Over the Hudson, Val-Kil, the Vanderbilt Mansion, Rhinebeck. As a pet friendly hotel, the main room is primarily wood/wood laminate with just a carpet next ... Read more

We selected this hotel for its proximity to family in the area. It sits in the shadow of the Hampton Inn which is a newer hotel and the rates to pay for it. Our rate at the RRI was $98 for two nights and $150 for one night (a weekend rate), which we thought was very reasonable by comparison. It is nearing completion of a renovation and will be even nicer when complete. We asked for an end room (noise control) and were offered a superior king far from the highway on the second floor. There i... Read more

We stayed two nights this weekend. First, outside impression is not good, but lobby area modern and clean, although an unpleasant smell walking up stairs. Room with 2 doubles had side Chair, desk, refrigerator, microwave, ironing board, flat screen TV and plenty of plugs. Bathroom small but clean and stocked. Small continental breakfast and WiFi free. Pet friendly, no issues when another relative brought their large but behaved, dog. Price was too high in my opinion, however. For that price... Read more

Hallway smells of mold. I requested to be as far from the road as possible and we were 2 rooms from rd. If your a light sleeper you will hear cars and trucks all night. Refrig made a buzzing noise all night needless to say plan on bringing earplugs and nose plugs. Coffee was hot but only creamer and the breakfast that they say is includes is lame so don't base your stay on a free breakfast. The new PLUSā?¦.well I cant imagine what is was like before the improvements..

I had a chance to stay at the Red Roof Plus Poughkeepsie Friday, September 16th for one night. There was a race at Bard College and the hotel was reasonably close to the college. At first glance, the property looks very welcoming from the outside. This property was formally a Super 8 and Cloud 9 Inn until becoming a Red Roof Plus early this year. The lobby was very decorative and modern for an economy hotel. The rooms also received a much needed face lift. The room (127) offered two queen size b... Read more

We ended up at this hotel after we were walked from the nearby Best Western Plus (3-star). Not really comparable, but rooms were tight in this area last night for some reason. Rooms are recently renovated with nice bed and bedding. Good 'extra' pillow. Very spare furnishings with hard floor. Breakfast is basic. A boys cross-country team pretty much cleaned out all the food when we arrived, but the attendant replaced it promptly. GF -and dairy intolerants will not find much to eat here. Staff ... Read more

This hotel is in good shape and nicer than many two-star properties. However, the room we were in had serious plumbing problems. When we got up in the morning, we discovered the shower was broken. We called the front desk. The clerk said she would come to our room to check. But no one ever came. We eventually gave up and checked out. The clerk we spoke with at check out said she did not know about the problems we reported and said she would make a note of it. But she seemed unconcerned and didn'... Read more

We ended up here because we booked too late and this was the best option available for a visit we needed to be in Poughkeepsie for. I have not stayed in a Red Roof in over 25 years. I was hopeful that the changes they made would make it ok. The good: the plank and tile floors in the rooms were nice as I did not get yucked out with carpet most hotels do have. Our rooms were very spacious which was also a huge plus. The two different managers on duty were lovely and did their best to assist... Read more

This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. Bad smell, smell was so bad I couldn't sleep at night. I booked this hotel last minute, didn't want to spend $50 more a night at a better hotel. I learn my listen. The first night the hotel was full so they could not offer me a different room but the second night there was but they still didn't offer it to me. I assume all the rooms have a bad Oder.

Booked the room 2 months prior and quoted a price of $139.99. Was told no email confirmation was required. Upon arrival was told SAME room was $199.99. While the rates were inflated due to local college family weekend, the check-in host went ahead and acknowledged our original price quote. While the outside of the hotel is an eyesore, the room is surprisingly very nice. It is large, clean and well appointed. I would recommend the hotel based on the the recognition of the host to bill us in... Read more

We were here to go to the Culinary Institute of America. The hotel room was newly renovated and very clean. The bed was not the most comfortable but for a night it was adequate. One reason we chose the Red Roof Plus was because it is friendly!!! I will be returning when we visit our daughter at the CIA.

Arrived later on in the evening and room was ready; however, it smelled as if it had not been rented for months. The floor was clean and the room seemed to be clean. When I opened the refrigerator to put in some sodas, the stinch was so bad that I decided to just wait and drink them warm the next morning and there was no electricity in the refrigerator. Tried to get change from the front desk and the desk person was too busy to bother with me. So glad to see morning come and check out.
