It is always good to be back in The Manhattan At Times Square Hotel! The staff are very friendly and courteous and makes you feel welcome all the time. Mohammed and John are a delight to chat with during breakfast time. They are always ready with a smile and a helping hand! Thank you so much for making us feel like this is our home away from home! This hotel is in a great location and the lobby looks great, however, the hotel is old and outdated. I was in room 1128 the furniture was outdated, lighting outdated, bathroom dingy, bathroom door rusted, crack in ceiling, corking horrible job, counter tops out dated. The hallway was dim and while going to a family members room on the 20th floor I noticed the hallway had 2 different color schemes and was even dimmer. The carpet was awful. It was hard for me to pay $667.00 for two nights and... Read more

Checked in with lovely staff, got to the room and was beyond disappointed. The room was disgusting. Once mentioned, offered to move us to a new room the next day, which was a pain because we had to re pack in the morning, re check our bags, and then get settled into a new room the next night. Bellhop aggressively took us into our room and awkwardly stood there until he got more money.. which we never gave because we were offended by his behavior. Excellent location, easy to walk to everything. L... Read more

This is a useful Midtown Manhattan location but the hotel leaves somethings to be desired: we were upgraded to a deluxe room but its only chair was at the desk while there was plenty of room for a leisure chair in the room. They brought another desk chair when I requested twice. The room lacked some features one would expect such as note paper on the desk and glass glasses. The towels were small and thin. We needed attendance to both a running toilet and AC that wasn't working--staff came quite ... Read more

Hotel is packed with guests and the lobby is always crowded. Our room was never cleaned because the staff were too busy becaise of the high occupancy. Me and and my husband stayed at The Manhattan for our honeymoon in December 2015 and I cannot express how they made it the perfect trip for us, from the moment we got there to us leaving they could not do enough for us all staff are fantastic. I wanted to surprise my husband with a bottle of bubbly so I emailed the hotel before we got there to see if there was anything they could do to help me surprise my husband, I was in shock when we arrived by what the hotel had done for us they had upgraded... The hotel is just barley average. Three hallways are nicked up, wallpaper coming off and carpet needs to be stretched. Lots of bumps in the carpet. Hallways dimly lit too. The carpet appeared newer and nicer on the 5th floor where the fitness room was. Lobby and hotel entrance nice but room is in need of a lot of repairs. Air not that cold either. Room dusty and the front desk offered a very very small credit and to move is the following day due to being booked. The hotel does have a goo... Read more

Stayed here three nights as part of a bigger trip. Hotel lobby looks fine but that's where it ends. Once you get upstairs, the decor is really shabby, carpets very worn and we felt very uncomfortable walking the corridors with people loitering. Our room was uncomfortably small with nowhere to unpack our clothes. Bathroom had mould on the walls and smelled dank. In all it brought to mind the hotel where Tom Hanks stayed in Big. Mohammad checked me in as well as out - and he was so gracious and helpful - and has a beautiful smile. I felt like a valued guest - and for the fee, I was delighted to also have a valued fee level. The room was nice. It was clean and spacious enough for the two of us. The hotel employees were friendly. The gentlemen that ran the breakfast service (William and John) were helpful. They were able to give us some tips about were to go and what to see. Overall everything was great. I would have given an excellent but there were times when the line for the elevator was quite long. This was partly due to one elevator being down for several days.

Thank goodness I called 2 days later to confirm as the change was NEVER made and no confirming email sent. BE SURE TO REQUEST IN WRITING! My room was upgraded to a nicer floor - not all room lobbies are updated. To me it wasn't important but unexpected amenity. There is no restaurant or bar. Bfast is continental and for a fee. We recently stayed at the Manhattan at Time Square. Hotel has a good location:-walking distance from Times square, central park &Rockefeller center . Room was decent considering other hotels in Manhattan. bathroom door could not be closed but I have seen worse than this in hotels around Times square. I was most impressed by Staff specially Mr.Mohammad at the front desk. He was polite. He apologized that we had the wait for check in even though line was not slow because of him. Mr. Moh... Worker, Mohammad, at front desk of this hotel showed and provided amazing service to me and my mother. We had some issues that we had been stressing and he was extremely helpful and made us smile. Great man and would consider returning to hotel because of his outstanding helpful service.

This hotel is in he perfect location. Just at Times Square. Renovations have started to update the hotel. They have done the penthouse and are working their way down the building. The room we had was a little run down but perfectly clean and acceptable. No restaurant but they do have a breakfast bar. Very expensive as you would expect in New York City.

The room safe didn't work. The hotel shower bar was only attached in 1 of 2 spots. Hand towel bar was broken. We set the hotel room a/c to 65. It got down to 74 after being there 2 days - even had hotel engineer look at it. Woke up early both mornings due to jackhammering outside. Bed was ok. Had a hot shower both days.

This review is really difficult to write, as I don't want to have my negative emotions have all to much of an influence... as this hotel experience very nearly ruined our New York Trip! This Hotel is by far one of the worst I have ever stayed in.... it took FIVE hours for us to get checked in... first the room wasn't ready, then (after two hours) we got a room which smelled like a public toilet... then (again after two hours) we got a room which was supposedly clean. BUT the bed sheets and pill... Read more

The location of this hotel is great, a few minutes walk to Times Square and subway stations round the corner. We stayed on the executive 18th floor and the room was clean, fresh and of a high quality, the direct elevator is great as there seems to often be a queue for the other elevators. We took and look at some of the other floors and they weren't what I would have accepted from the looks of the corridors! However there was plenty of refit work going on so it looks like they are upgrading o... Read more

Recently stayed here on a 3 day first time trip to NYC. Could not fault the location close to gimes square, 15min walk to central park ahd hell's kitchen. Room was very quiet, blockout curtains, nice firm queen bed and good pillows. Bathroom was small but laid out very well so was very functional. Good aircon as the weekend was sweltering. Only fault room was a bit dark, only a light in the entry and then lamps and not really any natural light. Staff very helpful at checkin and with restaurant s... Read more

The Manhattan hotel was amazing. Mohammad and Eddie were extremely helpful. Our room had a beautiful view of time square. It was very spacious for a New York hotel most of the hotels in New York are so tiny. It was clean and conveniently located close to time square!!!
