It is always good to be back in The Manhattan At Times Square Hotel! The staff are very friendly and courteous and makes you feel welcome all the time. Mohammed and John are a delight to chat with during breakfast time. They are always ready with a smile and a helping hand! Thank you so much for making us feel like this is our home away from home! See you again soon đ???

This hotel is in a great location and the lobby looks great, however, the hotel is old and outdated. I was in room 1128 the furniture was outdated, lighting outdated, bathroom dingy, bathroom door rusted, crack in ceiling, corking horrible job, counter tops out dated. The hallway was dim and while going to a family members room on the 20th floor I noticed the hallway had 2 different color schemes and was even dimmer. The carpet was awful. It was hard for me to pay $667.00 for two nights and... Read more

Checked in with lovely staff, got to the room and was beyond disappointed. The room was disgusting. Once mentioned, offered to move us to a new room the next day, which was a pain because we had to re pack in the morning, re check our bags, and then get settled into a new room the next night. Bellhop aggressively took us into our room and awkwardly stood there until he got more money.. which we never gave because we were offended by his behavior. Excellent location, easy to walk to everything. L... Read more

This is a useful Midtown Manhattan location but the hotel leaves somethings to be desired: we were upgraded to a deluxe room but its only chair was at the desk while there was plenty of room for a leisure chair in the room. They brought another desk chair when I requested twice. The room lacked some features one would expect such as note paper on the desk and glass glasses. The towels were small and thin. We needed attendance to both a running toilet and AC that wasn't working--staff came quite ... Read more

Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights.. We were booked on a small room at the 20th floor. Nothing outstanding with the room except foe the flat iron and board which we found very handy for our need. Hotel is packed with guests and the lobby is always crowded. Our room was never cleaned because the staff were too busy becaise of the high occupancy. But the staff were friendly, courtepus and helpful. The only perfect in this hotel is its location on the 7th street right between times square and c... Read more

Me and and my husband stayed at The Manhattan for our honeymoon in December 2015 and I cannot express how they made it the perfect trip for us, from the moment we got there to us leaving they could not do enough for us all staff are fantastic. I wanted to surprise my husband with a bottle of bubbly so I emailed the hotel before we got there to see if there was anything they could do to help me surprise my husband, I was in shock when we arrived by what the hotel had done for us they had upgraded... The hotel is just barley average. Three hallways are nicked up, wallpaper coming off and carpet needs to be stretched. Lots of bumps in the carpet. Hallways dimly lit too. The carpet appeared newer and nicer on the 5th floor where the fitness room was. Lobby and hotel entrance nice but room is in need of a lot of repairs. Air not that cold either. Room dusty and the front desk offered a very very small credit and to move is the following day due to being booked. The hotel does have a goo... Read more

Stayed here three nights as part of a bigger trip. Hotel lobby looks fine but that's where it ends. Once you get upstairs, the decor is really shabby, carpets very worn and we felt very uncomfortable walking the corridors with people loitering. Our room was uncomfortably small with nowhere to unpack our clothes. Bathroom had mould on the walls and smelled dank. In all it brought to mind the hotel where Tom Hanks stayed in Big. What made it worse was that I had to pay a resort fee, higher than I ... Read more

Completely excited to get to NYC and bring my 19 yr old daughter for her first visit. Never stayed at The Manhattan before we arrived and immediately greeted by a very "glad to see us" employee Mohammad. He made us feel very welcomed and took great care of us, appreciated that as a mom so excited to be traveling with my daughter on an exciting trip for us. Our room is excellent! I'm a solo traveler who was in New York for a trade show at Javits as well as some R&R in the city. This hotel is an older building with newer amenities, awesome location, and friendly and helpful staff. Mohammad checked me in as well as out - and he was so gracious and helpful - and has a beautiful smile. I felt like a valued guest - and for the fee, I was delighted to also have a valued fee level. So close to all the action, without being IN the action, this was the best selection I could have... Read more

The room was nice. It was clean and spacious enough for the two of us. The hotel employees were friendly. The gentlemen that ran the breakfast service (William and John) were helpful. They were able to give us some tips about were to go and what to see. Overall everything was great. I would have given an excellent but there were times when the line for the elevator was quite long. This was partly due to one elevator being down for several days.

My 10yr old daughter and I stayed here for two nights. The room was small but bed quite comfy. The bathroom was outdated but served its purpose. The hallways were worn out and the elevators were slow. Lobby is nice and staff was fine. But all that said, we would stay there again because the location is perfect. A few blocks north of the heart of Times Square, it sits between 51/52 on 7th and its far enough from the mayhem of Times Square. Close to subway, theaters and right near Ellen's Stardus... Read more

The rooms by no means match what are advertised online! When you walk into reception you feel you are going to stay in a really nice, clean, and expensive hotel. Then you leave the lift and what a contrast! Dirty, old carpet that is threadbare and walls that are marked and in need of new decoration. Thankfully the rooms are slightly better - but only just! Very basic. The draws and wardrobe space was dirty and stained and overall the bedroom and bathroom was exceedingly dated. It seems that per... Read more

This is a review for Dolores , John and Bill of Grab and Go, Eddie and Rose of front desk. They are very excellent in their job. They are very accommodating, courteous and always has a welcoming smile, they answer my questions and gave tips on how to go around New York like a local. They gave service above and beyond. They are a treasure to keep in the hotel industry.

Staying at the Manhattan at Times Square was a pleasant experience. For the location and price, you can not beat it. Any issues were quickly addressed and usually compensated with a breakfast voucher. When going down to the lobby to have breakfast I met a delightful woman by the name of Delores. She was extremely friendly and really made my experience much more enjoyable. She also makes a great expresso. You can learn a lot on how a hotel operates by observing the attitude of the staff. This place needs to be renovated badly. Our rooms needed to be changed 2 times. 1st room stains on the bed. 2nd room ceiling caving in, wall paper falling off. 3rd same as second but slighly less crappy. We gave up on the hotel at this point. You guys are a 3 star hotel and should advertise yourself that way.

Back office is disastrous. After an hour on phone, they finally found my reservation that I needed to modify. Thank goodness I called 2 days later to confirm as the change was NEVER made and no confirming email sent. BE SURE TO REQUEST IN WRITING! My room was upgraded to a nicer floor - not all room lobbies are updated. To me it wasn't important but unexpected amenity. There is no restaurant or bar. Bfast is continental and for a fee. Better off buying on street. Place is clean.

I booked a deluxe King room for my mother in law for her birthday through groupon. She checked in the room was old nothing like the picture. The floor was wet from the AC and it also smelled like feet bad. It took over an hour to get her another room and they gave her a smaller room and the thermostat didn't work. It was so frustrating for her and end up leaving. I am so beyond disappointed at this hotel and it ruin a birthday.

The pictures you see of this hotel's rooms are not likely what you will get, unless you paid for the most expensive room. The room we got was in desperate need of a new paint job. The bathroom counter was breaking from the caulk on the walls and the tub had rust stains. The A/C unit barely worked. The sheets on one of the bed had a red stain on it (blood possibly?) and when we called to ask for a new one, it wasn't until 45 minutes later (and a second phone call) that we actually got it. I ...
