I cannot say enough good things about the management and staff at this hotel. Our stay was just perfect. The bellman, concierge, front desk and housekeeping staff were all outstanding, all immediately accommodating to any special needs we may have had. Our room on the 46th floor and had awesome skyline views, was exceptionally clean and very quiet. The Hilton Times Square management and staff helped make our stay in New York so memorable. The Hotel is an excellent place to stay and perfectly situated on 42street between 7th and 8th avenues. It would be difficult to name all the staff who helped make our stay so special, but one person who really shone is Peter from Room Service, extension 2560, he arranged a Birthday cake, iced sparkling wine and a wonderful Hilton Birthday card with hand drawn pictures of New York skyscrapers, surrounded... You enter through a tiny vestibule on Times Square and then take an elevator twenty floors up to the lobby. There's a restaurant there and a small bar and the view down to 42nd street is spectacular. The rooms are very large by New York standards and appointed with the typical Hilton amenities. Breakfast is plentiful and generally well prepared. Staff are well trained and efficient.

The lobby staff are excellent and always on site 24/7. They show you to the lift which takes you to the inner lobby where the Hilton brand hits you. Nice, standard Hilton hotel discreetly hidden above the craziness of 42nd Street. Quite quiet because the hotel starts 20 floors up. Stay here if you're a tourist who wants to be in the middle of it all. Otherwise, pick a different location or you'll be frustrated when you try to walk outside. Enter from the 41st Street side to save yourself a lot of frustration.

I was very disappointed with my stay because when I tried to retrieve an item I had left in the room, I was told that they didn't find it. Stayed for several days and not only was the location perfect, but it was also quiet in the rooms (I had a rear-facing one) without any street noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful across the board. Much to commend it, but in particular want to give a shout out to one of the Concierges, Nabila Perez, who was extremely helpful on more than one occasion and really made a difference. The Quality of the Hotel is Top Notch. My friends and I received great service from David Cirincione once we entered the hotel from the lobby and was greeted with an awesome welcome. We recommend our friends to stay here for both the price and the quality of stay. It also helps that it's in the middle of everything so it's an added bonus.

The location of this hotel in Times Square is excellent, in particular for theater goers. In addition, it is a 5 minute walk to the subway that services the E train to JFK/LGA. This was extremely convenient to avoid the rush hour traffic delays. Service was good as expected and on-par with other Hilton GIs that I had stayed in previously. However, the room I stayed in had started to look a little tired, especially the bathroom.

Good location in Times Square and a standard hotel for the Hilton brand but very adequate. Close to the theatres, subways and Central Park, it was great for us. The entry to the hotel on W42nd street could be easily missed as its in a very small passageway. You'll need to take the lift to the hotel's busy lobby where the check in process was efficient. Called to let them know it won't cool the room and the response was "it's because of the outside temperature" well maybe I'm being stupid, but I thought the whole point of aircon was to cool the room below what the outside temperature is !? I stayed there with my husband on our honeymoon. I booked this hotel mostly because of the location but also because it's a 4* Hilton and we wanted something nice for this trip. We didn't spend much time in the hotel but the room was nice and big (king corner room). Everything was clean and the view was fantastic. All staff was very polite and professional, especially the guys downstairs who helped us get a car to the airport.
