This was my first time staying in the Chelsea area and while my room was fine and clean, we had an awful view of the back of a building. In all fairness, it's not a particularly nice looking area so views might be a problem. The hotel staff were pleasant and courteous and while I have no complaints in particular. I think there needs to be visible help at the front of the hotel. I had to ask for someone to help me and while they did and were pleasant....it just wasn't that New York experience tha... Read more

This is on the BEST places to stay in NYC! When I arrived, I was greeted by Christine. She was pleasant and extremely welcoming. The HUGE SMILE on her face as she greeted me, made me feel like we were good friends who hadn't seen each other in a very long time. I arrived at the hotel around 1 p.m. not expecting to have a room available. She gave me 3 room options and told me that a room was available for me. Great hotel if you need to be in Chelsea or Fashion District. One block from the FIT. Within walking distance to Flat Iron and Union Square. Many great restaurants near the hotel, as well as, many interesting shopping options. You can also walk straight down 26th St. To gain entry to the High Line, an activity I strongly recommend!

The hotel was a pleasant surprise ! From the moment I arrived the staff was very attentive and professional! specially Mily, she made sure that all the request we put in were taken care of. The location was great. It was walking distance to Madison Square Garden and all the surrounding attractions. I also loved the decorum. Great concept! Fits into the theme of the area " Fashion". I plan on returning and telling friends about a possible "hidden jewel".

After a long day travelling we were greeted by Mily at check in, who gave us the warmest welcome to New York and we couldn't be happier, a true asset to the hotel and company. Can't wait to explore New York from such a great location. After checking in to our gorgeous, clean, room we headed to the rooftop bar for a Manhattan in Manhattan. Perfect.

I liked this hotel. Pros: It is very convenient to Times Square, Macys Herald Square, Empire State Building, Chelsea Market and more. It was clean. Rooms very nicely appointed. Typical size for NYC. Cons: The first night the bed made noise all night long. The front desk quickly fixed the issue when we made them aware of the problem. On the front side of the hotel it can get noisy at night with the trash pickup going on outside. It didn't bother me but my husband is a light sleeper so if yo... Read more

We returned to this property for my 40th birthday trip having stayed here before. The location is perfect. But, we were on the 22 floor under the rooftop bar and the noise was disruptive to the point it was hard to go to sleep. Good location that is fairly close to many activities in NYC, but also slightly secluded from the dense tourist areas. Good location if you are trying to avoid the crowds of Times Square. Hotel is in good shape and staff is good. All rooms are basically the same with the exception of the view. I think a high floor above the 19th floor would provide decent views. The attentive service and great location meant that the smallish rooms were less of an issue. Thin walls mean that you can hear all conversations in the hallway and sounds from the next door room. Lots of restaurants within walking distance including Eatally which is worth the 10 minute walk for the whole experience of Italian food and all things Italy.

Enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Fashion District, but not sure if I would stay again. The location was ideal for us, but the hotel offered minimal amenities for a Hilton. As a gold member, I stay at a lot of hotels and this was the least impressive I've stayed at. Typical small room (it is NYC after all), gym was awful, breakfast offering was minimal - so we took the daily voucher for the deli around the corner (which turned out to be terrific). For what I paid, I expect more.

They would prop each door up and down the hall open with the security locks and the let the doors slam against the locks repeatedly beginning at about 7:30 AM. We asked the front desk to have them please not do this and the following morning it was quiet until about 9:30. The banging commenced again the morning a... Read more

Very convenient to so much in New York - especially liked a quick 3 block walk to the HIgh LIne for morning exercise. Staff very friendly - sorry I didn't remember names, but all smiley and helpful - concierge was very helpful. Quiet, great air conditions. Convenient to subway. Visit New York about once a year, but usually haven't found a place that I felt a need to go back to. That has changed. Price was right also - got HHonors free wifi.

We spent one night at the NY Hilton Fashion District. What impressed me most was the quality of the soundproofing -- an unusually quiet room for NYC. Otherwise the room was undistinguished, but in a good way -- bland corporate furnishings, comfortable bed, small bathroom but with decent linens and toiletries. The one negative experience that we had related to the bar: We were staying at the hotel in connection with attending a Rangers game at Madison Sq. Garden, which is relatively close-by.... Read more

We liked it because it is not in the crazy part of Manahttan (42nd Street) but close enough to get there quickly. The hotel is clean as you would expect from a Hilton. It was not cheap but it was good. Nice bar on top of the building and a nice resta... Read more

Nothing to complain about but also nothing exceptional. There is no common area except for a rather depressing restaurant on the ground floor and basement which is large and very empty so not much ambiance. The rooftop bar is great though. I would not hurry to return..... it on the other hand the hotels in NYC are very expensive so maybe this is a good find. I have not been enough to comment. Staff very helpful

We live in NYC and wanted a night away from our kids. This was perfect. Reasonable pricing, comfortable, great service. And right off 5th Ave in a cool neighborhood surrounded by great restaurants and my favorite park - Madison Sq Park! We will come back.

We were in town to cheer on friends running the NYC marathon. This hotel was such a pleasnt surprise. The woman who checked us in was so friendly and efficient, in fact the staff were across the board, amazing. The roof top bar was great, with wonderful views. The rooms were so much bigger than I was expecting. We were in a room 906 and it was a Street facing room, if you use the AC/heater or a white noise app it is enough to drown out any noise from the street- really not much of a concern at a... No better place to stay than the Hilton NY fashion district hotel! This was my 6 time with them and you can't go wrong! First off the rooms are nice and the views can't be beat! You are so close to subways but also there are so many amazing places that are just blocks away! The best part about this hotel is the customer service. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating! Especially Christine, Martha, Zoribel, Mariana, Jhon, and Angel! Always with a smile and always greeted me with my name... Read more

I loved my tiny little room with a big view in a great part of the city. Hotel location makes easy access to all parts of town. Walk to the Flatiron, SoHo, the Village, Penn Station, Times Square...etc 2 blocks from the flower market....tons of restaurants, bars, laundry, Whole Foods, coffee, etc etc..and of course the subway.

Very nice stay at this hotel! Clean, comfortable room, larger than we expected for the location. Very quiet room on the 3rd floor. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating when my 2 year old got into the minibar.

Stayed one night for a business trip. Front desk was accommodated my request for a quiet room facing the back. The room was clean and comfortable. Room size is small but adequate for one person. Would be 5 stars except for two issues: * Walls are extremely thin. Person in next room took an early AM shower and it sounded as if I was there too * Bathroom uses a sensor to turn light off. It has a manual control but was broken so could not stop the auto on providing far too much light in the dead of... Read more

We highly recommend the Hilton Fashion District. Customer service from front desk, house keeping, restaurant staff is fantastic. Don't be fooled be the "Fashion District" location and think you will experience some expectation of needing to fit that demographic. These people are so nice and accommodating. I recommend the higher floor Empire State Building views. They are stunning.

First I must say that every staff member that I communicated with was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Thank you all! The rooms are modern, clean and quite comfortable. The rooftop bar is a nice added amenity. The hotel location is in Midtown, a few blocks from Penn Station, with lots of interesting shopping and dining. This was my second stay there and I have already booked a future visit! A special shout out to Marian and Sam....thanks for being so efficient!

I really was not expecting the amazing experience I had recently at this hotel. It's a beautiful hotel, but more importantly the staff was amazing, especially Sami the Front Desk Director. He was attentive and very helpful; he went above and beyond what was necessary which is what really stood out to us. Thanks to Sami we ended up eating at the hotel restaurant, Rare, and as a die hard foodie I have to say I was extremely satisfied. The burgers were delicious, but my favorite was the french fry ... This hotel is a bit smaller than I was expecting - only 8 or so rooms on each floor - but was very well maintained, and staff very helpful. Breakfast was nice (down one floor) and the rooftop bar is gorgeous with a view overlooking the Empire State building.

My wife and I spent the weekend there. Right near the corner of 7th Avenue so convenient for subway and cabs and easy walk to various attractions. Great rooftop bar with fantastic view. Room was very clean and comfortable (but could use more/better lighting). Valet parking is nice, but you have to call at least 30 minutes in advance when you leave so plan accordingly.

I've stayed at the Hilton Fashion District several times since it opened in 2010. But my last stay was at least three years ago. I like the hotel's central midtown location--near trains, away from Times Square, walking distance from many neighborhoods. The hotel was never luxury but always a solid 4-star stay for the price. Unfortunately, the hotel has slipped and is on the down slide toward shabby in several respects. The overall cleanliness of the room was acceptable (no bugs, clean sheets a... Read more

As usual, the stuff is kind and available, the property is really nice and in a terrific location, far enough from the crazyness of midtown, close to the multitude of restaurants and shops in chelsea, and within reach of the Village as well. The hotel has a very nice and welcoming rooftop bar. I am a diamond member and was upgraded to a room on the 16th floor, definitely much larger than the average room you can expect in manhattan, and very clean too. Only disappointment in the room was the v... Read more

Great location for a bit less noise and sweet ambience. Room was NYC tiny but covered off on all the basics. Two very minor complaints - adjoining room allowed me to hear early morning call of my neighbor and bathroom vanity left little room for personals. Otherwise great spot at a decent price. Lyft promptly picked up and I got around town to various meetings quickly.

I've stayed at Hilton Fashion district several times. While I'll also consider other hotels in the city, this one is my go to hotel. The front desk staff is always welcoming and very efficient. The rooms are clean and modern. The restaurant downstairs is very convenient and has good food and service. But there are many many other dining options within walking distance. The 1 train is just 2 blocks away. Thanks Mily

I normally travel on business to New York a couple of times a month. This is the first time we stay at the Hilton Fashion District, and it really was a great experience. Not only it's close to our clients, but it also offers a lot of cool features, like the rooftop bar, the Rare restaurant among others. We will certainly include the Hilton in our plans in the near future!

The hotel is in a great location. Staff is friendly. Rooms are big and for being in the city, it was quiet at night. The restaurant was ok but there are many within walking distance. You are convenient located to any type of transportation and can get just about anywhere. convenient for business on the fashion district.

Good hotel but nothing special. Rooftop bar was closed Monday and Tuesday. They offer breakfast (for Gold customer, skip the vouchers for the nearby shop) but there are so many good diners in the city. Rooms are ok, clean. I was in the upper floor. The gym is very, very small with no windows (the manager told me about an option with a gym around the corner, maybe next time). Before starting, I should mention that this two night stay was a prize from a Hilton competition. I don't believe that has effected my review, but it should be noted. Firstly, location. It is very close to many things. I was attending a show at Madison Square Garden, which was just a short walk away. Many other places, like Times Square, Empire State Building and the High Line are also an easy walk away. If going further afield then there are also subway stations nearby. The hotel itself was ... Stayed here from 20th November till 23rd November , staff were helpful and friendly , especially when our shuttle company had put our pick up down for the wrong day , the staff were so helpful, they contacted and arranged a private taxi to pick us up within 10 minutes, so we could get to the airport on time to get our flight back to the uk . The hotel is in walking distance of many places to visit , i would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Was a difficult stay. First day, early AM, water (probably gray) ran down the wall and over floor and night stand, edge of bed. No other rooms available. Gave us breakfast, 3+ hr wait for room. Tried to get some sleep as appointments afternoon evening. No room cleaning until third day as slept to 10. On fourth day, ate breakfast, back to get bags and check out-room was locked. Our keys not work. Took time to get in and get this straightened out. All together a real bummer
