The location of this hotel couldn't have been better. We were a few short blocks from Times Square and subway access was right outside the door. The rooms are on the smaller side, and the double rooms are two double beds, so book accordingly. It's hard for two adults to share a double bed, the bathroom is tiny, and there is t much room to move around if you have more than two people (even if it's children) to move around, but we made it work and the location made up for it. The staff was fr... Read more

There is a SPG platinum and gold member line that people don't know if they should be in or not. All the staff were only working in that area so I waited and waited as I watched those that cut in the SPG line get checked in as I got ignored for being in the standard line! The room service dining menu has very little options available. Pillows were not fluffy enough. Rooms were decent size. There are too many other hotel options in the area so I will not be returning.

If the only bad thing I can find about this hotel is that they didn't provide enough coffee, then it must be fab. Virgin recommended this hotel as part of their package, so we researched it and booked! This is the first time we've ever visited New York, and this hotel was perfect for "NY Virgins" - get it ;) .. Anyway.... the hotel room was fantastic, small double bed but still sleep-able (is that even a word? No, well I'm going to use it anyway) for a 8 night stay. Pillows were amazing, we did... Read more

Used the Go shuttle bus from JFK Pulled up to hotel to grumpy "bellboy" - he needs to learn to smile luckily we only had carry on luggage so his services were not required. Booking in process no problem, no waiting time. The room is not a bad size for a city hotel. It was tidy and clean. The choice of beverage was a bit lacking for tea fans - 1 orange teabag! (for a double room!). We used the disposal cup which was not replaced during our 3 stay so we had to share a coffee. I rang guest services... Read more

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The north TS location is convenient to the theater district and south Central Park which are both within walking distance. The room is on the tiny side, with furnishings and amenities all crammed in a space that hardly leaves enough room to walk around. Also, the chaise sofa, while large and comfy, can use either a thorough cleaning or a re-upholstering as there were very visible large stains all over the fabric covering. The queen-size bed, with down-feather pil... Read more

Recently stayed here with my family and stayed on 50th floor, best views of New York could see Central Park and Rockefeller centre. Room was big, clean and tidy. Very quiet and would definitely recommend a stay here. Minutes away from Times Square in one direction and about 10 minutes walk to Central Park in the other direction, managed to see lots of the city in 5 days as location of hotel very central.

Its close to everything tourists would want, but also easily accessible to the Upper West Side. There are restaurants nearby and taxis at the front door. The staff are used to handling people from all over. The rooms can be smallish, but they are well appointed with lights, plugs and SPG amenities. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the temperature can be regulated in the room. A great sleep!!!

The Sheraton Time Square wasn't too bad considering it was the big city. The elevators were confusing and none of the housekeeping staff spoke English. All in all we would stay their again. The room was clean and the food was good.

I stayed at Sheraton Times Square for a business meeting in the hotel. Pluses and minuses... Pluses 1) Ralph the doorman. What a wonderful man! He was so helpful and even remembered my name the next day. There is a ramp to the left of the main doors but it wasn't obvious and even though he had a lineup of people needing his help he rushed to ensure I didn't struggle trying to get my suitcase up the stairs. The Sheraton at Times Square is one of my favorite NYC hotels. The location is excellent being within walking distance to Times Square, the theatre district, Broadway, Central Park, Fifth Avenue, etc. It is also convenient to the subway that, given the NYC traffic, is often the best way to get around. With the high NYC hotel prices, the Sheraton is a great value for the money. The amenities are top notch and the staff is extremely courteous and caring. I will be back.

Perfect location since it's right in the heart of Times Square. No pool or spa but we loved the restaurant downstairs and the bar. We're able to order simple appetizers and have a grown up cocktail. This lounge area also was great when we met other family members. Rooms are ok, but no microwave or fridge. They charge extra for both even if you need one for medication. The only problem with this hotel is that your cell phone service is really weak in the room. You do have to pay to use the fitness center downstairs. This hotel is centrally located to the heart of Manhattan as the name says. We were on 39th floor but did not really have a good view as other buildings are nearby. This hotel is also very busy with lots of tourists. The hotel is okay - it needs a bit of the retrofitting but our stay is only for 1 day so we truly used it to simply catch some zzz before our final destination to VA. The hotel was a perfect retreat and the staff was beyond accommodating. I travel frequently for business and it's nice when a stay is perfect when you travel for pleasure! Your standard of service were both recognized and appreciated!

Our family visited the Sheraton Times Square hotel for major week long National dance competition. Although we did not book overnight rooms (most of friends did), we used the conference centers, ball rooms and restrooms. The hotel (venue) itself is almost a whole city block and HUGE. The the ball rooms are enormous and well equipped to accompany hundreds with offshoot smaller rooms that our dance school used for changing / rehearsing. Staffers are accommodating. Bathrooms and public areas are w... Read more

We were visiting NYC for 2 days. Our stay at the Sheraton Times Square made it even more amazing! check in with Ahmad behind the counter to checking out was easy and quick! It pays to be a Starwood member. I was awarded guest of the day and given an upgrade, breakfast and club level benefits. We were on the 45th floor so we had a nice view. The Sheraton is in an amazing location right at Times Square and 5 min walk to Rockefeller center, Today Show or 5th avenue for window shopping and st P... Read more

My husband and I have just returned home to the UK after a 3 night stay at the Sheraton. Very tired but what a trip! On arrival we were greeted by Joy on reception. We did get there 2 hours before check in but after 12 hours of travelling we thought we would be cheeky and see if we could check in early. Our room wasn't ready but Joy was lovely and let us drop our cases off and have access to the club lounge so we could relax. Also when leaving Joy sorted a late check out for us which was very a... This is close enough to Times Square that you can walk there but far enough to the tourist crowd (2-3 blocks away) that they aren't packing the lobby lining up for the restrooms. There is a subway station right beside the hotel - if you get hungry during the night, there is street food (Halal Guys) right outside, a number of restaurants line the street, the rooms were neat and we hoped we had stayed a bit longer (we stayed 2 nights). My only complaint being that the A/C is a bit loud but other ... Read more

On one hand, it's just a hotel. A nice one to be sure and I hear there are better ones yada yada who cares. It's nice. What it really has going for it is the club lounge. I go up to New York at least once a year, usually with my brother. A part of "what we do in New York" is sit up in the lounge with a view of the city and the park and drink wine. We bring our own bottle and just relax the afternoon away. For a while we just sit on top of the world and live the life to which I wish I were... Read more

I have had pleasant experiences with the Starwood group. I've stayed at their hotels in Malaysia and South Africa. I expected the same great experience when I arrived at the Sheraton New York. Sadly, it was not the case. Here are my issues: 1. I arrived early and asked to check in and at the time there were no available rooms which wasn't a big issue for as I knew I was early. The receptionist said that they'll have rooms ready by 12. When I returned at 12, I was turned away for the second tim... Read more

I stayed here twice in July back to back for 2 different dance competitions. I was here a long time. The first check in was a VERY long line with 2 people at the desk and 1 walked away. But when I finally made it to the checkin the man was very friendly. He gave us a great room! The 2nd & 3 rd time I check in was with Joy. And she was fantastic. On the 3rd check in Joy said I was customer of the day either bc I was or bc she remembered me checking in a few days prior.. She upgraded us, ... Read more

We got a great last minute rate through Priceline so we decided to stay at a large chain instead of looking for a local "boutique" hotel. The Sheraton did not disappoint. The standard room was large and comfortable and the desk staff/bellman made check-in quick and easy. The best feature is the convenient location; the worst, and it is minor, is the noisy lobby area. I probably would not book this hotel at anywhere near its standard rates, but fortunately they typically have discounts on the typ... Read more

I wish I had the words to express how impressed and welcomed my family felt while staying at the beautiful Sheraton Hotel located in Times Square (July, 2016). Everything from the food to the decor were exceptional. Our lovely room on the 48th floor had spectacular views! All of the hotel's employees were pleasant and helpful (with special recognition to our check-in receptionist, "Milly"). Anytime we had a question or request, Milly was happy to help. The hotel's restaurant food was always delic... Read more

Stayed 4 nights. 7th Ave Metro Station is just under the hotel. Can walk to Central Park, Times Square, Fifth Avenue, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral and many more famous places you want to see in New York City at any time of the day. A lot of restaurants around and open pretty late. Have a new elevator car booking system. So be patient. Room spacious (SPG) Bathroom clean. Linen and toiletries replenished daily. Club Sheraton was just ok. Not worth an additi... Read more

This was my second visit to New York, and for me personally, the most important thing about the hotel is location. I like to be close to time square. This hotel is only a few minutes walk away. As you walk out of the hotel and look left, you can see the bright lights of time square. So great location. Took about 40 minutes or so from JFK and costs about 60 dollars in a yellow taxi. Hotel has wifi throughout the building, but stronger signal within the room. Speak to staff and they will explain... Read more
