"I can't really say that it was one of the best experience that I had...
It was clean, staff members were pretty friendly, and the value that I had paid was somewhat reasonable, especially the hotels being located in Manhattan NY. BUT my biggest issue were the BATHROOMS...
When we walked into our room, we noticed that there wasn't a restroom in the room! There was a sink for us to use such as brushing our teeth, washing our faces, etc..., but didn't have an individual restroom to use and no shower/tubs either.
They were located in the hallway where we'll be sharing the restroom with few others (I think there were maybe like 8 rooms on each side of the hallway), so they had 2 restrooms for both hallways.
I really did not like the idea of having to use the restroom outside of our room, and also the idea of everyone sharing one stall and one bath tub together.
Other than the restroom, the rooms were clean, restroom was also clean and nicely designed.
I had hard time deciding whether I would want to recommend this hotel to my friends due to the restroom issue, but other than that, if others don't mind the idea of not having a restoom in their own room/privacy, it should be okay, especially since the price wasn't so bad afterall.
I wish they had a button that said 'maybe', so I could select the maybe button regarding recommending to friends."

"This hotel is in a great location. It is two blocks away from Grand Central Station. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are small but clean. I felt safe walking at late at night back to the hotel. I would stay in this hotel again."

"My wife and I can to NY in Dec, when hotel prices are at their peak, and we needed to stay in budget. The Seton Hotel certainly provided that, though they are not quite a normal hotel. The hotel resides in an apartment building that was converted into a hotel. The rooms are clean but tiny, and instead of central air condition, like in normal hotels, the rooms have a window air unit, like you would have if you stayed at someone's apartment. The room is uninspiring, to put it nicely, but if you are looking for a jail cell to put your head in for the night, it does the trick. It's a nice jail cell, with a TV and nice bathrooms, but forget about conjugal visits. Your neighbors will surely hear you.
What I liked best about the hotel is the staff. They were friendly, personable, and helpful. That part was something you don't get in a normal hotell, more like the kind you get in a nice B&B, professional and courteous. The location is also very good, right near Grand Central.
The hotel is a nice cheap option for a night, but I wouldn't want to stay there for several nights. And despite the nice staff, I would rather pay another $100 and get a regular hotel, and not a make-shift conversion. I would hesitate to recommend it."

"Thumbs up Seton ! Shared bathroom are clean and functionnal. Rooms are tidy and clean. Location is great if yer coming to NYC by plane. Renovation's a bit noisy if you plan to sleep all day long in the hotel (!). Naturally. Otherwise, nights are quiet and peacefull. The staff was always nice to us. "

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. For a hotel with in walking distance of Times Square, this place is great. The price, room, and staff were satisfactory. Make sure that you reserve one of the newly renovated rooms with a private bathroom. One of the guest said the room they got was really dated and old, but the staff upgraded them to a new room in no time. This is not a luxury hotel, but I was very pleased with what we got. "
