We had a special visit to NYC, supported by our wonderful stay at the Seton Hotel. From the moment we arrived we knew we'd chosen the perfect place. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, making sure you have everything possible to make your stay amazing. The rooms, facilities and location in Manhatten are as good as you could ever wish for. Two blocks to Grand Central Station, close (comfortable walking distance) to Empire State, Crysler, Time Square and The Flat Iron. The surrounding rest... Read more

Stayed here for a week. Great location. Centrally located to just about anything. Very clean and stylish boutique hotel. The staff and owner were extremely nice and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and see and best method of travel. We loved it so much... We're coming back again in November.

Located just 2.1/2 blocks from Grand Central Station, and 1.1/2 blocks from the stop for the Newark Airport - Grand Central Station shuttle, it is very conveniently located. Rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, while it lacks large hotel type amenities, it is surrounded by restaurants, bars and convenience stores. While not exactly an economy hotel, its location, rooms and convenience, make it a good choice for business and couples. Only issue is it... Read more

Ok Hotel close to all this great city has to offer. 5 minute walk from Airporter bus stop at Gran Central. Rooms on small side but has all that is required. Good lounge area. No breakfast but so many eateries close by. Minutes from metro.

We stayed at the Seton Hotel for three nights in a superior twin room. The location was great and really convenient for places like Grand Central Terminal. The staff were friendly, wifi was strong and reliable and the rooms were spacious (for New York!) and comfortable.

Unfailingly great customer service from the moment of arrival. Clean, modern, well equipped, comfortable room. Outstanding location a few blocks from Grand Central - we had an 88 year-old traveler with us and walked there for lunch at the Oyster Bar. Parking garages down the street. Had a great restaurant recommendation from the gentleman at the front desk. The price in the busy season was really reasonable for the quality of the hotel. I would highly recommend The Seton Hotel to anyone travelli... Read more

The room was modest but enough for our stay. If you want loads of space, this probably isn't for you. It was clean, the bathroom was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. They offer complimentary coffee 6-11am but nothing else. A vending machine in the lobby helps out of those hours.

Arrived in the afternoon, got checked in with no issues. Got some very good advice on places to eat and they also booked our helicopter ride and tickets for Wicked. All staff were very nice and helpful. Cleanliness was very good with fresh towels every day. We shared a bathroom with one other room which was fine. Never had any issues or needing to wait for it to be free to use. Pity we didn't find the bath robes until we were checking out! Well situated close to some nice restaurants and about 1... Read more

We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel was really central and really clean. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough to help/answer questions. The hotel rooms are basic but they have everything you need to a stay in NYC as all the fun is on your doorstep. I would go back to this hotel when back in NYC.

The Seton Hotel is in a fantastic location, close to Grand Central Station. The hotel is compact but has good amenities, with a snack area and lounge for guests. The room we booked was a double with private bathroom; whilst the room is in good condition and clean, it is small. After one night we asked if we could upgrade as it was just too claustrophobic for us and the bed far too small. This was not the hotel's fault as they are quite clear about room sizes but I don't often think of space in m... Read more

The size of this room in NYC - that is within walking distance to Time Square is certainly not the norm in my experience! We had a room with two beds (our college age daughter was with us). The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a refrigerator in the room. There is no central air as this is an old - albeit current - building but the large/new AC unit did the job. The room was clean and had a nice bathroom. I would most definitely stay at the Seton again.

Stayed for 5 nights in June. The hotel is in a great location and nicely furnished with excellent wifi. Our room was great - 2 double beds with a small but beautifully clean bathroom and good air conditioning. We were on the 6th floor and the room was quiet. All staff were pleasant and helpful - even giving tips on the least expensive way to get around in the city and good value places to eat. There was no iron in the room but a board and iron were provided straight away when we asked at recepti... Read more

Room had old world charm with modern day amenities. In was like taking a step back in time, but once we were in our room it was very modern. We had 2 adults and 2 children and plenty of room. Very close to Grand Central Station and only about 2 blocks from Times Square! The staff was top notch and kudos to them because you really don't find that in alot of hotels!

Great value for money, highly recommend this hotel! Booked a last minute overnight stay for my first night in NYC for only USD$80 and the hotel is in a fantastic location - within walking distance to all the main sights in midtown Manhattan (Chrysler building, Grand Central Terminal, Empire State Building, United Nations, New York Public Library etc.). Groceries, pharmacy, cafes/restaurants all within a block or two, but it is a few blocks walk to the nearest subway so keep this in mind if you h... Read more

I just got back home from a week spent at the Seton Hotel. I can only give positive impressions of my time spent there. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient to all midtown Manhattan locations. There were a myriad of options for dining and entertainment nearby, and if Times Square appeals, it was an easy walk. All in all, a wonderful experience, and with no concerns for safety. Many thanks to everyone there!

I had doubts and I thought that I would get an average place for the cheap price. However Seton hotel is extremely great value for money. It is new and modern. I feel safe here and the staff are wonderful. I bought a bottle of wine and did not have a corkscrew. The staff had one delivered to my room. I will definitely stay here next time Im in NYC.

I didn't enjoy my stay at Seton. Couple of issues to note: extremely dirty carpets, loud A/C unit, paper thin walls. I could hear the girls next door talking and using the hair dryer - couples, you've been warned. The TV only has a few channels (under 20, some with distorted quality). If you only plan to sleep in the room, I suppose it is good enough (although I had trouble sleeping because of the noise). But if you would like to be able to relax in the room or the hotel after business meetings,... Read more

The hotel is great for a NY stay when you just use it to sleep at nights. Bedrooms are comfortable and people at front desk very polite and helpful. The shared bathroom was my great worry but I have to say that it was clean every time I wanted to use it and never saw other people coming in or out of it. The hotel ended up being perfect for us. One detail I would improve seriously is the bed size. We paid for a standard room but the bed was really tiny and smaller than a regular queen size. We k... Read more

Not easy to find a cheap and acceptable hotel in New York, but if you look for a bed and a shower in Midtown Manhatten, Seton Hotel is definitely one to look out for. Only minus we found was too narrow bed for two, however sleeping on the floor was not that bad. Location is perfect for anything in NY.

My daughter and I had 36 hours to spend in NYC and chose the Seton for the price and location. We will go back in the future for the service and the style! Brittany was so very helpful upon our arrival, gave us great advice of what to do to see all that we could in our short stay. It was the perfect place to land after a long day of sight seeing and they were so kind to keep our bags so we didn't have to lug them around on day #2. This is well located to walk to much of New York and only a short distance to Central Station to catch the subway. Make sure you choose rooms at the back of the hotel as they are quieter than the front. The window-located air conditioning units are noisy and the rooms are quite compact, but clean and comfortable. Britney on reception was fantastic, with a good sense of humour, very helpful with advice and a great NYC accent. We'd stay here again.

The Seton has gone thru a facelift and it has become my favorite place to stay because of the value. The Seton offers several options when it comes to rooms for example their cheapest room is the "Standard Economy Shared Bath" this room is great for when you are only there for the night or just need a place to rest between meetings. If you are staying longer the best option is the "private bath rooms" these rooms are like any other hotel room. The "newly renovated rooms" are the best and the... Read more

This old hotel must be popular as it was so full, I had to take a room with a shared bathroom and shower down the hall but still had to pay over $200 for a same-day booking due to Amtrak's notoriously late arrival of The Maple Leaf from Toronto. The location is good, with both a late-night Irish pub and cheap 24-hour eats within walking distance. An easy walk to Grand Central with baggage the next morning. I would do it again despite the inconvenience of having to take a pedicab there from Penn ... Read more

Stayed at the Seton Hotel recently during a family trip to New York. The Hotel was centrally located and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Freddy who was a real character.
