I came with my girlfriend the first time to New York. We were welcomed so nice by the door man and the front desk. The room was very nice and location of hotel perfect. All staff very friendly. We had one breakfast at the hotel - that did not meet our expectations, but the General Manager promptly got involved and solved the problem. Thumbs up!! We will be back :)

Clean, updated hotel, on a quiet street (for NYC), staff was amazing. Valet people were all smiles. I will stay here on every visit to NYC from now on. The water pressure was great, which is not the case in many NYC hotels. The bedding was new and spotless.

The hotel demonstrated an exceptional approach to offering Omni guest services during our stay to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. When it was learned that we were married there 33 years ago (ceremony in the incredible 21st floor penthouse and reception downstairs), the hotel surprised us with an upgrade to the penthouse from the Berkshire King suite, also gorgeous lilac roses, Moet champagne, balloons, wedding confetti, vouchers for brunch, and made sure we signed up for the Omni guest ... We stayed here for a week to celebrate my milestone Birthday .. We would stay here again as it was so central and the staff helpful.. We stayed in room 903 which was at the rear of the hotel and therefore nice and quiet which made for a good night sleep away from traffic noise ( although no view of course ).. Fab stay ?????╗

We stayed at this hotel while in the city to see a baseball game and were so happy we did! The hotel is perfectly situated, walking distance to Time Square, Rockefeller Centre, Central Park and the subway. The rooms were large by NYC standards. We had a corner suite that connected to a double room which works very well for a bigger group. The living room in the suite was huge! We've just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel very happy with our choice. The location in midtown is fantastic, the room was at the back of the hotel and was clean, well appointed & spacious. The air con, wifi & beds were excellent, the staff were friendly & very professional. We really could not have chosen a better hotel for what we were after. But unfortunately the reviews of the attached restaurant were not good, so I found with a little research on here a number of good value option... Read more

I like staying here as it is central to everything. The hotel is nice and the rooms large for NYC. The only thing I don't like is their bar and a very limited late night bar menu, but everything else is good.

We stayed there last weekend with our teenage daughters. We also brought our dog along because the hotel is pet friendly. There are rooms on each floor that are particularly good for families because the rooms are a joined by a small hallway. The hotel is large enough to offer all services but small enough to give great personalized service.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Omni Berkshire Place, NYC and the holiday was incredible. The hotel was in a great location and was spacious, modern and clean. The complimentary wifi worked perfectly and the evening turn down service was a lovely touch. All the staff, from on the door, to reception and room maids were efficient, helpful and friendly. The hotel was well appointed and clean. The only downside for us was that we were in room 334 at the front of the hotel and suffered from road noise and also air conditioning throughout the night.

This hotel was a great value. The location was excellent. Easy access to Broadway shows and restaurants and shopping. Central Park and other attractions were a quick walk or subway ride away. Concierge was very helpful in getting to where we needed to go. Would definitely stay there again for a weekend get away! The quality of the room was great and larger than what we are used to in Manhattan.

Nicely refurbished hotel in the heart of mid-town. Close to Rockefeller Center, Central Park and Grand Central Station as well as numerous subway stations. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I had contacted them in advance to let them know we were celebrating a birthday and they brought us cake, chocolate milk, cookies & bottled water along with a note from the concierge. There is a small cafe across the street (Isadora's) that is quite good with reasonable prices.

If you are an experienced traveller and have seen many Hotels, do not go there. The Hotel is in urgent need of a renovation. Rooms are small and carpets are smelly. Just checked out of the hotel and here is why I liked it. 1-there are 2 outlets on each side of the bed for your devices. 2- the bathroom is a pretty, nice size, and the counters large enough to hold personal belongings. 3- lighting in the bathroom is great and there is a magnifying mirror with light which women like for putting on makeup. 4-beds were very comfy and the pillows were soft/ feather, easy to sleep with. I have stayed at this hotel before and have never had an issue. This trip was a bit different. The initial room we checked into was wet from a bathroom flood in the room above. The room was promptly changed which was great but the new room needed a better cleaning (grimy bathroom) and there was an empty booze bottle under the sink, which I noticed in the tub. We asked for a late checkout (2pm) which they wouldn't do until after we spoke to the manager. The bellman was also not very pleasant when... Read more

We just loved the location of this hotel. The Omni is not a huge hotel, which we liked. Also it's a bit off the main track where all the tourists are, but close to the subway and buses. The hotel is in the midst of redoing their restaurant, so there was no place for breakfast, although they did bring us coffee and we could order a continental breakfast. When we go back to NY, we will stay at the Omni again.

As a life long New Yorker, now living in Florida, this has become my hotel of choice when in New York. You simply cannot beat the location. You're out the door with Fifth Avenue to the right and Madison, Park Avenue, and Lexington to your left. I love it's size and the layout of the Lobby with the Concierge and elevators tucked away from check in. The best are the rooms, a great size with everything you need, space to spread out and super bathrooms. My new home away from home. Cynthia

We choose the Omni due to its location in respect to Broadway, Times Square, 30 Rock and Central Park. When you think of a NYC hotel, this is your spot without footing the extra $$$ you would at the Waldorf or Ritz. From the doorman upon entering to the very elegant furnished rooms. We had a great stay and will stay here again when we return. Nothing but great things to say

I deducted one star because we called on our drive to NYC at noon to find out if our room would be ready when we would arrive at 2PM. Our friends suggested this hotel and we recently stayed here for 6 nights. It was a good location for our first time in NYC. It was walking distance to Times Square (and other attractions) but far enough that you weren't right in the middle of the tourist crowds. We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in, to get an upgraded room on our arrival, so we had plenty of room to open and leave our cases on the floor, which apparently by New York standards is really good. The staff was lively, location great and rooms were very nice we just had an overnight for an event and up and including the valet service was very helpful and kind. Checkin was instantaneous and so was checkout. The full size beds were a bit small so I would have preferred queens but next time I'd get a king room. The bathroom was beautiful and the closets were roomy.

We stayed at the Omni the weekend of our daughter's wedding and had a block of rooms reserved for guests. The rooms were lovely and the hospitality staff, valet, porters and doormen were professional and friendly. Had a great experience. The only downside was the restaurant and bar were closed as a new restaurant was coming and renovations were not complete. Because of this there was no place in the hotel to meet our guests for a drink, light meal, etc.

Unfortunately the Omni Berkshire didn't live up to what one would expect from such an incredible hotel in Midtown NYC. I booked my room through a 3rd party (because the rates are so much better) and called immediately after I booked the room to make sure that the room would accommodate myself and two boys. After 15 minutes on hold time I finally spoke with a lady through centralized booking for Omni and she confirmed to me that the room would be sufficient. When I arrived I was told that my r... This is my first tripadvisor review ever. Ok, so I come to NYC every month for business and need to be in the city quite frequently. I am one of those people who takes comfort in being a repeat customer to places I like as I know where to go and the level of service to be expected. I usually stay in Central Park and was reluctant on a place in midtown because I simply hate small rooms. I hate them. We have just returned today from the Omni Berkshire and we're certainly not disappointed. Large well presented room, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Ideally located. I spend about 120 days on the road per year. I go to New York a lot, and it is the only place I really don't have a go to hotel. This is mostly due to the fact that New York is so unbelievably expensive and the hotel rates are so variable that I tend to try to find something within a price range I can stomach there. I do tend to stay in luxury hotels, but in New York doing this under $700 a night can be a challenge at certain times of the year. Here is where the Omni Berkshire comes in. I... Read more

Do not stay here if you are a business traveler. I have stayed here several times in the past with no problem. This time I was given one bad room after another - terrible outside noise - so loud I could hear inside my room even through noise cancelling headphones. Checking out early and moving to another hotel. If you want a decent night's sleep or to do work in your hotel room definitely find another hotel.

The concierge and packaging assistant were great. The people at the door I think have no idea what their job is. It's been a year since I last stayed here. I'm happy to report that the hotel is as good now as it was them. Pleasant staff and comfortable rooms.
