From the lack of response to emails, no taking account of room requests, elevators rammed with daytime drunks through to the incorrect mini bar billing our stay was not hassle free. The staff seem friendly but nothing gets done when requested. Guests seem to rate second to getting people into the Mr Purple bar. The bar is very popular and rightly so, uber cool rooftop set up where the trendy folks can out trend each other whilst staring at their smartphones. Elevators during the later day/night ... I wasn't sure whether I'd enjoy this hotel and location, but it turned out to be a place where I'd happily return. The hotel is new and done in an industrial, chic vibe. For NYC, the rooms are a good size and reasonably comfy with all the usual amenities. But, what is really important: The staff was amazingly helpful - especially the Bell staff. There is parking next door that is safe and reasonable (for NYC) Wonderful location - great restaurants and bars and shopping Good for public transpor... Read more

The hotel appears brand new and it is very nice. The rooms are small but similar to other NYC hotels and they are very quiet and comfortable. The lobby is on the 14th floor but the staff was exceptionally helpful and professional. The 15th floor lounge includes a rooftop bar called Mr. Purple the views from the roof were amazing but it is a very popular location and there was a line of people waiting to get in at night but guests do have priority access but it is very crouded and more enjoyab... So many hotels to choose from and none were a good deal during the week of our visit. But we chose the Indigo and we chose well! Our room was large with an amazing bed. We had no view from the 3rd floor, but we had a patio and loved having the door open on two beautiful spring afternoons! There was a huge vent-type of thing right outside the patio enclosure - We only heard it once when we had the patio door open and our a/c was off. Otherwise, the room was super quiet, everything was very co... Read more

There was plenty of hanging space and drawers which we needed for a week??s stay. ? The bed was extremely comfortable. ? The bathroom was large and functional. ? The housekeepers do a fantastic job of keeping the rooms immaculate. ? Check in and check out were fast and efficient. ? The location in the hear... Read more

Very nice place to stay inside the East Village of NYC. The decoration and the design is quiet outstanding and for sure shall keep your interest if you like art and architecture. Nonetheless, a very bad point to come about the swimming pool and terrace who has remained constantly non accessible, due to the continuous private party rented by the Hotel, despite the request of the customers who were invited to come back around the pool another day. I researched hundreds of NYC hotels and decided on Hotel Indigo Lower East Side because of its location and eclectic neighborhood. The rooms were extremely quiet, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms very well lit and it had a large rainfall/handheld shower. The roof top bar was amazing. I found this hotel to be immaculate, the views breathtaking, and the hotel staff were most helpful, informative and accommodating. I like this hotel a lot. The neighborhood is great. Walking distance to great restaurants, night life, coffee houses, galleries and East Village. Also, very close to subway and bus, so really easy to get around! This was our second stay and we scored a terrace room this time! Nice sized king room (especially for NYC) and huge terrace. The first thing about the new Hotel Indigo is its location in the heart of the Lower East Village, a place being gentrified, but still offering a bit of grunge. Its an area ear-marked for redevelopment, to offer restaurants yet still close to Canal Street and the vibrancy of Chinatown. To cater for all travelers, the new Intercontinental-run Indigo brand has 4 star-appointed rooms with spectacular views over the financial districts and the main bridges of Manhattan, but with a industrial/warehou... Stayed here with my sister and niece for a couple of nights. We had a lovely time. Pleased with the large rooms and huge bathroom, really well thought out design and layout of the hotel. Really nice touches from the graffiti and other art to the lit-up staircases to the bar (made everyone coming down look like silhouettes). I found the idea of entering an apartment/office building and having to enter the lobby on the 14th floor fascinating, and a new experience. One flight of stairs above you find the restaurant, pool and terrace - I wish I would've had more time to enjoy these areas. We choose this hotel because of the pool. For us to come home after shopping and take a swimm and to start the day with breakfast outside by the pool was perfect. But the area with sun som not open in the morning - instead you have to sit in the shade. The bar at the pool was so popular for outsiders that there was no area to by in the afternoon. and noisy. When that is said the hotel is an art piece and very beautiful. The service very good.

Fanny is the greatest!!! We booked this hotel for our sons 16th birthday. He only wanted to go to Katz's Deli. So our hotel was planned around it. I told Fanny while checking in about this she saw how excited he was about the hotel. To make his birthday even better she made sure we had the best room possible. It is AMAZING. Never want to leave. If this is how things are starting, it can only get better. Thanks Fanny. You're the best. Hotel is pretty good too. Just kidding

The amenities are great (I would only suggest the addition of a couple of water bottles in the room upon arrival. great location, great view, nice rooms, but don't expect to get any sleep, at least not in room 1702. this room is adjacent to, and one floor above the top of two elevator shafts. i don't know if there was something wrong with the machinery or if it's this way all the time, but for 22 hours of the day it sounded like someone was trying to break the door down 4 or 5 times per minute. the only time we slept was between 4am and 6am, when the impact was limited to 1 or 2 times per minute. the bed an... This is hands down my favorite place to stay in NYC particularly if you can get a room on one of the upper floors because they have surprisingly great views of the city and the East River over to Brooklyn. The pool is really small but the rooftop bar area has a great vibe and is slammed most nights. The upstairs lobby area is a great place to relax and work. The rooms, while small, are very efficiently furnished and comfortable. There are dozens of great restaurants within walking distance and t... Read more

I really liked this hotel. It's in a great location and is one of the newer hipster style hotels popping up around the country. The decor is urban and the service was excellent. The have a great lounge-lobby on the 14th floor with a great view and a bar on the 15th floor with an even better view and outside bar. The lobby has a small bar liquor and coffee bar. The rooms are adequately sized and have all the amenities. My only complaint was it was loud outside and the room wasn't well so... Read more

Very swanky hotel just watch out for two big pitfalls; -The pumps for the rooftop swimming pool ( which has been operational but closed every time I've stayed) reverberate into the rooms below for a few floors ( east side 12,11,10 th floor) and sounds like a drill in the head. - room AC/heat is super loud ( but can be turned off). Beds are awesome, it's clean and love the staff. But the rooms below the swimming pool... unless you are fond of the sound of a dentist drill....

We truly enjoy the Lower East Side as a place to enjoy the new energy of NY. The rooms are very comfortable and the 14th floor lobby gives you a great view of lower Manhattan while enjoying you first coffe of the day. The staff is attentive and there is a rooftop bar and pool to enjoy in the warm weather. This is our third stay at the Indigo and won't be our last.

Even though we were on the 14th floor, and facing away from Houston street, this hotel was noisy because the surrounding area was a free for all party zone on weekends. I'm talking about honking and screaming on the streets up into the wee hours of the morning, like 3 am. It was like the cast of Jersey Shore all came down to the lower east side and partied all night. Tons of 20 somethings and younger lurching around in high heels and makeup etc. The rooms were nice and clean as pictured. Plus... Read more
