I've stayed here a few times and the staff is always friendly, the rooms clean and well appointed, and the rates better than anything nearby. Very close to many main subway lines. Easy walk to Wall Street, Battery Park, river walk, South St seaport. About 15 minute walk to SoHo and Little Italy. If this is the area you're looking for, this hotel is a good value for a nice spot.

As the gentleman on the elevator stated; "I'm going to my closet to sleep". The room we had was super small and arranged very poorly. There wasn't a dresser for clothes and the bathroom only had a small shower. We were told when we checked in that it was a very quiet room; however, we could here the traffic and every person walking down both streets next to the room (we were on the corner) as well as the slamming doors of neighbors and talking from the room above. They have room service but ... Read more

The location was ideal for me. It was a very short walk to work and to both restaurants where we had work meals and restaurants that I wanted to eat at. The space is cozy, but worked perfect for when I was working in the hotel.

Perfect location for our destinations on this trip, but the room was so tiny we literally had to crawl over the bed to use the bathroom. It was clean, quiet and convenient though so since we knew we wouldn't be spending much time there anyway it was fine for our purposes.

I was absolutely delighted to find another holiday Inn at an affordable price in mangattan over the holiday period Nov 2015. I booked 5 rooms and the service was again as expected ....warm..friendly...eager to please....the restaurant staff were lovely....the breakfast was an essential part of our stay and very satisfying. Staying here added a touch of professionalism to my private tour of 10. Thank you !

I'd be lying if I denied being a bit shocked by how small and tight the hotel is when I first saw it. It's like a hole in the wall that has been squeezed into a tiny spot! The rooms were no exception as they were really tight. All of that said, the hotel is very functional. It is run by excellent friendly staff who are very helpful and who greet with a smile. The hotel is very conveniently located for the train (a story in itself in terms of learning how to use it!) and if you have business i... Read more

Me and my best friend visited New York for 5 nights at the beginning of June. Yes the hotel is small, but the room we had was lovely (corner room away from the lift) and the bed was massive! A really refreshing member of staff (I think her name was Tanya) was so lovely to us all throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. I imagine for businessmen around wall st it would be very handy as its only a couple of streets away and also very convenient for the subway. Will definitely stay again ... Read more

I stayed with my parents, so 3 adults. The hotel is very conveniently located. It is at a walking distance from wall street station, battery park is also 10 minutes walk, wall street, Charging bull, new york stock exchange is also at a walkable distance. The room was very tiny, which you would expect in New York. But it was enough for 3 people. There was a sofa bed which accommodated one person. The bathroom door was tricky. The breakfast was very good with variety of options to chose from. ... Read more

First things first, I understand that space is a premium in New York, so you can't expect the same space/price ratio you get elsewhere. That said, this was the smallest room I've ever stayed in and it wasn't cheap. The room was roughly two-three feet larger than the bed, made more difficult by having a desk in the room that doesn't really fit. If you were one person travelling alone, it would be OK. Two people with two small cases is too many for this room. We checked in after midnight and o... Read more

Great things about this place include location, rooms, comfort. Amazing things about this place include the extraordinary staff. The bartenders Vlad and Olena make amazing drinks. There is no problem too big for the receptionist Lili. She helped us sign up for a membership that allowed a late checkout. All in all, a great place with amazing people making it special.

The location is just walking distance from many attractions such as 9-11 monuments, Battery park (ferry to liberty island), wall street district, century 21, and pier to enjpy Brooklyn bridge. The room is bit small but clean. The breakfast is good but limited in option. The parking is 2 blocks away and cost you $30 per day.

Great location, rooms and overall service. Special thanks to Lili at the reception desk for going above and beyond to help us with a couple of issues during our stay. Vlad and Olena at the bar make amazing drinks and are very professional and friendly. Great place, amazing hospitality.

We had a few issues with the room we had and Tanya was great in trying to get things resolved. The first one was the weird smell when we first opened the door. It smelled like a wet carpet that didn't seem to have dried completely. We turned off the air conditioning and, thankfully, were too tired to bother with the smell. Next morning, we brought out concern to Tanya who explained it might be the air conditioning unit. She promised to have an engineer look at it and would happily move us if w... Read more

Stayed here for just two nights. This hotel had everything that is needed for just a short business trip or similar. Very friendly staff, quick check-in process, and automatic check-out. Furthermore, the hotel is in a great location in FiDi with lots of shops and restaurants around. If I'm back in the city, I will definitely consider this Holiday Inn.

The hotel is surprisingly quiet outside high foot-traffic hours. That being said, it's just a bit inconvenient to get food at night. MTA Fulton station is really close, and trains takes about 20-30 mins to get to midtown and uptown. Many popular attractions near by, WTC, Brooklyn Bridge, City Hall, Trinity Church and St Paul's Cathedral, Wall Street and the Charging Bull (go really early for pictures or otherwise Chinese grandparents tour groups pole-hogging the bull), and the Battery Park ferry... The Holiday Inn has tasteful rooms with everything you need, thoughtfully designed into a compact space. The staff are lovely and helpful. It also had the best price in the City (for a decent hotel) for the week I was staying there. The only real problem was the shower water temperature - which could not stay constant no matter what I tried - it varied from quite cool to almost scalding with no change on the dial.

Tanya and her colleagues were wonderful; courteous, helpful, and friendly. I wish I knew who our waitress was at breakfast but, each morning she asked about the previous day's activities (remembering specifically where we told her we were going). She also knew what we wanted as far as our drinks and had them as soon as we came into the restaurant. Hotel was close to the 9/11 Memorial and was an easy walk to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island and Tour Buses. Will stay there for again.

This hotel is a bad example for using a famous name in a bad way. The entrance reminds me of small hotels in New Delhi or Manilla. The room is very small and the air conditioning is noisy and smells bad. I honestly got disgusted stepping on the greasy carpet. I agree that it's close to the financial district but that is the only merit of the hotel. I will never think of staying there again.

It was the first time in New York for us so this hotel have an excellent location for all tourist activities we have had in mind. The staff was ok overall. We choose initially a room at 4th floor and it was very noisy (builders outside and staff inside) and no view, of course. We tried twice to change the room and finally we did it only next day. The 24th floor room was very quiet and the view amazing. The best on this hotel: location and view from higher floors.

This was listed as a 3.5 star hotel. I think it should be a 2 star. Room smelled and had a layer of dust on the remote which tells me the room hasn't been cleaned thoroughly. Bed was lumpy. Buzzing sound in the bathroom all night. However, the staff was very nice.

First off, great staff! Very helpful, held our luggage so we could go exploring as we got in a few hours before check in and were helpful with my wife who is in a wheelchair. But, room and hallways were very cramped, not easy to navigate with my wife's wheelchair. And even though I specified a wheelchair accessible room when I booked we did not get one. At least we got a shower instead of a tub. Still the location worked well for us and the overall would be good just not great.

I am a pretty simple dude, and really only require a clean, safe place to sleep and shower. This holiday Inn was plenty good for me. If you are looking for fancy, then look elsewhere, but i have no complaints at all. Small, but clean room. Comfy bed and hot water. Staff seemed friendly at check-in. Would certainly stay here again.

His name is Kelvin. He's the desk clerk. He's why you should stay here. Kelvin is EXACTLY who should work at the front desk of a hotel. Especially in NYC. He's smart, courteous, professional, and actually knows where he works (you'd be amazed how many desk staff have no idea where anything in their immediate neighborhood is). He can carry a conversation, handle multiple people POLITELY, and in general is the guy I would hire. I suspect he won't be here long. If management is sharp (and t... Read more

I choose the Holiday Inn for its location which was perfect. But unfortunately I was very disappointed with the standard of the hotel. On first impression the people on the front desk even though they were always very pleasant and welcoming, I feel that the casual clothes that they wore are not in keeping with a professional appearance. But maybe that is the Holiday Inn standard workwear? Thankfully I was staying on my own as the room was very small and certainly not suitable for 2 people. I fee... Read more
