We always try to find an affordable place to stay in NYC. This was the largest, most comfortable, and the nicest employees! We visit NYC every year and this was our best find. We loved the mattress and the room was very large for NYC. Every interaction with an employee was very positive. The location was very convenient.

(EFFECTIVE FEB 14,2017: this property will be rebranded to the Watson Hotel and will no longer be in the IHG family) Things to love 1) location! It's a few blocks away from all the major NYC 'musts' (broadway, Central Park, Carnegie hall). Plenty of transport option all around. The bus stop is just around the corner. The subway is a block and a half away and plenty of cabs around 2) room size. I got upgraded as an IHG Spire member to a deluxe twin. The room was very large especially consider... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week in January. With taxes included this hotel was 100 dollars a night, not the cheapest or the most expensive. What we got in return for our money however was something you would expect from a really cheap budget hotel. Like so many others have said the hotel is really old and in desperate need of renovation. Even the bathroom was a challenge since they are using a really old plumbing system that can scold you or freeze you without warning. At one point w... Read more

We stayed here for 5 nights last month. The hotel is looks a little dated in the corridors, however generally it is a clean and friendly place. The room we were in was on the 17th floor and was clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable, the best I have ever experienced in a hotel, so a massive 5/5 for that! The heating worked sporadically, but luckily the room was warm enough to cope without it, plus we were out of the room most of the day. The bathroom was very clean, i've never seen wallp... Read more

This is your average Holiday Inn, pretty standard regarding the facilities within the rooms. I don't understand some of the negative reviews - it's a budget hotel, what exactly do you expect? The rooms are clean and functional, and housekeeping did a great job. The front desk staff were all very friendly, and the bell desk were more than helpful. The building itself, both inside and out, is tired and needing updating. The whole place could do with being modernised. I'm sure this is something t... Read more

The building is dated but not to bad but when I complained about housekeeping not coming and a few other minor things I was told if you dont like it we will cancel your stay and you can check out. I did just that and will NEVER stay at this property again. Please note that after contacting Holiday Inn , they noted they have many many problems with this property and have canceled there contract with them it will no longer be a Holiday Inn as of Feb 14 because of how bad the management is. Don't w... Read more

checked in at 10am, because of the early flight, no squabbles from the front desk, 15th floor street view, guess what your in New York City, is there noise, of course. Get over it! Is the elevator slow, only if every stops every floor, if its too slow take the stairs. Staff friendly and helpful, don't think they need all the bellmen as they just talk to each other, instead of offering assistance, but I didn't need help. The room was clean, housekeeping did a great job, stayed 5 nights. only nega... Read more

Simply awesome, the Holiday Inn in Midtown is very close to Times Square and the best thing is that in the right time of the year, its super affordable, its has the option of having a microwave in the room with its mini fridge. The staff, is simply amazing.
