We went for a weekend and loved the location of this hotel . Parking onsite . Near everything ! The MOMA , pubs and Broadway all nearby . Our room was nice and comfortable . Of course a bit pricey but that is New York City . Everything is expensive so we expected that . Friendly staff .

Was a nice hotel and situated in an excellent location within Manhattan. Would to have a fridge in the room. It would of been to have access to a restaurant and bar. However around the location there were plenty of options for food a drinks within Manhattan.

The hotel itself was clean and inviting. The staff extremely friendly, gracious and helpful! This was perfect for our weekend away in the city! The atmosphere was not stuffy. The location is not at the center of the tourist sections, but, they are not far to walk too, either. There are some great restaurants located near by too, one of them Sparks Steakhouse! I highly recommend both!

Great hotel. Nice location, close to grand central. There were lots of great restaurants and shopping near by. A close walk to the east river/central park. Overall a very nice hotel. The room was clean, wifi was fast and the rooms were very quiet. Not much street noise or hallway noise.

We thought from the photo that there was a roof top restaurant or bar, that's not this hotel! ??? Despite that, the hotel is clean, quiet and its in a good location. Great transport links Grand central is 10min walk away, if you use it you'll need the Lexington exit. We stayed on the 4th floor and had no issues getting the elevator. Double rooms are small but good for our 5 night stay. Unable to comment about breakfast because we didn't have any. Staff appeared fine, overall a good stay.

It's the little things. After a long day getting to NY, would have been nice for a better welcoming attitude by front desk. Room was nice but shower dripped, toilet paper role didn't have that typical post housekeeping service fold, tv remote not working properly. And full amount for 3 nights charged to my American Express within hours of arrival. Really?

Wouldn't recommend staying here if outside temp exceeds 75 degrees. Slept on top of covers for 5 nights it was so hot. Unusual heatwave Memorial Day weekend (92). Not sure if related to it being an historic hotel or not. Other than that, room was clean. Service was good. Great location, near Grand Central.

Decent but it's the first Hilton I've ever seen without a full service restaraunt. Seems and feels a lot more like a Hampton Inn or a Garden Inn than a Hilton. Rooms were small also, but maybe that goes with the territory in NYC

Slightly dated decor. Good hotel for the money. They did ran out of hot water one morning - after a few calls and nothing we can do answer, took a cold shower and went to work anyway. No point doing breakfast there - any caffe around the area will do a better deal for your money.

Overall ok experience. Small rooms, but clean and close to Grand Central Station. Staff all seemed to be preoccupied with their mobile devices. This property was a former residential structure in the Tudor City part of Manhattan, a nice and relatively quiet area near the UN. It has easy access from the FDR and by subway via the station at Grand Central. The rooms are small but efficient but the showers are a bit tricky. Overall, it is a nice place to stay and very convenient to most parts of the city.

The room is nice and clean. I can see the river from the balcony. The location is not perfect for sightseeing. There are some good Japanese nearby. The breakfast is $28 + $4 tip. It is too expensive with the limited selection. Please Do not use the cab in front of the hotel to LGA because they will charge you $55 + $6 toll fee. I wish the hotel would tell me before I took the cab. This is s very bad experience for me.

Breakfast is the only meal they serve and it's overpriced at $28. The little gets in the room only work from one switch on the wall and half the buttons were missing. New Herb &Market concept is very lame. Selections are limited and don't look very appetizing and overpriced. The valet staff was great, they greeted me by name every time. It's a Hilton property but is definitely not up to the usual Hilton standards.

We spent a total of four nights in this hotel (two each at the beginning and end of our visit to USA) which had been recommended to us for its location, and on the whole we were satisfied. The first room we had was on level 7 and was quite smart and well furnished. Decent hotel but very upset when my family and I went to eat at the breakfast buffet. There were no signs or anything to indicate that the buffet was not free. The buffet was set up basically like many other hotels who offer a complimentary buffet. We loaded up our plates and sat down. A waiter came to our table to fill up our coffee/juice at which point he laid our bill down for $104! The buffet was $28/person. The food was a normal hotel breakfast buffet. It wasn't even good. The Hilton Manhattan East is a good hotel in many aspects. The staff is friendly, the rooms are a good size for Manhattan, the location is only a little over a block from Grand Central and the prices are reasonable for the location. The key thing to note is that the building itself is very old and, although it is in great shape and has been updated, the mechanical systems are not the best. The AC struggled to keep up with the temperature this week when temperatures went well past 90 degrees. ... Read more

This Hilton hotel is inbetween 2nd & 3rd Avenues, which makes it very handy for a lot of attractions'. It is also only a short walk of about 4or 5 blocks to Times Square. The one thing I would have liked was room service, but that is being picky as this was a super hotel & I found all the staff very friendly & very willing to help you.

The room was smaller than appeared in photos on website. The pull out bed was stained and disgusting. The location was ok, but I was expecting more high end for the price and the brand. I chose this hotel over others on Time Square expecting better quality. I was wrong.

Super location. Some people have commented on the rooms requiring updating but I disagree. Sure in some respects they aren't ultra modern but this is a 4* hotel in central Manhattan. If you're not planning to be out all the time it is worth upgrading to a suite of Superior, otherwise they are perfectly fine. I've stayed here twice and found it much nice than some of the larger more hustle bustle hotels.

One night on business. Place is clean but very dated - looks like 1980s. Staff were averagely helpful. Breakfast was average. It was all very - well - average! Location was useful which is the main reason for staying.

This hotel didn't quite stack up to my past stays with the Hilton. The room was dark and too warm at night; when I arrived it hadn't been cleaned properly. Our stay was ok but it could have been much better.

We arrived at this hotel and given our keys straight away. We weren't offered help with our bags. Our room was on the 10th floor in a very quiet part of the hotel which absolutely suited us. We didn't have a view at all but again that was ok. Our bed wasn't Queen size as requested but it was comfortable. The staff were very friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel as we wanted to venture out in New York to try new things. Our room was freshly made every day which was nice. We felt the hotel was in ... Read more
