Good size room for the price, comfy bed. No frills hotel close to attractions and subway. Breakfast options round the corner if you do not want to pay $20 for hotel breakfast. Would happily stay again.

We were delighted with our choice of this hotel - The location is great. Lots within walking distance and there is a subway station within 100 metres for further away - Good rooms and bathrooms. As this was a family trip we had a double and a twin. the rooms aren't small by the standards of city centre hotels in Europe. the bathroom had flannels which is great. Our rooms looked out at the Empire State Building. - Friendly staff with good advice - thank you Janis for advice on breakfast and the... Read more

Stayed here for a week, room was nice and clean (although tv wasn't great). It had all your needs such as desk space, complimentary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, ear buds etc), complimentary tea/coffee, iron, safe etc... Corridors aren't great and lounge area isn't amazing but it's in quite a good location and you can also see the Empire State from your room! On a one day business trip in Manhattan and took this hotel for a spin. The hotel is well maintained. The rooms are very nice, clean with good decor. The room I had was upgraded to a two room suite and had lots of space for a new york hotel. The couch and chars were very comfortable as well as the bed. The bathroom had a lot of space. The breakfast service was the standard cook to order option at Garden Inn. The Gym had some treadmills, weights, and elliptical machines. Overall, I was hap... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The location is excellent - central to everything, the rooms are always clean, the breakfast staff is the best and the breakfast buffet is very complete with lots of choices. The front desk staff is always very welcoming and always helpful. I have never encountered a grumpy staff person at this hotel. Everyone seems to love their job which in turn makes your stay even more pleasant. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in NYC.

This hotel has a great location and is easily accessible from many popular tourist spots in NYC. Also, it is directly next to the Empire State Building. From my room on the top floor, I could lay on my bed and see the entirety of it. It was a truly unique experience! The buffet is very nice; it is quiet and a great way to start the morning in loud and busy New York.

Our goal was to spend as little time in our hotel room as possible. We wanted to see as much of the city as we could fit into a long weekend. Hilton Garden Inn was terrific - when we were in the hotel, we were treated kindly, had a lovely room, and when we weren't, all we had to do was walk out the hotel door and we were in the throws of all things NYC - street vendors, shopping, bars, and action, action, action! After long days out, coming back to the hotel was like going home. It was quiet... Read more

Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn again and it was great! Stayed for a week July 18th to 25th. Easy and quick check in and out. It has all of the most important things I look for- a clean and bright room, comfortable hotel bed, great location and fabulous friendly staff- Janis, George and Alex! Felt very safe too as I traveled alone this time. Will go back for sure.

I recently stayed here on a two night weekend in New York to see some shows. The hotel was about a five minute walk from Penn Station, and a 10-15 minute walk to Times Square. Our room was located on the 29th floor. There are only about 8 rooms per floor, and all of them are close to the elevator. I was a bit concerned about the noise from the elevator (which was right behind the head of our beds), but we never heard it at all. Our room was advertised as a city view, and while it was a ... This hotel is in a great location with a short walk to Times Square. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help out. I didn't get a chance to eat in their restaurant, but the rest of the standard Hilton amenities were great! The only thing that you may run into is a long wait for the elevators (depending on what time you come and go). During the morning (around 8:30 - 9:30 am), I sometimes had to wait over 5 minutes for an elevator to arrive at my floor; even then, they sometimes... Read more

Business nearby brought me to this hotel. The three top best things I liked: 1. Service was excellent, with a smile, trained and always trying hard to please. 2. Modern, clean and neat. Elevators run good, A.C. good, facility well maintained. 3. Location. It is in the heart of everything fun. Google map it and you will see it. The three things I did not like so much, but not a big deal: 1. The ice machines did not work. They were all broken. Go down to the restaurant and get it, but I w... Read more

Myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights in July and it was simply perfect. It was centrally located (10 mins walk to Central Park, 5 mins walk to Times Square) - it was ideal for tourists. A typical Hilton Garden hotel. Clean comfortable and convenient. The rooms are so small but I guess that is the same in any major city? The breakfast (which we got free as Hilton silver members) was very comprehensive. We used the restaurant which was off a good standard. One big negative is the lift. We stayed at this Hotel 10/4-10/5 2016. Location was wonderful as were the staff. It's just one street over from the Empire State Building. We had a 2 bed, city view and were pleased with the space we had. We did ask for and promptly receive another luggage rack and if we were staying longer would have needed another. We had four pieces of luggage. This was a stop before our vacation to Scotland. The staff were excellent and responded to our requests. We did get passes for breakfast whic... Read more

Amy, Amena and Ronald were so much fun, so accommodating, so thoughtful.....and they let us play "basketball" at the front desk with them HAHA. Convenient to Penn Station and Times Square. Very friendly and helpful reception. The elevators were fast and efficient even at peak times. My room was small but comfortable and very clean. My view was an office building so don't expect a vista but I did not care. All in all an excellent value for a very convenient location.

It was my first business trip to NYC and this hotel is nice and very convenient to Penn Station, Midtown and Times Square areas. The staff was very friendly and greeted you coming and going from the hotel. Check in was smooth and the staff offers complimentary bottles of water. The rooms were clean and provided ample space. I had a comfortable and relaxing stay here at the Garden Inn.

We had a wonderful stay with an incredible view of the Empire State building. (Note that you have to book well in advance and make a special request so that you are assured of getting an Empire State view.) I am very grateful to Sami and Felix, front desk directors, for making our dream New York stay possible. Also, Tamika at the front desk was wonderfully hospitable, which was such a relief to this tired and jetlagged couple that had just completed an 18 hour flight! My wife was feeling a litt... the most important character of this hotel is its front desk staff. As you walk into the nicely decorated lobby, you are greeted friendly by a collage gregarious, eclectic and cordial front desk staff of Simini, Janis, Amy, Alex, Tameika and George. they are never frustrated and always accommodating and kind. they have a genuine way of making you feel like you a very welcome guest.

This hotel is well located for exploring New York. An entrance to the Herald Square station is at the corner. There are a number of restaurants close by. The standard rooms are a bit smaller than usual for a Hilton property but NYC real estate is expensive. The space is adequate but the closet is on the small side. DH is happy to have an operable window. I do not know if this hotel has rooms with a bathtub. Ours has a nice shower. The front desk staff are extremely helpful. I had troubl... Read more
