Arrived at 3:00 PM (hotel's posted check-in time). Rooms were not ready until 4:35 PM. Had friends in town and an event to go to in DC at 5:00 PM. Hilton Garden Inn was solely responsible for our being late. When I reserved the room, I also called to confirm shuttle service to DC Metro. The hotel shuttle hours had been recently changed, but I was assured it would be available. Posted shuttle hours on Saturday were 7 AM - 11 AM and 3 PM to 7 PM. This hotel is conveniently located between Soho and other local shopping and restaurant areas. The staff was super friendly, and my room was nice and spacious; unlike other hotels that I've stayed at in NY. The had a restaurant and bar attached, which had the best happy hour. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time to New York. We could not fault this hotel, the reception staff were courteous at all times, and they made us feel welcome and wanted as a tourist. Thank you. The rooms were very clean, comfy beds ( terrible pillows I needed 4!) And unusual no complimentary shower gel? Not sure why! The AOA bar and restaurant was very good, and a very welcome beer we enjoyed there after busy days out exploring the city. Subway right next to hotel for easy access. Close to China town and... Very basic hotel. It could really use some updates with fraying carpet at thresholds and scratchy (low quality) sheets. The coffeemaker/Keurig was also really dirty, so run water through it a few times before using it. The night manager, Larissa, always greeted me with a smile when I came into the hotel. I literally upped my rating of the hotel by one star due to her warmth and overall awesomeness. Location is great, especially if you need to use the Holland Tunnel at all. Plenty of places t... It was a pleasure to stay at the Tribeca Hilton Garden Inn. The room was great. The location was perfect. It was a bit pricey, but that's NY for you plus (as we found out later), the Gay Pride Parade and various other events were happening over the weekend which caused the weekend rate to jump up. We stayed here for a weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. The rooms are huge by NYC standards, the staff is really friendly, and the location is great. A subway entrance is right out front of the hotel! We had a room on the 4th floor facing the Avenue of the Americas, and the room had two windows that opened just enough to let the sounds of the city in, and a wide window ledge to sit on and enjoy a drink while watching the city go about it's business.

HGI's don't fall into the posh, 5-star experience class. Rather they provide very clean rooms with good service at a reasonable price. This hotel does that, plus it's location gives it extra value. A metro stop is literally at the door of the hotel. Cabs are easy to get, plus the hotel has a car service. The entire hotel, rooms, hallways, elevators, etc are clean and present well. Restaurant is convenient, pizza is awesome, but on t... Read more

Spacious and clean room, quiet, extremely comfortable bed, great shower, excellent wi-fi, staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. I will definitely choose the Hilton in TriBeCa for my next trip to NYC. Also loved the location. So many destinations and neighborhoods within walking distance.

If you are looking for a hotel with great staff, clean rooms, close to transit, and an overall great experience, look no further. The lobby is always clean and staff always accomadating. The hotel pizza and bar is good and there is plenty of placing in walking distance as well.

I have stayed at quit a few hotels in NYC. I have seen the good the bad and ugly. The Hilton Garden Inn TriBeCa, for me, hits the sweet spot. This is not a 5-Star, all singing, all dancing hotel, but it gives me all I need and does it with good, old-fashioned New York understatement. Good service that never goes over the top. Rooms are quiet and clean. Great selection of places to eat all around. Subway stop near by. If I had to pull out a fault it would be that the bath tub is too shal... Read more

I actually liked the hotel and the location. BUT. I booked through and prepaid everything, taxes included. At our check-in, they asked for credit card and I was stupid to give it. They simply took 200 dollars as 'deposit' and told me I'd have it back. I have called them several times and nothing happens, 1½ months since returned home. I'm contacting of course, just wanted to share the warning. If you prepaid, don't give them your credit card!

Had a wonderful stay at the Hilton garden inn. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. Easy and convenient to get to wherever you wanted to go! Either by a leisurely walk, or a short ride. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the TriBeCa area!!

I paid $350 per night for a hotel that was hardly what u call a Hilton! Paper cups in the bathroom. No service apart from the reception desk. The staff at the front desk was pleasant enough but the room rate was a complete rip off. Old musty rooms. Will never stay there again.

Conveniently located. Retaurant on site. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about navigating NYC. Rooms were clean, but the bed was not terribly comfortable. However, this would not keep me from returning. Great value for this section of New York.

Great clean Hilton Garden Inn..exactly as you would expect...not many frills but all good. Close to subways and walking distance from lots of sites. Decent restaurant in the lobby...AoA. Only downside was that the pillows were aweful...flat and not comfortable. Ashamed because everything else was great.

Excellent location. However, expect coffee makers not to work and housekeeping staff to repeatedly bang on your door loudly despite the DO NOT DISTURB sign hanging outside the door. My wife and I found this irritating and we were disturbed EVERY 15 MINUTES !! Otherwise, check in great, room cleanliness great, other staff (not housekeepers) warm and friendly. Think twice about staying here.

The hotel is really well located if you are working or visiting downtown Manhattan. It's generally clean and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I arrived and having checked in using the app, my room wasn't ready so I was put into one that was. The room was OK, clean and reasonably well equipped. WiFi worked perfectly, everything in the room worked, it was quiet at night and whilst I didn't have dinner in the restaurant, I did have breakfast and that was really good. Would definitely s... We were in town for my brother's wedding, with many of the celebrationss taking place in the Soho area. We chose the Hilton Garden Inn,Tribeca as it seemed to offer the best value. Not cheap - this is New York after all, but reasonably priced for the location. The hotel is located near others in the area such as the James, the Soho Grand amd the Roxy and is also very close to Broadway for shopping. There is a subway entrance directly outside the hotel so it's really easy to get around. Plenty ... Read more

We stayed here me and my girlfriend for Xmas eve and Xmas day in new York city and it was great, they were accommodating and didn't take any deposit for the room I don't believe. I enjoyed it a lot and so did she. The room overlooked the street and on Xmas morning there was almost NO traffic which was very interesting and relaxing.

we spent one night at the hilton tribeca and were happy with our stay. lovely staff at reception, a large room, and a great location for wandering in the village. my only grouse is that we had a dark room without enough natural light and to make matters worse, when darkness fell the lights in the room were way too dim. that said, the room was good value for money and, being a hilton, a certain level of quality was assured. i didn't like the breakfast in the restaurant adjoining the hotel (no fre... Don't stay here if you want decent internet connectivity. I clocked in at 0.48mbps down and .18 up. And that was with "premium" service (extra charge). Many websites loaded very slowly so it was not a single point in time that I had low bandwidth. I raised with manager onsite and with central Hilton help. Apparently property checked with provider, which said all was normal. So either "normal" is awful or Hilton does not believe customer reports. Not sure which is worse. I believe that I exper... I've stayed here several times this year, always booked through an agent. I like it because it's usually good value price-wise and I like the location - in TriBeCa and next to the subway. Lots of nice restaurants and shops in walking distance. This time, I thought the room was looking a little tatty - faded decorations and dirty net curtains to the window. Very clean overall (in terms of hygiene) but the bed linen, in particular, was fairly frayed and threadbare. Time to invest and maintain this... Read more

We wanted to be away from Midtown, Times Square etc. - and liked it here very much!! Okay, start at the hotel was a little rough as the room we first were given, looked out on a dark back yard. :-( We kindly asked if there was another room to get and finally here it was: room 612 on the top floor with fantastic view! We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location is very convenient. The room was very clean and fairly roomy by Manhattan standards. It was also very quiet? What really set this hotel apart was the staff. We cannot say enough good things about how gracious and accommodating all of the staff at this hotel were. We will be returning and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit NYC.

Horribly stiff bed. Noisy vents in room, buzzing electrical noises in room. Rude staff and that seems irritated to help you. The restaurant/room service food was surprising good however. The room was clean, so was the lobby.Great location overall, but not very comfortable.

Far too noisy both within the hotel and outside. A 4 am dumpster was too much and everyday! The price ought to reflect this and it does not. An important aspect of a hotel is how well you sleep but at this one it was impossible with noises throughout the night.

We couldn't believe what a great location this Hilton Garden Inn is in....just a few turns out of the Holland tunnel and we were there! Pleasant stay in a nice area of the city. Quirky shops and restaurants are a 10 to 15 minute walk away, as is Little Italy. Hotel room was surprisingly big for NYC. I came to this part of NYC for relaxation and a bit of shopping. The Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca was in the perfect area for me.
