Great location. Friendly service. Clean Rooms. The hotel restaurant does not serve dinner, but you can order room service from a local restaurant 24 hours a day. It was my first time visiting NYC and was aware of how pricey a hotel can be but this one was quite moderate comparing to others in the same area at the time of my booking. This is certainly not the best Hilton I've stayed in, but given that it's New York, I guess you get what you pay for. The room was small and basic, with no safe - however they have safety deposit boxes available at reception. The aircon was super super noisy and in fact I had to turn it off at nights as it kept waking me up when it kicked in. Come here it is great, its near a subway for easy traval and the price isn't too bad. It is in the middle of downtown so going south or north isn't too bad and very easy to figure out where to go or just to get lost.

Love location of the hotel as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel has a washer and dryer so that helped since I stayed there for quite a bit. The gym is also fantastic and the staff are great!!!

This hotel is a rather standard Hilton Garden Inn -- probably renovated many times under different names. It is on 28th St between 6th and 7th avenues. There is a subway stop at 28th and 7th and this is convenient. It is about 6 blocks south of Penn Station. The street is lined with flower shops. We were very happy with our room and stay. The room was clean, and everything worked as it was supposed to. The only thing that annoyed us was lack of notification about the valet wait until we were ready to pick up the car. At that point, we were told that it would take 20-30 min. Staff was great. Recommended a local Steak Restaurant which was spot on. Clean facility. Nice room! Stayed close to the train station and was not sure if that was a good choice. Disappointed in this Hilton product...Old and worn... Bed was uncomfortable, wall paper peeling, ceiling in bath room was peeling, window shade was broken, carpet has dust in the corners, the list goes on. The two stars go to the friendly staff. There are much better Hilton choices in the city.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a wonderful place to stay when visiting NYC for any reason. Breakfast was very nice, room was very comfortable, street noise minimal, flowers were abundant in shops in Flower District. Hotel is easy walk from Penn Station and close to subways. Staying on Hilton points, we found this hotel to be reasonable compared to our original location in Secausus, NJ. Allowed us to stay only four blocks from Penn Station, fifteen minutes walking to the Jacob Javitts Convention Center, and less than a half block to the subway. The hotel is located in an awesome spot in the flower district. There are two different subway stops within an easy walking distance either direction. The staff was overly friendly and helpful. The only reason I did t give it five stars is the bed in our room was uncomfortable and needs to be replaced.

Great location, convenient to Broadway, Times Square, and only one block to the metro subway. There are many coffee, fashion, design shops, and next door there are a couple nurseries with plants and flowers on your wall to the sights.

I love staying at Hilton Garden Inns because I am confident they will hold true to certain qualities and comfort. While the lobby and staff were up to par, the room was outdated, especially the bedding. Underneath the duvet cover was dried blood and stains. The hotel is clean and very convenient to a lot of the sites. It is in the flower district so you have to pass through a lot of plants and flowers in this very busy part of town every day. There is construction going on, on that street ‚?¶but there is always construction going on in NTC. My only negative is that the staff isn‚??t very attentive at the check-in time. The hotel is conveniently located less than a block from FIT. The flower shops on 28th street make it fun and interesting when walking to and from the hotel. Subway stop is less than a block from the hotel. Great value for a Manhattan hotel. Having a fridge and microwave in the room is a plus but the room is small with two queen beds. Very quiet location and we slept well without hearing noise from the street.

From the moment I walked through the doors there was nothing but smiles. As an employee for the Hilton brand for many years this property was by far my favorite. Clean, outstanding and WONDERFUL ! I've read the reviews on this hotel before I booked it. Yes, the hotel is in a decent location of Manhattan. Located between 6th and 7th avenue on 28th street, you're about 10 blocks from Times Square or you can hop on the train which is right down the street. We stayed at this hotel over the 4th of July weekend. The price of the hotel was relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. The staff was friendly and accommodations were just as expected. We were able to pick out our room in advance with digital check-in so we were able to get a high floor.

Staff was friendly, personable, wonderful and their attitude did a lot to overcome the typical challenges faced by NY hotels and hotel guests (old and small buildings with poor plumbing). Very little water pressure and tiny rooms--but comfortable. My room was not clear and makeup stains abounded on 3 of my 4 pillow cases (a little more bleach needed). Restaurant options are typical Americana fare and "OK". As I indicated--a solid (not good or bad) choice at a moderate rate.

The hotel was modern and the rooms were good but the bedding was old and needed replacing. The mattress topper should have been thrown out. Both my husband and I travel for work and it was quite uncomfortable. The staff was good, the breakfast pricey.

This hotel is in the middle of the flowere market, what a great way to start the day surrounded by flowers. This was a short 4 day vacation in NYC. My girlfriend picked the hotel which is much more than I can afford so this was a major splurge but worth every penny. For this price range you won't get bigger rooms in Manhattan. The room was boutique size with boutique service and all the amenities of a big brand. Conveniently located walking distance from Penn Station and a short cab ride most everywhere else. Plus a charming location in the Chelsea Flower District.

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. It was centrally located, near subway station, therefore convenient to both uptown & lower Manhattan. I really appreciated how this hotel had a bellman, which many other Hilton Garden Inns do not have.For once we did not have to drag all our luggage out of cars & up steps by ourselves. He even hailed cabs for us. The desk staff was very courteous & you cannot beat the price. Way to go, HGI Chelsea!

Was walking distance to a lot of stuff, but not overrun with tourists. Being near the flower district worked out really well too. The doorman is probably the most helpful person I've ever met, and he was fantastic. Would return, just to talk to him again. People at front desk were pleasant.

NYC is hands down my favorite city and I'm always on the look out for a good place to stay that is away from Times Square and midtown. This spot is near train stops and the High Line, which is perfect! I love that it is located on a street that has whole plants which just gives it a nice place to walk through. Also the room size was nice & spacious, which is a huge bonus in a city where they pack you in.

This Hilton Garden Inn is located on West 28th Street approximately 3 blocks from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. The room was on the smallish size (which is common in NYC) but was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was long wait times for the 2 elevators.

HGI Chelsea is a hidden gem in Manhattan. An aging property with a delightful staff. Convenient to everything. it was convenient for us to deal with a family apartment. What a tempting neighborhood. Flowers everywhere. Unfortunately, we did not have room for anything in the car going home. Since it is small, according to NYC standards, all rooms are close to the elevator. Water was welcome. Has valet parking so you don't have to trudge around corner with luggage.

This is a good choice in terms of value for money. Rooms are okay, although if you plan to put 4 people in a double room you might find it too crowded. Location is good, very close to subway station. The surroundings are not the most beautiful in the city, but hey, what are those in this concrete jungle? Overall, good option if you plan to do a lot of city sight seeing and just need your all american room to sleep in.

Hotel is great and in perfect location. Can walk to many NYC sights and shopping with great restaurants nearby. Also, the location is somewhat quiet so out of the busyness of other areas. Hotel staff have always been accommodating and their breakfast buffet is one of the best. Well worth the money to get a good start in the morning. Almost don't need lunch.

Considering the price, I think this is a good value for Chelsea in NYC. The staff is very pleasant. Rooms are small, but beds are comfortable. Breakfast buffet is very acceptable. We always love this hotel as it is clean, big for Manhattan, and reasonably priced for NYC!! It is centrally located for us and there is a local subway stop right around the corner. Not great value at $650/nt! The location is good, but a very basic hotel and this price simply does not warrant it. The hotel was recommended by a colleague as "reasonable" but it certainly wasn't. And the service or amenities were not at all out of this world (as one would expect for a $650/nt hotel). Very disappointing.

It's okay - internet doesn't work properly and the hotel room had an odor that didn't seem to go away. The location is good and the rate was somewhat reasonable for a hotel in that particular area. Easy walking distance to shopping & restaurants. The road was under construction making access to the hotel a little hard to get to and it's also on a one way street so you need to go up 28th to get to 29th.

this is a well located hotel close to penn station and subway stations. Rooms are small but clean However the wifi is horrible We have a company relationship with Hilton. I am a silver member on my way to gold When I said the wifi was bad I was told - sorry that is just how it is. Try and get the cheapest rate. This is the only way I would reccomend. Not worth paying more than $150. or thereabouts. Room was not bad-small but plenty of hot water on the 6th floor. Front desk staff was very nice and attentive. Tiny lobby but the idea here is to get out and visit the mid-city.

We stayed here for two nights. The location is perfect, staff friendly and efficient. The rooms are small, but big enough, the bathroom is a challenge, and two people don‚??t fit in there at the same time. The beds are not in great shape anymore. Great location with a modern lobby and helpful staff. The subway is at gth end of the block and Penn Station is 4 easy block away. Breakfast is very good and Lisa and Tammy who are table servers are the BEST! They are so friendly and kind and make being away from home better. I stay here alot when I travel and recommend it. The only draw back is that the doors slam heavily when they shut and that echoes in the hall and wakes me up.

This hotel offers what you come to expect from this brand. The size of the hotel is not overwhelming and the service is personal. The restaurant is great for breakfast. The location is excellent. A short walk from Penn Station which means the property is easily accessible from JFK via the Long Island RR. The N, R and 1 trains are also a short walk away. There is a Walgreens on the corner of 28th and 7th ave and plenty of pub food on 7th avenue as well.

4 girls touring NYC, this hotel was perfect, very clean, staff was very helpful and the room was a decent size. It was close to the subway so we had quick access to everything. It was nice to get away from the crazy action at Times Square and get to our hotel within minutes.

My daughter swam at an NYU invite this weekend. It was about 15 blocks of walking, 14 down Broadway. Many restaurants and stores can be reached by walking or subway if you prefer to save your legs. You can access 6th Ave/Avenue of the Americas about a half block away. If you go north you can have a nice view of the Empire State Building. The location of this hotel is very good. Line 1 is literally less than 1 (red) block and Line N (yellow) is one block away. Easy to get to Times Square quick. There is a Starbucks on 27 & 6th very close by (for all you coffee lovers). Hotel amenities are your normal Hilton Garden Inn... I little more for typical breakfast. I little less space for the typical room size (It's NYC after all). Keep in mind this is not a very tall hotel. The view is not that great.

Had to stay here last minute. The rate was affordable on hotels tonight. There's nothing really wrong with this place, I'd say it's just blah in general. I would definitely go elsewhere if you can find a rate that beats theirs. The gal at the front desk was nice. The room is a decent size for NY and clean, but the furnishings, linens, carpets and bathroom all need updating. I wouldn't stay here again, there are so many other gems in NYC, but the price was right last night.

This hotel is in the floral district flanked by eateries, theater and close to 5th Ave. It's a direct immersion into a fantastic city. The staff are affable and efficient as is the valet service which allows for a seamless transition from car to hotel both arriving and departing. The breakfast was fresh and convenient on a busy morning. A walk outside and you are in the middle of it all. Highly recommend.

This is the second time I've stayed at this particular location and I can't recommend it enough. The staff is incredibly helpful and the location of the hotel is very convenient. It is only a block or two away from Madison Square Garden/Penn Station and about a 15-20 minute walk to the Empire State Building and Times Square areas.

My husband and I decided to attend an event at Madison Square Garden last minute. We were able to get a good rate. There was a mix up at check in but the hotel went above and beyond to make it right. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the hotel breakfast. We will keep this hotel in mind for future visits.

Stayed here for one night for a business event in Times Square. The location of this hotel was convenient to meeting friends and getting to my event via the metro. Room was basic and clean. Staff friendly. Shower dated. Size reasonable for NYC.

Brought my son and daughter in law for a four day weekend to see the sights of New York wonderful time , the night desk staff was absolutly wonderful. The king size bed that we paid extra for was worn out and needed to be replaced but that was probably the only real fault with this hotel

This hotel was located in a great part of manhattan. It was very clean with friendly staff. Price was good compared to other hotels in same area. No safe in room but has refrigerator and microwave. Hotel bar is closed saturday and sunday. Walking distance to madison square garden

Hilton service but not Hilton price. Big room, comfy bed, free Wi Fi, big screen TV, small fridge, coffee maker, amazing desk chair, personal heating/cooling (bit noisy), a great room. Add the location, gym, and the amazing service and this is a great place to stay in NYC. Do suggest a rear room as the Flower District is noisy. When the weather is warm, you walk out of the hotel and the smell of flowers and plants makes you wonder if you are in NYC.

We usually stay 4 blocks away at the Hampton Inn Manhattan Chelsea, but they were full, so we decided to try this hotel (in the same family) instead. The staff were very welcoming, and as we were leaving one of them spontaneously asked if we needed a cab! Spacious rooms and large bathroom compared to another NYC hotel I stayed at. Excellent service clean rooms! Last year I stayed at the Royalton and the bathroom felt like an airplane bathroom with no counter space. The Hilton Garden had a bathroom as large as home.

Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay in this hotel. I had emailed the hotel prior to my arrival about their policy on security deposit as I don't have any credit card and they accepted a payment of $100 cash without any trouble. The good: The room was clean, and the room was not terribly small. The location is good of you want to be in a more quiet area. There's a subway station at the corner (stops for only train 1). When we got to the room we noticed the toilet was clogged. A very nice maintenance employee went quickly to the room and he fixed it immediately. This hotel is snuggled in the florist wholesale area and an easy walk to anywhere. The room had it all; microwave, fridge, comfy bed, and overall, a clean and quiet room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Might become my favorite stay in NYC.

Excellent location, very close to subway access. The hotel was nothing special, but we got an excellent rate through Hotel Tonight. Rooms were dated, but clean. Pillows were comfortable. We'd stay here again if we got the same rate.
