Great location. Friendly service. Clean Rooms. The hotel restaurant does not serve dinner, but you can order room service from a local restaurant 24 hours a day. It's great and a wonderful convenience when you work late and don't feel like going out. I want to give special thanks to Mikhail, the bellman, who insisted on taking my bag to the corner so I could get a taxi, even after I admitted I didn't have any cash for a tip. So incredibly kind -- like everyone at the hotel. The hotel has g... Read more

Loved the hotel, staff, location and quietness that this hotel provided. I can always count on HGI whenever or wherever I travel. I was walking distance from Times Square, GMA, 5th Ave. and one train ride away from the East Village.

We were visiting New York for 10 days to see the sights. This hotel was moderately priced (for NYC) and in a good location, convenient to retaurants, galleries and near several subway lines. Very clean and comfortable rooms.

It was my first time visiting NYC and was aware of how pricey a hotel can be but this one was quite moderate comparing to others in the same area at the time of my booking. Checking in was efficient, got the room on 19th floor at the back of the building which was quiet until the ice cubes machine in front of my room started making noise from the sound of ice cubes dropping and the machine itself, luckily it was not constant. Room size was decent, coffee machine and refrigerator for your conven... Read more

This is certainly not the best Hilton I've stayed in, but given that it's New York, I guess you get what you pay for. The room was small and basic, with no safe - however they have safety deposit boxes available at reception. The aircon was super super noisy and in fact I had to turn it off at nights as it kept waking me up when it kicked in. The bed was not comfortable and only found out on checkout when I made a comment that the bed was a sleep number and it could be adjusted (something tha... Read more

Come here it is great, its near a subway for easy traval and the price isn't too bad. It is in the middle of downtown so going south or north isn't too bad and very easy to figure out where to go or just to get lost.

Love location of the hotel as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel has a washer and dryer so that helped since I stayed there for quite a bit. The gym is also fantastic and the staff are great!!!

This hotel is a rather standard Hilton Garden Inn -- probably renovated many times under different names. It is on 28th St between 6th and 7th avenues. There is a subway stop at 28th and 7th and this is convenient. It is about 6 blocks south of Penn Station. The street is lined with flower shops. There seem to be a few other similar hotels on the same block. I am in the hotel now -- and it is pretty quiet. The hotel staff seem helpful. They do serve breakfast in the lobby for about 12$.... We were very happy with our room and stay. The room was clean, and everything worked as it was supposed to. The only thing that annoyed us was lack of notification about the valet wait until we were ready to pick up the car. At that point, we were told that it would take 20-30 min. Why weren't we told this when requesting the service. I voiced our annoyance to the hotel manager, who said he'd share it with the front desk staff. In addition, he promised to credit me with half of the valet charg... Read more

Staff was great. Recommended a local Steak Restaurant which was spot on. Clean facility. Nice room! Stayed close to the train station and was not sure if that was a good choice. It turned out to be a great choice. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent Chef on staff to create fresh omelettes any way you wanted.

Disappointed in this Hilton product...Old and worn... Bed was uncomfortable, wall paper peeling, ceiling in bath room was peeling, window shade was broken, carpet has dust in the corners, the list goes on. The two stars go to the friendly staff. There are much better Hilton choices in the city.

This hotel was great for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens). Great location in an area of the city we had never explored before but easy access to anywhere. We stayed on the 24th floor with a nice view of the city!

The Hilton Garden Inn is a wonderful place to stay when visiting NYC for any reason. Breakfast was very nice, room was very comfortable, street noise minimal, flowers were abundant in shops in Flower District. Hotel is easy walk from Penn Station and close to subways. We have stayed here many times and enjoy it every time.

Staying on Hilton points, we found this hotel to be reasonable compared to our original location in Secausus, NJ. Allowed us to stay only four blocks from Penn Station, fifteen minutes walking to the Jacob Javitts Convention Center, and less than a half block to the subway. Originally, we would have spent too much time in commuting each day to get to our convention. Location allowed us to enjoy more of the city! Hotel was Hilton clean, not your regular cookie cutter HGI, as there was no pool. B... Read more

The hotel is located in an awesome spot in the flower district. There are two different subway stops within an easy walking distance either direction. The staff was overly friendly and helpful. The only reason I did t give it five stars is the bed in our room was uncomfortable and needs to be replaced.

Great location, convenient to Broadway, Times Square, and only one block to the metro subway. There are many coffee, fashion, design shops, and next door there are a couple nurseries with plants and flowers on your wall to the sights.

Very centrally located hotel (walking distanxe from Herald Square, Trader Joe's, Burlington etc). Very friendly and efficient staff. For a New York hotel, the rooms were a nice size. The hotel was not very noisy at all. I would stay here again.

I love staying at Hilton Garden Inns because I am confident they will hold true to certain qualities and comfort. While the lobby and staff were up to par, the room was outdated, especially the bedding. Underneath the duvet cover was dried blood and stains. We removed the bedding and noticed the matresses were old, stained, and stressed. The staff was quick to replace bedding but it too had dated sheets. In NYC hotel rooms tend to be small and while I was okay with that, the rooms need to have n... Read more

The hotel is clean and very convenient to a lot of the sites. It is in the flower district so you have to pass through a lot of plants and flowers in this very busy part of town every day. There is construction going on, on that street ‚?¶but there is always construction going on in NTC. My only negative is that the staff isn‚??t very attentive at the check-in time. Even when you get back to the hotel after being out all day they don‚??t say ‚??Good Morning, Good Afternoon or even Hello‚??

The hotel is conveniently located less than a block from FIT. The flower shops on 28th street make it fun and interesting when walking to and from the hotel. Subway stop is less than a block from the hotel. Great value for a Manhattan hotel. Having a fridge and microwave in the room is a plus but the room is small with two queen beds. Very quiet location and we slept well without hearing noise from the street.

From the moment I walked through the doors there was nothing but smiles. As an employee for the Hilton brand for many years this property was by far my favorite. Clean, outstanding and WONDERFUL ! From perfect location to great breakfast I recommended this hotel. The staff was great, from Odie, Khelani and the bell man that works 7-3 M-F and also the young lady in breakfast with blonde hair, they made my day. Wish I can bring to my property here in South Carolina :) Thank You for making my vis... Read more

I've read the reviews on this hotel before I booked it. Yes, the hotel is in a decent location of Manhattan. Located between 6th and 7th avenue on 28th street, you're about 10 blocks from Times Square or you can hop on the train which is right down the street. Other than that, there is nothing to recommend about this hotel. Like most things in New York, it's in a busy location/area. There are only two elevators to service a building that has 24 floors, so good luck trying to get in/off during bu... Read more

All in all a good hotel, the fifth star reserved because I found it a bit spartan and small. But no complaints of substance and for a night or two it is more than good. Try to get a higher floor for the street noise.

We stayed at this hotel over the 4th of July weekend. The price of the hotel was relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. The staff was friendly and accommodations were just as expected. We were able to pick out our room in advance with digital check-in so we were able to get a high floor.

Staff was friendly, personable, wonderful and their attitude did a lot to overcome the typical challenges faced by NY hotels and hotel guests (old and small buildings with poor plumbing). Very little water pressure and tiny rooms--but comfortable. My room was not clear and makeup stains abounded on 3 of my 4 pillow cases (a little more bleach needed). Restaurant options are typical Americana fare and "OK". As I indicated--a solid (not good or bad) choice at a moderate rate.

Great Staff, good breakfast and good location close to subways, the Square Garden and other times square area attractions. The hotel is tucked below 7th avenue, which reduces the noise from the constant sirens from police, fire and emergency vehicles.
