Needed to be in Jersey City and Tribeca so the location was perfect. Staff were very helpful, brought packages to my room (came every day) and made sure all amenities were replaced daily. Price was even adjusted lower during my stay, nice surprise at checkout.

All was good. Upon check in, we received a very warm welcome. Room was above average with the exception of a loud screeching noise when using the faucet in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and free wifi was appreciated. Close to Starbucks too for a much needed cup of morning coffee.

We spent 9 days here for our anniversary and based our booking on price and location. Prices start to go up for Spring and this hotel was about $1000US less than most others in the same category. Location is great! Close to all the shops in Soho, good bakery, Mexican, burgers etc just around the corner. Walking distance to good coffee(Happy Bones.....Aussies are fussy about coffee). I usually expect that most Hampton Inns provide the same level of services and rooms. However, I was wrong based on this establishment. The rooms were tiny and the furnishings old and worn. The AC was very noisy, especially in such small surroundings. The bathroom had no storage for personal items but otherwise was nicely appointed. We had a bargain rate - under $200/night which is a "bargain" for NYC in general and for this part of Manhattan. However, as compared with other Hampton Inn stays... Read more

The hotel itself is fine. The 100% guarantee was not held up completely. The rooms are fine, clean, the staff is OK. The breakfast is a real advantage, especially in NYC. Had an issue which was not the end of the world. They responded with some recognition of the situation but did not appear to be forthcoming. Also, they were able to store luggage as needed upon checkout, or if you arrive before your room is ready. Location is great ! Bring ear plugs.

This hotel is very accommodating; it is a hidden treasure in NYC if you like the downtown. It is a bit noisy with tunnel traffic unless you have a room on the uptown side. But Hey! that is the beat of the city. Staff is lovely and the complimentary breakfast is good. It is near many subway trains

Some friends and I stayed here in March for a Birthday getaway. The rooms were small for 3 people, but that is what you expect from a NYC hotel...and we weren't in the room very often. The hotel is just a few blocks from the subway which can take you uptown and a nice walk to the Lower East Side, Chinatown, Little Italy. The staff was friendly for the most part, but never really went out of their way...a few seemed more interested in their phones. Traffic to get into the tunnel can back up durin... Read more

Early checkin with great large room started me off. Their breakfasts are the best of any Hampton Inn. The staff was friendly and knew my name after the first day and they knew the neighborhood and directed me to wherever I needed to be. One extra touch that really moved me was when I bought flowers early in the day to bring to my dinner hosts in the evening. The hotel was pretty good. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and the price, while not cheap, was competitive for downtown NYC. A few negative points: even on the 8th floor at the back of the hotel, there was still a lot of traffic noise from Watts St (entrance to Holland Tunnel) going on late into the night: bouts of heavy horn use etc. The free breakfast left a lot to be desired, to my taste: low quality ingredients, too much sugar and bad fats, and not much choice; eventua... The best of the hotel is its location because it is a few minutes from the heart of SOHO and one block from the subway station (line A) to the JFK airport. However the neighborhood is quiet, but a problem is that it is near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel and that sometimes causes traffic jam. The Hotel is average and have coffe and tea for free for the guests 24hs. Avoid the rooms that localize at floors where are ice machines (8 and 12) these are very noisy.

It is a nice hotel with a great location, but unfortunately it is right on 6th Avenue and Watts where starting around 3 in the afternoon the cars start to line up for the Holland Tunnel. And the noise from the traffic continues to be quite loud until well after mid-night. So you do not want a room on the Watts St side, and certainly not a lower floor room.

I was on the 17th floor so that helped a little although the congestion leading into the Holland Tunnel could be bothersome at times. The staff were all very helpful and the include... Read more

Small lobby, hotel had off site parking 2 blocks away for $45 a day. had a king size bed but room was very small with no frig. Okay place to sleep and close to shopping in SOHO, Little Italy, China Town and short cab ride to WTC memorial. Lower floor where gym was located had a strong oder of mold coming from hotel laundry. Staff was very friendly and help me figure out Uber.

This is a great hotel. Great SOHO location (close to subway for quick access to all of Manhatten, walk to Little Italy, Houston St restaurants, shopping, wine shop across the street...). Clean and modern rooms (small, but expected for NYC). Nice rooftop patio, we enjoyed a bottle of wine one night wihile enjoying the great view. We plan to stay here again.

We booked two rooms and by booking asked for early check in. We were flying from Denver during night and came to NY early in the morning. We reached hotel at around noon. There was a problem leaving our luggage at hotel lady manager was very unhelpful. Finally, we managed to leave luggage in Bar It seems to me unattended and went for a walk and lunch. There was no place in hotel to sit and have a drink. We were promised to get rooms by 3 pm. We came back at 2:45, and waited for almost two hours.... Read more

This hotel is a good starting point if you want to explore Manhattan from South to North and West to East. The rooms were clean. Breakfast is very American. The rooms are o.k.; bathroom clean. the room can be noise as the windows are not well isolated. For Manhattan trips for leasure Soho is good as key highlights of the citiy are easy to reach, e.g. Wall street, FreedomTower Little Italy .

The lady that is in charge of the breakfast area is very good. She manages to handle lots of people and requests, and keeps the area clean and fully stocked. The hotel is close to two subway stops - Canal St and Spring St. A few blocks east there are great designer shops in the heart of SoHo

The facility is tiny and outdated. The rooms are not typical Hampton Inn rooms. The design is strange with metal doors that look as if they belong on a ship more than a hotel. The fitness room is isolated in the basement of the building, which is also where the ice and vending machines are. Sketchy looking. The rooms are small and poorly designed in terms of use of space (and decor, for that matter). I am a faithful Hampton Inn customer, but will likely choose a different hotel when in the... Read more

It's more like a typical Manhattan hotel than a Hampton Inn except for the breakfast and the very friendly and helpful staff, which are a big plus. The rooms are small and there is no counter space in the bathroom for toiletries. The neighborhood has a lot of good restaurants at many price points and it is walking distance to the 911 memorial.

I've stayed in this hotel before and thought it offered good value for money. However on this trip, I was offered room 1807, with two double beds and a skyline view. The furniture was old, outdated, and damaged. The mattress was soft and lumpy and I woke up with lower back pain.

The Hampton Inn is in a good location just a short walk from a few subway stations, main SoHo shopping hub and many great restaurants. Each staff member we spoke to was very friendly and happy to help us in any way. The buffet breakfast had quite a variety which was great and something slightly different everyday. We stayed in a King bed room, bed was very comfy, room was small but cosy, we managed, bathroom was quite spacious though which is great, especially the shower, though it would of been... Read more

You can do much better for the same price in lower Manhattan. Tired rooms. Noisy. No view. Slow elevators. Not very clean. Staff disappoints. I reserved a room online and upon 6pm arrival was assigned another room because "the other guest was staying longer." Look elsewhere.

My spouse and I stayed at the Hampton Inn Manhattan - SoHo on a Saturday evening in late September 2016. We stayed at this hotel one night previously in December 2012 (see our separate review). We reserved our room online using the Hilton website. Hilton sent us an email the day before our stay telling us that we could check in electronically, so we selected our accommodation from a group of available rooms. When we arrived at the hotel, we did not need to provide our credit card for incidental ... Read more

Adequate room that was reasonably quite for Manhatten. The lobby is small and unattractive with limited seating. We stayed for three nights. On Saturday morning the breakfast room was quite crowded with people waiting at various food stations. Close to Canal St subway stop. But vehicular traffic is near impossible during evening rush hour.

Good serviceable hotel. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. OK breakfast. Good location. 30 minute walk to Tribeca, East Village, Chelsea. Rooms on Watt St can be noisy since it is a main route to the Holland Tunnel. The 19th floor has three rooms, each having it's own private balcony with an incredible view of uptown. We were lucky enough to be upgraded because of our Hilton Honors status. Avoind rooms on the Watts St side, since it can be noisy with Holland Tunnel traffic.

This Hampton Inn met all of our needs. There is so much within walking distance (Little Italy, West Village, China Town) and there are two subway lines just minutes away. There is a lot of traffic in the evenings because of the Holland Tunnel but being on the north side of the building my wife and I didn't notice any noise --- and we had a good view of the Empire State Building. Hampton Inns are a solid choice for mid level travelers. This particular location could benefit from some renovation but is clean and the staff are very helpful. Carpet a little worn, bed/linens are great. Rooms are small (this is NYC after all) but adequate. Complementary coffee maker in the room is a nice feature. Bar just off the lobby is another nice feature...each time we were in there, we enjoyed meeting others who were staying at the hotel, exchanging travel tips, and tapping the local kn... Read more

You would think with a Hilton you would be getting quite a deal. I arrived to find out parking is 4 blocks away, $50 a day, and you can't take your car out or your double billed. No fridge and TV was super saturated, made it tough to watch. The elevator buttons were amusing to watch as the guests repeatedly hit the elevator buttons to make them finally light up and work. Lastly the breakfast was pretty sad. They had eggs and bacon, but they were tough and cold, they don't heat up the metal cha... Read more

Really nice room with lots of amenities. Terrific continental breakfast with tons of choices and nice, airy room to eat in with plenty of seats. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Only downside is the noise level as the hotel is near the Holland Tunnel. I had trouble sleeping which rarely happens even in other NYC hotels. I was on the 9th floor but on the street side, perhaps room at the back are quieter

The Hampton inn in soho is in a great location. Easy to walk to several subway stations, shops in soho, and canal street. We had a great view from our room on the 16th floor. Nia at the front desk was lovely. She booked us a car to the airport as we left (flat $50 plus tip in a new suburban with nice driver, much better than a taxi). This hotel is fine, the key for us was its location and free breakfast. Flying to Newark, it affords a great lo0cation just out of the Holland Tunnel so a shorter journey and cheaper taxi. The hotel reception and bar is great and the breakfast is fine and sets you up for the day, saving lots of money in the process.
