This Stay at this Hampton was very SPECIAL even before my arrival because the Manager was very knowledgeable and was able to help me with my request in preparing for my stay. I have visited Manhattan for many years and I always stay at the Hilton Chains and have always had a positive experience --- but this one was very special.

The hotel room had no air conditioning. The Front Desk explained that it wasn't working throughout the entire building because the A/C system was deactivated so the heat could work. This was mid-May, with temps above 80F. I suggest avoiding this hotel unless you go in the winter or summer when they have the correct system working.

We stayed here two nights. Chose this hotel because we appreciate Hampton's quality/value and because of its location in lower Manhattan. We were there to take in some Brooklyn attractions and the 9/11 Memorial. This Hampton was the ticket. The Seaport area is being revitalized and we found some wonderful restaurants and markets close by. Great weekend with friends.

I loved it because it wasn't in the normal congested area. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and beds were so comfortable. My friend wanted to buy the pillows. Lol. The area is near shops and very good restaurants. Near water tours and the pier.Within walking distance to Wall St. I will stay there again. Special shout out to Donna, who took care of us from beginning to end. They even hailed a taxi for us to the airport. Room was small but comfortable.

We stayed for a few nights in order to experience the city. The hotel is close to subway (City Hall) stops and the Brooklyn Bridge. Overall, the staff was accommodating and able to provide guidance about transportation and places of interest. The rooms were a bit small considering luggage with two adults and two kids. The breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn fare--a bit crowded with other guests in the morning. Our room had a great view of Freedom Tower. Parking was available off-site acros... Read more

This Hampton Inn is tucked away on a nice side street in the Seaport Financial District of Manhattan. It's next door to a pre-school, across the street from a residence, and the block is quiet. It's great walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, Ground Zero, and they have a plaza, that's the historic district that is five minutes walk from this hotel. The only reason I did not give this a five star rating is because two of the pictures on their website are inaccurate for the exact ... Read more

My air conditioning was very loud and sounded like spilling water. I reported the issue twice and received no solution to the problem. Every time I went down to the front desk, I had to wait at least 7 minutes before someone finally came out of the back room. They need a bell or something if they are going to constantly sit in the office. Also, the bathroom did not seem to be cleaned daily and my toilet paper was never refilled.

I was a little worried about the location, but it turned out to be wonderful - it is just a couple of blocks from chinatown and the brooklyn bridge and it took only 20 minutes to walk to the Statue of Liberty ferry. In the summer, there are two biergarten areas to try for dining alfresco - we had a great time at happy hour (even though we are a family of 5, they had connect four and other games available). Location wise near enough to china town, wall street etc. I like that self parking is only $28 for 24hrs at the adjacent lot. Make sure you have front desk validate. Otherwise you have to walk back to the hotel. Hotel room is standard fare for financial district economy hotels. Best room in the house is 901 with wrap around balcony and a great view outside. Stayed here for 3 nights with my family while visiting New York city. The location is within a 15 minute walk to 9/11 memorial and Battery Park (Ferry to Statue of Liberty). Less than 10 minute walk to subway system. The free breakfast saves you some time and money before heading out for the day. Parking is right next the hotel and you even get a discounted rate to park. The Hampton inn accommodations are good for a night amor two. Beds were comfortable but I would get a room that faces the back of the hotel. Too Much road noise if you have a room by the road. It was a very nice and clean hotel. Nice quiet area in the evenings and a short walk to battery park and WTC! Loved it. Only downfall was the rooms are VERY TINY!

I stayed here for work and woke up with bug bites covering my legs. The front desk staff was very kind and took pictures of some of the bites. They said a manager would reach out to me right away. I still haven't heard from a manager but but I'm still scratching away. STAY AWAY!!!!

Very nice staff and location. Easy to get to Pace University and simple to find many places to eat and shop at in the Seaport district. The room was clean and had nice amentities like an icebox and small microwave.

Everyone (no exaggeration) at this hotel was incredibly friendly and worked hard to make us happy. The rooms were clean and well kept, the breakfast was always hot and delicious, and the hotel was in a perfect location. Next time we come to NYC we will definitely try to stay at this hotel again.

Right in the heart of the financial district, this hotel is perfect for a quick business trip that you can extend for a couple of personal days. Donna at reception was an absolute gem and made my stay much more enjoyable. I was fortunate to stay in a room with the balcony from where you can see the Freedom Tower and the nighttime view is one to behold. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Southstreet Seaport and views of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The hotel is in a quaint old 9 stories brick building in a semi-residential neighborhood. There is curiously NO signage to indicate a hotel is present and finding it proved a bit difficult even for the cab driver. The extensive renovations going on in the area did not help. It is within walking distant to the center of the Financial District and only a couple of blocks from the Historic Seaport District. A-C and 2-3 trains are three short blocks away. A leisure walk of 15 minutes will take you t... Read more

Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. I stayed on the 8th floor where my room had a full size balcony with table and chairs. It was great to relax after a long day and there was an excellent view of NYC. Hotel is close to Seaport and Financial District. Friendly staff who make the extra effort to make sure you are comfortable. I do not think that there was a single time in my 4 day visit that someone did not greet me with a smile and asking if there was anything that I needed. Hot Breakfast... Read more

I have stayed at this property several times with good results. But this time there seemed to be no street noise suppression in my fourth floor room facing Pearl Street. Suggest choosing higher rooms.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Seaport in lower Manhattan. First, be warned there are two Hampton Inns in the financial district. This is the "Seaport" one. Our Uber driver dropped us off at the other one. It's only a couple blocks away so we walked. Luckily we were only traveling with carryout bags. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. The room surprisingly spacious - for Manhattan, which is known for very small, cramped hotel rooms. Our room had a Queen size bed, desk with chair, and even ... Read more

We stayed at this Hampton Inn a couple of months ago when we visited NYC. It's a very small, but the efficient designed hotel. They make smart use of every square inch. Our double-queen bed room had enough space for 2 people, and possibly a third person if we needed to. The staff members were friendly and incredibly helpful, offering advice to help us navigate the city and make the most of our visit. We especially enjoyed the hot, delicious free breakfast. I find that most hotels that offe... Read more

Great place to stay at: conveniently located (5min walk to subway, 15 min walk to One WTC or Wall St), recently opened (= well maintained), VERY supportive and friendly staff. I can 100% recommend this hotel to anyone spending their weekend/vacation in NYC. We stayed over a weekend in November 2016 as a group of 5. The surroundings of the hotel also developed well over the last years - restaurants and shopping in walking distance for those who want that nearby.

Small but nice hotel. Good location. The seaport financial district is quieter than the average Manhattan neighborhoods. We enjoyed getting away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Manhattan. One fare ride into downtown or uptown Manhattan. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Had a wonderful stay at the Hampton inn. All the staff at this hotel were amazing. Very professional and very helpful. This location was very easy to get to the subway and very close to many tourist locations. The rooms were a bit small but it is New York city. The rooms were very clean I might say. Thank you to the staff at this hotel.

Whenever we go to NYC I like to make sure all our plans are concrete, no surprises. Called the seaport Hampton Inn and asked about parking. They told me that they had parking across the street for $28.00 a day. Great! We have been to NYC many times and know the terrain, along with today's GPS how can one get lost. WELL, this hotel is not marked well. It is a small sliver among a row of buildings. We stopped at another Hampton Inn down the road and asked for directions. We were told this happens... Read more

I stayed 2 nights. What makes this hotel great is the pride the staff exudes in making each guest's stay the best possible. This property is at the old seaport area which is undergoing a transformation with several restaurants a block away. The complementary breakfast was made special due to the pride that was obviously exhibited by the staff, one in particular.

My most favorite hotel to stay when I am working in NYC. Would not stay anywhere else. The staff, especially Kawanna and Donna are exceptional. Can't wait to come back. The staff are some of the most caring and helpful individuals that I have ever encountered in a hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels and lot of Hilton properties. This hotel can not be beat.

We picked this hotel after reading the reviews on here, and we weren't disappointed. I will say the staff we encountered on our arrival day was much friendlier than the staff we spoke too during checkout. The room is basic, but clean, and the beds were very comfortable. For it being such a small hotel, I thought the free breakfast was great, and they had coffee, tea, water and hot chocolate available throughout the entire day, which was nice after returning to the hotel at night in a rainstorm. ... Parking staff is horrible. Hotel is hard to locate. Tiniest of Hampton inn sign and the enterance is hidden behind the bus stop. Rooms are tiny. Also had a horrible experience with the people that were staying on our floor. They had a bunch of rooms on the floor between their family and were loud and obnoxious. Were banging on each other's doors and screaming and yelling all evening and the next morning to try to talk to each other from across the hall etc.

Excellent staff. (Kwana was the best.) Disappointed with Hilton pricing. We booked early, prices dropped considerably closer to the date and Hilton did nothing to address discrepancies. Air conditioning was broken which was a drag.

My family stayed here for Thanksgiving week. The staff moved us to a larger room the second night. The location is excellent, wash access to FiDi attractions, like the WTC Memorial, the subway and South Street Seaport. There are dozens and dozens of restaurants within a few minutes walk and we never had to wait to hail a taxi.Free breakfast included in rate. Only down side was the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors.

We came to spend a weekend visiting friens in Manhattan. Space in New York City is at a premium so rooms tend to be small and sparsely furnished. This hotel made excellent use of the space. The room was very comfortable and very quiet. It is eithin walking distance of the Financial District and the World Trade Center Memorial.

We arrived early and needed to store our bags while we went touring. The hotel was supposed to have storage for luggage. We put our bags and other things on a cart and assumed they would be placed in a safe area. Unfortunately, when we arrived back 8 hours later, they were in the same place we left them- out in the open in the reception/dining area. Anyone could have taken things of the cart. This is a very unsafe practice.

We feel right at home. Clean room, quiet place, nice location for our first trip to New York. The staff, especially Stephanie R. at the reception was always polite and ready to give us help and tips to travel in New York. Breakfast was delicious and with a lot of variety. We will return for our next trip for sure!
