Although the hotel was undergoing entrance and elevators renovations, our stay was very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms are small which is very typical in NYC, but, they were clean and comfortable. Location was 1/2 block from Madison Square Garden and very convenient to many restaurant/bars! Perfect location if you are going to an event at MSG!

Time of my visit excellent rate and location excellent, especially if traveling via Penn Sta (1 block away). Also multiple subway lines within few blocks. Very clean, helpful staff. Few weird bathroom design issues. NO towel bars. Only way to hang used towels is shower rod. Makes no sense when encourage reuse of towels (I support that policy). Also large medicine cabinet hangs out over small sink. Can bang head just leaning over to brush teeth etc. Though small room, decent desk/work are... Read more

$600 a Night.. for a $150 a night experiance any where else in the country.. but I guess that's NYC right. Parking was off site @ $60 a night. The sidewalks are under construction, so not easy to get to the Hitel with Luggage. Best to pull infront of the hotel to unload, that is if you can find a space after fighting the cabs and the contrsution piles and equipment. The property is close to Penn Station and Korea town, so there were good food choices and subways. Uber is the best way to get aro... Read more

We found this to be a great location as you are a 10 to 15 minute walk from Time Square depending on how busy the streets are.If you come out of the front door and turn right and then first left you will find Maceys department store about 3 blocks up which is great for the ladies who like to shop but don't like to have far to carry the bags back. The room was very clean and maintained. The staff is very friendly. Parking is very close in one of the nearby garages. We love the complimentary breakfast, the staff, and the simple but comfortable accommodations. In NYC, that is all you need because it is the city and area that you are interested in, not the geegaws in the hotel. We stayed here for 7 nights in our recent vacation to the States and we were happy that we made the right choice. As first timers in New York, this was an ideal location for us because we were walking distance from most of the sites we needed to go. It's ideally located in Manhattan, a stone throw away from Madison Square Garden and a few blocks from Times Square and Broadway. You also have an array of Restaurants and Boutiques within a few minutes of walk. One of the reasons of our visit to NY... Read more

Loving fancy, gorgeous hotels which carry a ridiculous price tag Hampton inn was a reasonable, well done, well equipped and run midtown hotel. I will consider staying in it for pleasure and saving some money with no sacrifice in service. Live and learn!

Closest Hilton Hotel to Penn station. Smaller hotel but new rooms and accommodations. Not big rooms but bigger than most of the economy hotels in NYC. Staff was great. plenty of space for breakfast area. Quieter neighborhood.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. The bathroom had a smell of urine that didn't go away even after they mopped the floor. I found a hair in a bed that was supposed to be fresh and clean. The fitness room didn't have weights and no AC control in it. Forget about using a virtual credit card number since they will require you to swipe your real credit card at check-in.

To start with, everything here is small except the ceiling height and the tub. Our king-bed room had a few feet on each side of the bed, an a closet. The bathroom sink had just enough space for the bowl and a corner-mounted faucet - no vanity, etc. The hallways are barely 3 feet wide. In short, they crammed the whole place into a small space. But ... we wanted hotel in Manhattan for a few nights that we could depend on being clean and comfy, at a price that wouldn't be 4 to 5 times the pric... Read more

I'm currently staying in the hotel and would probably rate it 4 stars because all the housekeepers and breakfast staff are always so nice, smiling and willing to help, but the frontdesk staff and management is whole different story - front desk agent didn't bother to tell me that her college will check us in, just walked away when were trying to check in and the reason why I'm writing this review, this morning I was stoped in lobby on my way to business centre and asked if I'm staying in the hot... We stayed there for one night and we enjoyed it a lot. The hotel entrance and lobby was tiny so we were worried, but when we got to the room we found it very clean and nice. The location of the hotel has it all, it's only few blocks away from the Times Square. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, the had many options from eggs to bagels to cereal, you can also make your own waffles. Love it and will definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

This hotel is not only the best for an easy walk to/from Penn Station, but, has one of the most helpful staff as any we have encountered in NYC. Also short walk to subway stop for major attractions! Would love a bit more space in room, but, ok for time spent in room!

We stayed here for three nights on our last US trip. The hotel is very well placed near Madison square garden, Empire State, and between a number of different subway stations. It is a smaller hotel and the rooms are nice but small, but this is Manhattan so sq meters/foots are expensive also in hotel rooms. We had our 9 month old son with us and we got superb service in all the needs we had. From a crib, microwave to late checkout. Also it is nice with the Hampton Inn breakfast with is free.

Very small, nice and clean hotel. Location is perfect for a vacation in city, close to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast isn't great but not bad either, not much to choose from but at least you donate need to stay hungry. I really recommend this hotel.

A block from penn station is a super plus especially for those who need to catch early train in the morning. As gold member, you also get free water and snacks for your arrival (another plus when you are in a hurry). Staff are friendly and provide great recommendation for restaurants (Korean town is within two blocks) The only bad side is the room is much smaller than other NYC hotels I have been to. The sheet also have some funny smell but seems clean.

This hotel has a pretty good location for sight-seeing. We walked from the hotel to Times Square, theatres, the High Line, subway stops, the Empire State Building, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station and Central Park. Very close to Penn Station and Madison Sq Garden. Room was nice size for a Manhattan hotel. Breakfast was typical Hampton, but very crowded. The room was very clean, that I will say. When I read the amenities and saw that a fridge and microwave were included, I thought the room would be a decent size. My friend and I were shocked at the size of the room. There was no dresser, no fridge, no microwave and no room appeal. It was totally unacceptable for the amount of money we were paying. I would have made reservations at a hotel 5 doors from were we had to be but read the rooms were small. We did go to check that hotel and that room ... Read more

Stayed here for 4 nights. Travelled from JFK via Air Train and LIRR to Penn Station so a very short walk with our cases (highly recommend this transfer as avoids traffic, easy to use and very cheap). Check in was quick and we were given a map and info on breakfast (6am-10am) and free coffee (all day) - waited longer for the elevator!! The hotel is in an excellent location near Madison Square Garden, so you can walk to most of the attractions, we even walked to WTC ;-). Rooms are very small, not much space for luggage but they are clean and modern. The view was to an office building, so you had to close the curtains all the time, otherwise they could see right into your room. Service is ok. Breakfast is the typical chain breakfast, we did it only once. We got a pretty reasonable rate, so for that is was a good value.

The good: room good size and clean, welcoming staff, excellent location The bad everything else: tiny bathroom, slow internet, only one bedside light - partner to sleep or rest on you to read, no desk light, only 2 elevators, free breakfast worth exactly what you are paying for it, no fridge in room. Everything but the price reeks of cheap

Great location between 6th and 7th on West 31st Street. ( just a one block walk to the "Perfumery Row" on Broadway!! It has a relatively small reception area and only 8 ? or so rooms per floor. Good AC and most importantly very quiet, even in a room overlooking the street. A good size room by NYC standards and appeared to have been recently refurbished. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience the breakfast due to a 5:45am transfer to the airport.

Licated one block away from Penn station, clean, comfortable hotel with Hilton's quality control. Staff was amazing. King room was a bit small and with two suitcases was in the crowded side. Complementary breakfast was good, although Hilton should stop using disposable plates and silverware and provide a better abd "greener" experience.

The hotel room was much larger than we anticipated for the location and the price, and was very comfortable. The hotel itself was clean, the staff professional, and since we were there to see some broadway plays the location was really great. The included breakfast was too gross to eat - we ate at nearby (and not cheap) cafes every morning, unfortunately. Otherwise - ver nice stay.

Overall fantastic stay in this hotel. Strongly advice you to stay here if you like cosy and "home-like" hotels. Every afternoon they will offer you chocolate chip cookies made there. You also have fresh water, tea, coffee and apples 24/7! Every morning you also have little breakfast bags to go. The staff was really nice and helpful. The only thing missing is a bar. Nice Wi-Fi service.

We chose this Hampton as it was close to Madison Square Garden and it had a great rate. Hampton is always a great choice for our family as it comes with complimentary breakfast and internet. The rooms here are small but it is New York City. The beds are quite firm as I prefer something a little softer. I chose the 19th floor to avoid street noise as best as possible.
