We stayed in a 20th (top) floor no-view but very quiet room. Probably the smallest Hampton Inn room out of the many we've stayed in, but this is NYC--it's to be expected. The two double bed room was perfectly clean and had no signs of wear. We had to wait for the elevator a couple of minutes a few times--no big deal. Typical decent Hampton Inn breakfast with no problems ever getting a seat. When I had trouble getting the TV to work, someone came up in 5 minutes and fixed it. The hotel is shoutin... Read more

A smart no frills Hotel with good clean rooms and friendly service right at the heart of the city. For business or for tourists it provides sanctuary in a busy city and easy access to all areas. If you like City buzz you'll like it here. Breakfast is adequate but if you don't like it within a few yards of the entrance you can eat as much as you want.

Hotel was easy to find. Room was clean and warm. Very good value for money in mid-town Manhattan. The best part of staying at this hotel is the close proximity to Empire State Bldg., Macy's Herald Square, Times Square. I would recommend staying here if you are just looking for a good room.

The area this hotel is in is wonderful. It's close to the action of Broadway and Times Square (if that's your thing), but far enough away where it feels less chaotic and is certainly not as bright. There are a lot of places to eat in the area and it's right by Herald Square and the original Macy's. There's tons of shopping and it is also convenient to Madison Square Garden. The best part is that it's right by a subway station that will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go so all you ... Read more

Stayed here two nights at 213.00 a night. Just a quick lil vacay with my 9 year old...our first real vacation. Room was clean and quiet. Bathroom was beautiful! Phillips Tv, cable with all the channels. Bed was comfortable, but the sheets/comforter are another story. Would it kill them to use some fabric softener? They got maximum use of the space they have. Comfy and cozy, not crowded. Reason for the 3 star review is two fold. 1. No mini fridge. 2. Bed linens that feel like they are made wit... Read more

Came to NYC for my birthday weekend, stayed @HamtonInn, was centrally located. Close to subway stations, Macy's on Herald Square, even Times Square was a short jaunt away... breathtaking views of the city everywhere you go. Hotel itself was good. Stayed at the16th floor, facing the Empire State Building! Room was standard NYC size. Small, but well stocked. Clean sheets, essential toiletries, and friendly staff. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. And hot coffee/hot chocolate for late nig... Read more

Positives - Hampton Style Breakfast every morning, attentive, clean breakfast area. Great Location near Macys 10 Min walk to Times Square, Battery Park, NYC Public Library, Good size room via NYC standards. Cons Elevator takes YEARS!!! Toward the end of our stay we noticed our bed kept pushing us toward the middle. Concierge was just there not very engaged in speaking to guest.

Fine hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The most perfect location for a NYC-experience. The rooms are a little bit small and outdated but clean and equipped with a hairdryer and a iron. We had wonderful views on the Empire State Building. The breakfast is fine but bussy. You can get take-a-way coffee the whole day. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's too bad that there are too little elevators, so you sometimes you have to wait long.
