The location of Our hotel could not have been better! Our room was as exactly what was needed to rest our heads for the night to start the next days adventure. The wait for the elevator was NOT an issue, We just added more exercise to our day by using the stairs!! The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful, The breakfast was also a great start to our day! This will be the Hotel for us to come back to in the future! We found it to be a very positive experience!

This is not the best hotel i have ever been at but its position it perfect to reach the most attractive sightseeing of Manhattan. The room are quite small and there's no bar service inside, but the bathroom was nice and everything clean at least! The hotel offers free breakfast, not continental one but enough to full your stomach for a couple of hours. To end my review i would like to say that the something about staff, all kind and gentle! And for NYC it a good standard

Arriving in Penn Station after being dropped off very late at night by NY Airporter Shuttle we found the walk (with two heavy suitcase) very manageable and safe. Room on 12th floor (with view of Empire State - as requested) was cosy. Had a problem turning the water off in the bath/shower and engineer came asap to help out and explain what I was doing wrong. Breakfast included was a bonus and enjoyed every day, especially freshly cut fruit salad and 'make your own' waffles. Good variety of ch... Read more

This was my second time at this hotel and I will continue to stay here when I visit NYC. Great location and complimentary breakfast. Excellent customer service. We arrived at 8:30 am after a long-haul flight, too early to check in. However, we were given a complimentary breakfast and our luggage was stored until our room was ready at 1 pm, two hours early!!! Also, the complimentary bottled water was a huge plus. Can't wait to return next year.

This is the best location. It is close to the Empire State Building. You can pay extra to get a view from your room. You walk out of the hotel & you are at Broadway. You have all the chains stores. There is a Mosque just few streets away on 29th street West. This is the best catch for me as both me & my wife would like to say some of our prayers in the Mosque in any city we travel to. The midtown location of this hotel, steps from several subway lines at Herald Square, is very convenient. The rooms are small, but clean and efficient, and the free breakfast is a great money-saver, if pretty basic. The neighborhood is not one in which you'll want to hang out, but it's easy to get to anywhere in the city. I've stayed here a couple times for business and will return in the future.

The free breakfast and free wifi and location sold me on this hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. It also was a good value. Only negatives were that there was no pool and no microwave/frig in the hotel thats about it. You can request a frig if they have one available though. Valet parking only too.

A clean hotel but what makes this hotel special is the staff. Emanuel the night manager deserves a mention as he really is the most helpful employee we've ever met. We had a small problem in our room & he really did have it sorted in minutes. He always had a smile & nothing was too much trouble. Lucky Hampton Inn having a employee of such high integrity. Pantry staff delightful & the breakfasts were lovely .We found the room quiet. Hotel location was perfect.

I have stayed at numerous Hilton brand hotels both in the US and internationally and this hotel was not worth the nightly rate. Rooms are very small and outdated, need to add 15 to 20 minutes to your schedule if your planning on being somewhere in the morning waiting for the elevators. If your on the higher levels you get on but stop at every floor. Poor people on floor 7 down have to always wait for the next one.

The subway was about 200 feet from the hotel and we bought a week long pass. We used the subway numerous times and never needed a cab. This hotel was centrally located. Though the room was small (i'm sure most rooms in New York are equally small), it offered great amenities. The breakfast was great and different everyday. The only issue were the elevators. The staff frequently held up the elevators. Also with 20 floors it could take up to 20 minutes for it to make it to our floor. I would suggest a service elevator for the staff.

This Hampton Inn compared favorably to other Hampton Inns so if you like the Hampton Inn experience, you should like this hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were great. The location is hard to beat near Time Square. The only downside is that the breakfast area and elevators are not meant to handle a full house of families on vacation in the summer. The wait for a table and breakfast and the wait for an elevator was frustrating, but understandable given the crown of guests.

Our room with a view of Empire State Building wasn't ready on arrival, so I can review both those rooms with and without the view of ESB..... both are great. But we were lucky enough to be allocated the room on the top (20th) floor eventually, which was amazing..... look one way and ESB looms large and the other way Macy's greets you. The breakfast selection was large and varied day-to-day. Like anywhere in Manhattan, space at breakfast was at a premium, but a small price to pay. Only yards from... Read more

The Hampton is located very close to the Empire State building. Great location for business or touring. Convenient to many restaurants. Close walk to shopping on 5th Ave or Park Ave. Close enough to walk to Times Sq. Hotel is average Hampton for the crowded location in Midtown. Good Wi-Fi. Breakfast included. Nice for a quick business stay.

Great location, so central to everything in Manhattan and handy to the Subway. Breakfast and WiFi included as well as 24hr tea & coffee facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Price wise pretty good, good for Manhattan anyway, there's a lot more expensive paces to stay, not many cheaper (but I don't believe they offer as good value). If you're travelling to New York, stay in Manhattan, stay here, you won't be disappointed.

This is a good budget friendly hotel in the center of Manhattan and easy walking or uber ride to Times Square and close to the Empire State Building. This hotel does not offer suites but arranged for us to have two rooms next to one another, both with view of the Empire State Building. The free breakfast is not worth getting up for. The dining area is small and over crowded with limited seating. The lobby is also small which can be a problem during peak check in and check out times. Also, h... Read more

Arrived on a Friday evening to be greeted by a repugnant stench from piles of refuse outside front door. Lovely room but no sign of ESB views, just an empty building. Having stayed at other moderately priced hotels in Manhattan, this one wins for sure. Reasons I would stay again: 1- Very friendly and helpful staff. They truly want to serve their guests and make sure they are taken care of. 2- Location. For us, we were traveling for work and this was exactly where we needed to be. Not to mention, there are a lot of tourist places very nearby for a quick excursion in between work commitments. There were also great places to work in the lobby/dining area d... Read more

Just returned from a visit to New York. Not knowing where to stay when booking, we stuck a pin in and really did well in our 'lucky dip'. The location could not have been more central to not only the Attractions, but also the Subway. From my early request for something 'Special' prior to our arrival (as it was my 30th Wedding Anniversary) right through to the day we left. The Duty Supervisor upgraded us to not only High Level but also Views of the Empire State Building. We had 3 rooms in total a... Read more

This is a good tourist class hotel in a great location, a very short walk from Herald Square subway, with some good bars and restaurants in the street, and only 10 mins from Times Square. The staff were very friendly, and our room was quiet and of a good size with perfectly good facilities. As other reviews have mentioned, however, the breakfast room is cramped at busy times, and the wait for the lift could be frustrating at times. This was our first time in this hotel and we were delighted. The staff are superb. Friendly, helpful and cheerful. Outside, it's not easy to see from the street unless you are looking for it. I got a Google Street view so I knew where it was and what it looked like. Outside there are 3 tables and chairs which people seemed to like to use to read the paper with a coffee or plan out their day. Room was comfortable, I grappled a little bit with the temperature which may have affected my sleep a little however that could also have been attributed to my lack of proficiency with the air con unit and jet lag.
