If you are coming off a plane late in the day or getting on an early one, this hotel is only a few minutes away from airport. We experienced a comfortable bed and pillows, clean, efficient, WiFi, bar and quiet. Couldn't hear planes at all. Nice touch was a breakfast bag to take away if leaving before 6 a.m.

If you need something close to the airport than it is a good choice. For dinner you would have to cross lobby to nearby hotel where unfortunately food tends to be expensive but there are not too many choices nearby otherwise. Rooms are fairly big in size and comfortable. Would stay again if not in need to go into Manhattan.

Hampton inn always has great service and quality rooms, this branch did not fall short. The hotel sits in Queens, not far from JFK and the free shuttle to the airport is great. This Hampton is near your typical neighborhood in the city aside from appearances it is a very safe neighborhood. The rooms were very nice and clean. Beds were probably at a average comfort level. Only issue here is that the breakfast isn't very good (think from items from a sysco truck). Overall this is a great hotel for... Read more

The hotel is good for short-term stay and very close to JFK. It is clean and very quiet, with a decent restaurant (but expensive) shared with Hilton. Complimentary internet, hot breakfast, and decent fitness center are plusses. However, it is too far from other restaurants and other amenities (other than airport via shuttle). Hence, my 4-day stay was pleasant but boring.

We have used this Hampton Inn on more than one occasion when we had to catch an early morning ( 7:00 am) flight out of Kennedy. Check in is quick, rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The Hampton is connected to the Hilton (which is pricier) and you can walk over to the lounge there to get something to drink and eat. The Hampton rate is very reasonable! This the way to go if you don't want to worry about getting stuck in traffic and miss your early flight! They offer a free shuttle ... Read more

We stayed here 5/27/2016 prior to an international flight. The hotel is recently remodeled. The rooms are clean. There is no restaurant on site however, they are directly connected to the Hilton via an internal walkway where there is a full restaurant and bar that is easily accessible. We took advantage of a park and fly package while we were there and had excellent shuttle service to and from the airport. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Location is quite convenient, a few miles from JFK Airoport and with a direct shuttle (even though I cannot tell anythng about this service, as I was driving). As for the hotel, room is clean but with very old furnishing, fan coil incredibly noisy. Astonishing the breakfast: "stony" omelettes with cheese, hard-to-chew sweets, paper dishes and glasses. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and overall condition of our room. Even though there was no restaurant facility in the hotel, it connected to the Hilton Hotel next door. We flew in to JFK for a 18 day vacation in New York State / Canada and decided to stay two nights at this hotel. Convenient for JFK - free shuttle bus takes you to "Federal Central" where you can connect with the "JFK Air Train" either to go to one of the terminals or to the subway station where you can reach Manhattan in 45 minutes or so. The other problem is the shuttle. Waited almost an hour for the shuttle to pick us up at airport and from talking to others that is the norm.

Excellent. Family in the area for a wedding. the accomendations were great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is always good, we just love it, especially the variety of items at breakfast. One thing its always crowded, that because the food is excellent.

Getting to JFK from NYC can be a hassle. I like to stay close to the airport when I have a morning flight. You can't get any closer than the Hampton Inn, Jamaica NY. WHY: -This Hampton is approximately 1 mile from the airport. - It's The Hampton, so you can rest assured the beds are clean - The hotel is safe - When you check in schedule your shuttle time with the front desk - Shuttle drivers drop you off fast and on time -You can order a pizza delivered to your hotel door -There's coffee at... Comfortable beds & clean rooms and very friendly staff. No restaurant however, Hilton and Marriott next door. And the hotel has carry out menus for delivery from restaurants close by. Recommended this hotel.

Maybe spend 30 dollars more and stay at the hilton next door. This Hampton Inn is the worst property of the Hilton Chain I have ever seen. Dirty halways and lobby. Old furniture and overall dirty installations.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel and we had an amazing experience. Once we walked in, we were greeted right away and shown where everything was. This trip was for my girlfriends anniversary and the staff did an amazing job at setting up our room . Wanda and Tanya went out there way with their hospitality to ensure we were enjoying our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family! Thank you again for everything Wanda and Tanya! You guys rock!

Excellent all around. I would stay again when near JFK. I stay at Hampton Inns in general, and they are great. Good value for the money. I would recommend this hotel to others if their travels take them to the JFK area.

The bathtub had long black hair in it. I was beyond disgusted. We did not see this until we were preparing to leave. If I had seen this earlier I would have requested another room. We were only there a few hours. Never again!

Very good hotel to spend one night if you have an early flight or late arrival. The bed was big and super comfortble. There was a bathtub (I took one!), complete breakfast and fitness center. I will come back!

The hotel is clean, breakfast does not start until 6 am so early check out you leave hungry. The front desk staff could not help with a billing error, we waited over 30 minutes for it to be resolved and still are waiting for the credit to be given for their error.

Easily accessible airport hotel. Free breakfast and comfortable rooms. Bigger than most nyc hotel rooms. If you're going into the city just catch the shuttle to the airport and take the train into town

The best thing was an enclosed walkway to the Hilton next door so we did not have to wear a coat to go to the bar or restaurant, there were no stores or shops near so we basically had to eat and drink at the Hilton but for two days it was fine. The shuttle to the airport was excellent. We are older and the driver helped with the bags above what was expected

The hotel was ok customer service at first I thought it was great until I told them they had an insect problem. To my surprise I had a 5 inch water bugs crawling on me. I've never been in a hotel with bugs before and I completely freaked out. I complained the day it happened checked out and the day after management kept saying they'd call me back but nothing. Hotel policy at the front desk clearly stated if your unhappy with your room then you would get a full refund. But that was totally fa... Read more

Everything works well. You catch the shuttle from a air tram stop just outside the airport, making things very easy to find. A lot of confusion between the HD Inn and the Express HD Inn - make sure you're going to the right now. The hotel staff were friendly. Room was clean and new.

We can from a JetBlue flight and had to use the AirTrain to get to Federal circle (3 stops away) but we called for the van to be there to pick us up and it was! Place was clean and very busy but staff seemed friendly. The Next Morning the breakfast area was comfortable, clean and actually quite nice! A lot of food choices; hot and cold cereals, make your own waffles, turkey ham and eggs, yogurt, juices, coffee etc. Big thanks to Breakfast Hosts; Charlene & Trish! In some ways very nice hotel. We stopped for one night as we had an early morning flight. Check in was very efficient, room was large and very clean. Airport shuttle left bang on time and worked well. Breakfast was nothing special but OK. It is about 15 mins in a taxi from Jamaica Queens station ($16) and 15 mins in the shuttle to JFK. I would probably suggest you eat somewhere else as we made the mistake of going through the walkway to the Hilton for Dinner. The food was more expensive than ho... Read more

The beds at the Hampton Inn are the most comfortable I've slept in. The continental breakfast is adequate and the location is ideal for getting to the airport in minutes. Check-in and check-out is simple and I like the idea of picking my room ahead of arrival.

Would have given 5 star if it wasnt for the noise issue, shuttle service was good and ran promptly every 30 minutes. Room was a good size, clean comfortable and modern apart from having no sound insulation ! Constantly woken up during the night by noisy guests, you could hear every word in adjacent rooms.. breakfast was not great but was included in the room rate. Staff friendly and helpful.

I got here at midnight having taken a private shuttle from La guardia airport. It was a good 30 min ride and it was saturday night and raining so technically its shorter on most days. The front desk gentleman was very accommodating, he checked me in seamlessly and answering all my questions brimming with a smile considering it was late at night. He also asked me if I need any food options at that time of the night, i refused though, cause it was late but thanked his kindness anyway. Very polish... Read more

Nice staff, fast pick up at hotel shuttle site after phone call. Close to airport. Shuttle was on time next morning. Average room. The heat/air conditioner vent was blowing directly on the head of the bed...not comfortable. The bed sheets were such poor quality they looked dingy and the duvet did not look like it was cleaned after each guest....there was hair. Clean cotton linen is about all I ask and one night cost 172. with tax, one person, so I'll look around.
