The people who work at this location made this one-night stay above-average! Thank you to asst gen mgr Melissa Pacheco, and Front Desk personnel Louane and Joseph. It started with smiles, calmness, patience, and full knowledge of services they could provide, and the walking time to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, and great Chinese food for lunch nearby. Ask for a room on opposite side of elevated trains for a quieter space. Because of this clean, well-maintained, updated Fairfield Inn, we were reduc... Read more

Shout out to Melissa Pacheco! I bet you can't find a friendlier hotel manager anywhere! Melissa made our stay especially sweet. The staff are all friendly, but she stands out among them. Bright, super-clean, ample sized rooms with well stocked breakfast bar included. The location on the edge of Chinatown and Lower East Side puts you in the thick of lower Manhattan - we walked to East Village, Soho, NYU no problem. I liked the neighborhood setting over more commercial areas. Many foreign t... Read more

The staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast was great and the location is 1 block away from the F train that took us to the rest of Manhattan. The rooms were VERY clean, the hotel is rather new. 12 of us stayed there and enjoyed every minute.

Myself and two friends stayed at the Fairfield in Chinatown for 5 nights in may. The hotel is a perfect location to get into the main attractions by taxi or subway on the F train uptown to times square Rockefeller etc. The hotel room was modern quite small and there was limited wardrobe space but for the price we paid it was fantastic. Breakfast had a good range, can get busy get down there before 830 else you will be queuing. the hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. Overall, when I return... Read more

I especially made an account with Trip Advisor to write a review for this hotel. Firstly, I wanted to give an outstanding review to the manager Melissa for being the most accommodating and friendly hotel staff member I've ever come across. From the moment we stepped into the hotel till the very last moment of our stay there, she made sure we were especially accommodated. The only negative I would have about the hotel would be one of the staff members named Sam who had an extremely nasty attitude... Read more

We stayed here in 2014, and stayed here again because of the great experience we had. Great value still, because you are in Manhattan, near the subway and bus stops, and near the best food and souvenirs Chinatown and Little Italy have to offer! The room is small, as expected for a hotel of this price range in downtown Manhattan, but manageable. You can iron your clothes here, but I'm not sure if there's laundry available. Breakfast is okay (waffles, eggs, turkey burger, bread, oats), but the buf... Read more

I'm rating this poor only because of the surrounding area - there are plenty of NYC hotels in the same price range where you don't have to literally step over a passed out man within 50 yards of the front door. If you take a cab or uber here you'd never notice. I drove - foolish I know - but was able to park for free on the street overnight next to above mentioned man. The hotel itself is fine - nice room, bathroom and breakfast. The service is ok. The windows did open to let in fresh air wh... Read more

Great hotel in a fairly good location. Close to the subway and Manhattan bridge. Breakfast was good too and staff very helpful - especially as our luggage forgot to travel with us!!!! It eventually arrived on our last day, thankfully!! Definitely would recommend but not for those who want to stay in the midst of busy New York!! Ideal for families..

The number one reason for staying at this property was the fact that we wanted a name brand hotel (i.e. Marriott, Hilton, etc) for the lowest price possible, which is what we got. The hotel itself is situated in Chinatown and is a short walk from the East Broadway Subway stop. We were around the hotel at all hours of the day and never felt in any kind of danger. Yes, the Asian market that is right downstairs from the property stinks like fish, but once you're inside, you don't smell a thing. The... Read more

We liked very much this hotel as it has a good quality-price relation. It's not located in the nicest area of nyc, but you're in Manhattan, you have the East Broadway Subway 5min walking (15 min to Times Square) and it's near the Brooklyn bridge, little Italy and even Soho. The hotel is modern inside, very clean, the staff is nice, a very good breakfast and nice rooms as well. We didn't have noise problems, our room faced Pike st. I recommend it.

What an amazing place to stay! The hotel was just the best, clean and tidy at all times. House keeping was done on a regular basis, everything you could possibly want in your room, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath and shower gel, hand and bath towels and flannels. A microwave and fridge which was supplied with bottles of water. Buffet breakfast which consisted of a choice of hot food eg bacon and egg, waffles or pancakes or fre... Read more

Everything was fine. Best were the cleanliness and the closeness to the subway station. Maybe the rooms were on the small side but for this bargain price with hot breakfast included it was the perfect hotel for our family vacation. Friendly staff at all times. Close walk to Chinatown and even downtown is not far away.

When visiting NYC this probably wouldn't be my first choice in the way of locations. The neighborhood is very Asian, not surprisingly being just south of Chinatown. I'm not sure I would advise going exploring after dark, but once inside....it's easy to forget where you are. The hotel is new, modern and adorned with bright colors. Adjacent to the front desk are all the snacks, beer, wine, etc you need for the night. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious by NYC s... Read more

I am so pleased I found a deal on a double queen bedroom in the middle of July! All other hotels wanted close to $400 in Times Square or Madison Square Garden area, but my son and I opted for a less expensive experience near Chinatown. The hotel is only 2.5 years old thus very modern and quite clean. The General Manager, Sean, and his staff were all so kind, courteous, and professional. Breakfast was good- not great- but included in the affordable cost of the room...so who's complaining- not me... Read more

Hotel was decently priced that's why we chose to stay here. The staff was very nice and everything was clean. The breakfast was a mix of muffins, bagels, yogurt etc...don't have any complaints at all...it was a very nice stay. It is in Chinatown also.

I'd give this a 3.5 but that's not an option. The hotel is ok. It's in Chinatown, with great access to FDR. So if you're traveling up the East Side of Manhattan, this is an ideal spot. The hotel's staff did a good job during our stay. It was 2 adults and 2 children. As is the case with all hotels in the city, they will charge you an arm & a leg for parking, but if you are comfortable parallel parking, there are many choices a block or two up from the hotel. May not be as convenient, but b... Read more

Why a 5.0? Fantastic service!! It started with Chris and her GREAT attitude at the front desk who I contacted a week prior to our family's first vacation/visit to NYC.(I am very thorough with family trips) She answered all of my questions with no hesitation and was very helpful adding suggestions to make our stay in NYC a better experience. Our stay at the Fairfield was an exceptional value for the price. Wanting to tour the city for the first time the location was safe and just a short walk to ... Read more

Hello people, Our nights at this hotel were just fine. We were given what we asked for (an airbed). There was free breakfast downstairs, which was great because, you know, free food. I appreciated the employees' friendly attitudes and their accommodating behavior. It was pricey, considering we were in downtown Manhattan. For us, it wasn't a long term stay because of that, but certainly a pleasant one.
