Found his place hotel "shopping" - excellent 2-night deal, clean, safe, nice staff. Room is very small but I am here for a theatre weekend so how much time am I in my room anyway! BUT, here's the key: location, location, location. No more than 4 blocks to any of my shows, a Starbucks on one corner, 24-hour drugstore on another. I will definitely come back.

We stayed here for to attend the Broadway dance parade and festival. The staff at this hotel is amazingly helpful and nice. Although the rooms are small they are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just what we needed to get something quick and be able to get going in the morning.

We had a great stay here, location was perfect. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Staff are all very friendly and very helpful. You get free tea and coffee all day. Breakfast was great I had a bagel everyday and kept us going till lunch. It's just a couple of blocks away from times square.

Meh. That's all we can say. The location is great and the prices was acceptable, but the hotel offered nothing in terms of services or amenities. I might stay there again, but surely there must be other inexpensive hotels that offer more.

Location of this hotel is fantastic. Our room was adequate but in need of decoration. Our daughter and her husbands room was very very small. Rooms was cleaned every day and fresh towels left. Breakfast was ok but not consistent in what was available. Majority of the staff were great. However there was one who I found rude when I asked to use the phone she wanted me to stretch the phone wire between three people having breakfast and couldn't understand why I wouldn't! There was one staff... Read more

I loved the location of this hotel. Times square was 2 blocks, a Duane Reade and Starbucks across the street. I walked to all of the theaters I had tickets to. It is in a very safe area and in the heart of the theater district. They also had a small continental breakfast which consisted of hard boiled eggs, choice of cereals, bananas, apples, toast, baked goods. They even got me a cereal that was gluten free upon request. They always had ice water, coffee, and fruit out for your taking throughou... Read more

We booked 2 queen rooms for two nights in May. We booked them, in person, at the hotel in Times Square in March, and the front desk woman assured us that we were getting the best AAA price! We looked forward very much to taking my Niece for her first trip into NYC. When we checked in they had me initial an sign that the rate is what we agreed to, and we went exploring. Well, it turns out that the rate we paid is $60 per room per night MORE than the highest rate on their website! When I voiced m... Read more

This is probably one of the best hotels for tourists that are looking for a place to just get some rest. The reason it is so awesome is the location combined with the pricing. It is literally one block away from Times Square, which means it is pretty much a walking distance from almost all of the tourist spots in Manhattan. Also, it was about 60% of the price of other hotels we looked at in Manhattan. We were there for 3 days and 2 nights and ended up benefitting from the close proximity on all ... Read more

I stayed here in a double room with my 3 kids while in NYC. The rooms are tiny. TINY! With 3 kids in such a small space Im not sure Im crazy enough to do that again but I would stay here again as a couple. The service was excellent. The breakfast was simple but filling. And the location was PERFECT. We were literally 3 blocks from the heart of Times Square. Thank you Econo Lodge staff.

Stayed at the hotel for 6 nights in May 2016, it was excellent. The reception staff were excellent and really helpful. Really good breakfast in the lobby before busy days. Room was small but clean and comfortable, all you need in NYC. Location was perfect for getting to everything, times square and beyond. There were so many good places to eat if you go around the streets near the hotel and stay away from times square. Excellent bar directly opposite as well. I'd stay again for sure.

It's close to time square and restaurant row. The rooms are small and very clean. The hotel staff are very friendly...only thing is it noisy at night outside, but it's not the hotel's fault...I thought something was up when they supply you with ear plugs, but it still a great place to stay .

Over all the plus points for this hotel out weigh the negative ones. Clean hotel, great staff, great location and adequate breakfast fare, are positives. Negatives 1 Noisy but this is New York so to be expected. 2. Small rooms but you are out all day exploring so no great problem 3 we were not made aware that breakfast items could be warmed. One thing to consider for anyone using a wheelchair, the accessible rooms really are not that good. One of our party occasionally has to use a wheelchair ... Read more

If you're looking for a no-frills hotel room 2 blocks from Times Square, this is it. The location is great for pretty much all NYC tourism. The front desk staff was nice and accommodating. But, as you can see in my photos, the rooms are SMALL. I was told we had a queen bed, but that was a full at best. The bed is so close to the wall that I had to turn to the side and shuffle my legs sideways to get away from the bed. The bed BTW, was actually pretty comfortable. Overall, it's a place to ... We were so impressed with the Econo Lodge Times Square. The rooms were small, but spotlessly clean and the staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to it - what a find. Included in the price was free wi-fi, continental breakfast which was more than adequate and also free calls to Canada and the U.S.

Our hotel room was the smallest we've seen, but we were prepared for it from reading TripAdvisor reports before arriving, so it was manageable, with space to leave two large cases open. The room was clean. The television, clock radio and phone were not working on arrival but were fixed when requested. The included daily breakfast was most enjoyable and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a regular chat with Willie, who was on night duty and was always friendly and helpful. T... VERY expansive for this quality of services. In fact, the rooms for 2 with one bed is so little, it's impossible to sleep with an other people on this bed. The curtains were too short for the windows, and the light of the day coming directly in the room. No special room for breakfast, we had to take our trails in the room, and eat on the bed. Dispite of that, the location of the hotel is very interesting, and the staff is very nice and lovely.

I booked a last minute trip to New York, and found a room available at the Econo Lodge Times Square only 3 days in advance in July. My 15 year old daughter and I stayed there for 4 nights for $122/night with a AAA rate. We arrived around 10am, and it was too early to check in, so we left our luggage with the front desk. We came back around 1:15pm to check in Room 410. The room is very small, but it's fine for 2 people for a short stay. There's a small closet with 2 shelves, which we didn't use. ... Read more

3 nights stay while visiting NY. Amazing location!!! Very close to times square and yet not in the middle so you can actually sleep! Very clean and well maintained hotel, stuff awesome and accommodating. Rooms are super small, I mean it and the only elevator for 6 floors is slow. Parking is at separate location and extra fee $40/night but this is normal in New York. All in all very good for the price and I WILL STAY AGAIN!

Small but very comfortable room in a great location. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Have to highlight that the shower was outstanding! Only had 1 small issue - the noise. I was on the 2nd floor so I had lots of street noise, though the hotel provided ear plugs which allowed me to get a good night's sleep. In brief, I'd stay there again!

Reasonably priced hotel in a tremendous Times Square location, just a few minutes from Broadway. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Traffic noise at night due to being at the corner of 8th Avenue. Double glazed, but the sound comes through the air con unit in the window, so bring your own good ear plugs as the ones they supply are not great. Would defo still recommend it for the reasons stated.

The hotel is a budget hotel so these are not luxury accommodations. The room was clean and well situated. You have exactly what you need for a good night's sleep and really what more do you need. I was there for a Broadway show. It took us five minutes to walk to our show and ten minutes to walk home because we stopped at a 24 hour gelato shop on Broadway.
