"Not sure what the 'Dream' part of Dream NYC was or is. The best thing about the hotel is its location, but for the same price you can get a room right down the block at the nicer, better appointed and maintained Park Central. I did not expect a large room from a self-anointed 'Boutique' hotel. The room was tiny. That was not the problem. The room was also technically clean but it was so tired and worn...water rings and worn off varnish on desk and bureau, old dirty grout and cracked tiles in bathroom, crust on faucets, rusty towel rods and baskets. I could tolerate that, but then there was the noise from the hall all night...can hear doors from down the hall open and shut all night...Final draw, had to call down to the front desk to figure out how to turn off the cheesy blue lights around the desk and under the bed...Had to get on my knees to unplug the blue neon light under the bed...Dream...what dream?"

"They market themselves as luxury 5 star and the lobby is pretty nice but the rooms sadly were not. The carpet is worn and old, I didn't feel comfortable being bare-footed in my room and the furniture is showing wear. The bathroom tiles were dirty but not from lack of cleaning, they were encrusted with a pale yellow from being old. TV was good, Panasonic sure beats the LG tv from the W hotel I stayed in the night before. If you can get a good deal on price, I'd recommend as location is awesome. But to pay full price is not worth the salt."

"the location is perfect to get around to all the tourist places to see while in nyc. many nice restaurants around close by. room quite small but clean. did have room temp issues. great addition of the bar next door is awesome. great decor.."

"Solid, comfortable, clean place with a little pizazz. Staff was good, too. Location is about as good as it gets if you are interested in Broadway musicals and theater. Go for it."

"This was a part of the Christmas gift to our family. We were so excited. Was exhausted due to poor sleep from paper thin walls made the conversations next door easy to hear. Too loud bar, not welcoming, cheesy themed rooms (neon lights).... People that worked there were unprofessional, the shower created a 1/2 inch of water across the bathroom floor. Rooms were super duper tiny. Smaller than NYC tiny. Way over priced.
Good parts : they allowed an early check in so we could store our bags in our room, cool fish tank and good location.

Overall: Could have found another hotel at half the price with breakfast included that would have been in a good location. Definitely look elsewhere. Not family friendly.... at all.
