I enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree Chelsea although I am not used to the New York noise. The people were great, the room cleans but basic - all I needed for my stay although an extra 20 square feet would have been nice so you can sit in the chair and someone can sill get into the room past the end of the bed. There was always elevator problems while I was there, but it was never a problem and the one time I would have had to carry my bags up a set of stairs- from the business center, a man wash... I was traveling to New York City by myself which is something that I never do. It was such a relief to have the staff be so kind and helpful with questions and finding me a cab to the airport. I ate in the restaurants for supper and breakfast. For supper, I had a cobb salad and it was very good. For breakfast, I had fresh fruit with yogurt and granola and it was INCREDIBLE. I believe the granola was homemade and I was given lots of fruit (strawberries, blueberries and blackberries). It sati... Read more

I stayed at this hotel last week. I was traveling for business. The hotel is clean, front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was a pretty decent size considering it's NYC. We ate dinner at Bricchino's down the street on the recommendation of the bellman, which was excellent. I was up on a higher floor and did hear some city noise, but it wasn't bad. I did want to share a very bizarre experience I had trying to park my car at the garage across the street (the one the hotel works ... Read more

I have stayed on 24th/6th, 28th/6th and now 29th/6th in Hilton properties, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden and Double tree about 30 times. What a difference a couple of blocks make! Nearer you get to Herald Sq worse it gets. Dirty street full of smoking rag trade workers vs flower market on 28th and office workers on 24th. Rooms are renovated and sink leaves you absolutely nowhere to put your bath things, towels are thin. But worst aspect, all these Mnahattan hotel suffer to some extent, is the eleva... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights in the hilton honours room on the 24th floor. Basic room. We went room only so cannot comment on food. We did get a bit cookie on arrival though The hotel is well situated off 6th avenue. Nice little cafe at top of the street with a lovely breakfast buffet. The room had a fab shower and the beds are so comfortable. The front of house staff are so friendly and helpful I would certainly stay here again

Central location for sites we wanted to visit. Very close to everything going on in the village and Chelsea, close to shopping and historical sites and great food. Rooms were nice and clean and we really didn't hear any noise. Oh.. and the breakfast was very good

Hotel location is walk-able to a number of things but the immediate area feels sparse in the evening. The rooms were clean and reasonably sized. The amenities felt average. I think the hotel's standout point was their staff. Every interaction I had was friendly and they went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. Their check in and checkout processes were very easy. Overall the hotel is great if you are not looking for luxury.

This hotel is conveniently located on 37th St, particularly because it is near the subway, so access to Downtown, Uptown etc is easy. The staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choices although fresher pastries would be appreciated. My granddaughter said the Fitness Center was satisfactory. Our room was clean. Highly recommended for a good value hotel in Manhattan. Stayed 4 nights.

The hotel provides a delightful experience in a lively neighborhood. It is walking distance from many fine restaurants, bars and music clubs. An extra special is the location near the flower district on 28th St. On our stroll Sunday morning we purchased a phenomenal orchid plant.

We unexpectedly found ourselves staying another night in New York so after ringing around and finding most places booked out ended up staying at the Doubletree Chelsea by default really. The room, which cost a total of USD 384.72 on a Monday night, was small but had all the required amenities and though rather average it was completely fine. It was nice and close to quite a few bars but we found it hard to find a restaurant that wasn‚??t a grill or pub style place. Should‚??ve asked at receptio... Read more
