Very attentive staff. Room very comfortable and well maintained. Convenient location. Very spacious for a New York City Hotel. It would have been nice to have a breakfast auction similar to the Hampton Inn.

A charming hotel in downtown. My room was small, but clean and comfortable. Anyway, I was in New York to see the city, no lounge in my room. Located so close to so much. Was lovely to walk to stores, dining and galleries. The train lines are all right there.

I had a great experience at the Cosmopolitan Hotel - Tribeca. It was located in a nice neighborhood where I felt safe and comfortable. This is my new favorite hotel in NYC. I am in the city frequently for work, and I love when the Cosmopolitan is available. The staff is always friendly, so from the moment you check in, you feel welcome. I have had a few different rooms, of varying sizes. All clean, well appointed, and so comfortable. I'm not there to spend a whole lot of time in my hotel, but the small touches make the time away from home more enjoyable. There are CO Bigelow toiletries in the bathroom, plenty of outlets in con... I was a bit hesitant by some of the other reviews (too small, loud, etc.) but my 11-year old and I spent the past weekend there and it was really a fabulous hotel. It's a great location-- 15 minute walk to Battery Park, near great restaurants-- and has been in the midst of ongoing renovations. Our room was GREAT! Great Manhattan hotel with a subway right by the front door. We were lucky to get a corner room on the top floor so it was lovely and bright (yes there's only one, slow-ish elevator, but oh-well). Only complaint was time it took to get hot water, we timed 15 minutes once, which is a huge waste of (cold) water. Good restaurants near-by and a short walk to Soho...would stay again.

We had a room on the 7th floor - the room was tiny and no place really to store our luggage except for blocking the walkway in front of the beds. There were renovations in progress on the 2,3&4th floor and the outside of the building. This should have been mentioned when booking and we felt cheated due to this. The lift was SO slow - it probably took about 5 minutes just to get to the 7th floor. Due to the renovations the lift was unreliable as sometimes the lift was full due to some constructio... We just returned from our 10 year anniversary trip. This hotel was a great choice for us. Our room was recently renovated and very well done. The bed was a bit too saggy and the rain shower head makes rinsing long hair tricky but otherwise, this is a great spot. I have stayed at the Cosmopolitan for the past twenty years because it has always been so clean, which is of utmost importance to me. Keeping things simple and not too expensive is great. Good location, beside subway and a short walk from World Trade Center train station. Easy walking distance to many tourist sites. Conveniently located near good restaurants. A full grocery market with fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as freshly baked goods, is across the street.

Rooms not large, but good use of space. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Conveniently located near good restaurants Located in SoHo near Tribeca. Doesn't look like much from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the room. Lobby very plain.

Rooms are the smallest I've ever had anywhere in the world, but nice. Bathrooms are nice as well. There is no lobby and only one elevator. Due to the small size, every sound possible can be heard. Luckily, it's peaceful at night. I stayed on the top floor and the road noise was extremely distracting. Great restaurants very close by, quick walk down to the World Trade Center, next to no close shopping. Convenient coffee shops and pharmacy as well as right at subway entrances. Great for business, ... Read more

We selected this hotel because the subway entrance was close and it was in a good location. The room was the size of my closet at home... I felt highly mislead by the size of the room on the website. My boyfriend and I could hardly move around comfortably when changing. Thankfully we were only there to sleep and get ready for the day. I will say the room was extremely clean, including the bathroom. The only downside was the size.

Great location with the subway station of 3 main lines just outside the entrance. Very friendly staff. Room was decent size, brand new and very clean. Only issue was that one of the days our used shampoo and shower gel were not replaced and we had to leave a message for them to be replaced the next day. Elevator was very slow but it did work. Overall we had a great time without any major complaints.

I would highly recommend the Cosmopolitan. The service was warm and friendly. I was upgraded, and was made to feel very special. The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfy. Everything I wanted to see was within walking distance, or a short cab ride. Fabulous!

Great location, very friendly and attentive staff, clean room, very affordable for NYC. We would recommend this hotel to others who would like to experience the Tribeca area. Close to the waterfront and walking distance to Soho, Greenwich and Bryant Park.

I was in town for work and stayed at this hotel...I have never experienced such friendly caring staff. From the gent at the door helping me up the step to Joe who checked me in and later brought up my room service, they just never stopped trying to make me feel welcome. This hotel apparently is rather old as hallways, elevator and rooms are all rather small, but the amenities in my room were up to date. Bed was comfortable, TV state of the art, and I absolutely adored the map on the wall of t... Read more

2nd stay here. Quality of the renovated room is very nice. On 3rd floor this time facing Murray, but noise from traffic wasn't too bad at all. Only complaint is the bed. Felt kind of lumpy and I woke up several times because of it. Staff and location is excellent for the price. Will stay again.

It was a bit expensive for what we got. Wifi was just ok. When we got there we were welcomed by a very nice bellboy. The receptionists were not very nice and when we asked something they told us to use the computers. The location was perfect. A lot of different subway lines can be found around the hotel - going uptown or downtown. The room was very small with a window facing another building. This was not a problem as we knew the size when we booked the room. And really we didn't want to st... Read more

Myself and three friends stayed at this hotel over New Years Eve for two nights last year as we were attending a party within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms are extremely small- we had two double beds and it was very difficult for four people to get ready for a night out with such limited space. However, I guess this is to be expected in a lower Manhattan hotel. The rooms was very clean though and they provided plenty of towels and shower amenities for the four of us. The beds were als... Two of us spent 7 nights in this hotel. It's located in Tribeca, nice and safe part of town, with a lot of restaurants and cafes. My room was double, two queen bed, spacious and bright. Bathroom is very interesting, with map on the titles. Hotel is very clean, staff friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel for people who don't insist to be in the center of Manattan and who like walking.

Rooms OK but make sure you get one that is renovated. No coffee on location. Forget room service. Ensure you have a view of something besides a trash bin and ladders with in a sea of garbage. For the price, undervalued.

The Cosmopolitan is extremely well located to discover the area of lower Manhattan/Tribeca. Easy to reach on the Subway, the personnel was very friendly and competent. Like in most places in Manhattan, the room was a bit smallish, but clean and well equipped. It would have been lovely to have the opportunity to have breakfast at the hotel, but there are several caf├ęs/diners nearby.

OK yes the rooms are smaller than average but why are you in your hotel room in New York except to sleep ? Do you need a big room to sleep in? This hotel is a delightful secret set in the heart of Tribeca. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left this hotel was a delight, things I did not like: The room was small but I only slept in it No coffee or tea available in the room but Starbucks is next door and there are other options within 2 minutes walk ( The hotel advised me that this is...
