The location was excellent, The room was small but very adequate, The bathroom was sensational but needed a magnified mirror. The service was great. The convenience of an excellent restaurant off lobby was a plus, The major minus was the air conditioner. The fan was ancient and kept awake almost all night, A definite negative,

Very good location, close to Times Square and Central Park. Hotel is nice. There's an expensive restaurant that I didn't try. Rooms are simple, modern and clean. Most rooms have no view, except for those in the front (3 rooms per floor) but they are noisy on street side. No lobby to meet or relax. Nice place if you're not hanging out at the hotel.

We stayed at the City Club Hotel over seven nights celebrating my 50th Birthday with five family members. Our room was a family room for five, at the front of the hotel on the eighth floor, which was very clean and well furnished with a spacious bathroom. The one and only negative was the small wardrobe space, which for just two people would have been fine but a little small for five. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring and has everything you need by way of eateries and shopping all ar... Read more

I had the displeasure of "staying" at this hotel recently. Was looking for a deal for one night in Manhattan. Everything was expensive on May 17th, so based on the OK reviews of City Club Hotel, I booked 1 night at $730 including taxes. So, what do you get for $730? My room (Room 202) was a nasty dingy little thing next to the elevator. A curtain hangs in front of the "mini bar", the window has wooden shutters, no drapes. Dirty carpet... But, thats not the worst part. The mattress was sagging s... Read more

We booked relatively last minute on a "mystery" / locked-in booking website. The price was quite reasonable, but it was certainly under the advertised/posted rates. The location was excellent for those looking to stay in Manhattan. It was a very short walk to Times Square and the theaters nearby. There is certainly noise and bustle from the city, but from our room with the sliding doors closed, they did a reasonable job keeping the sound out. The room was slightly small for the North American ... Read more

City Club is located in a convenient spot just a block away from Times Square. We saw three shows while in New York and all were within a 10 minute walk. The room was quiet, comfortable, nicely decorated and the hotel staff were very helpful with our requests. Add-ons like breakfast are not cheap, but this is New York so that isn't unusual. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay close to Times Square in small hotel.

City Club Hotel is located less than a 10 minute walk to TKTS at Times Square. The hotel staff is superb: I use Expedia and I was given VIP upgrades, complimentary breakfasts, and free wifi. The rooms are spacious enough and well appointed to elegantly blend the old with the new. I stay in New York often, but this was the best in value, ambiance, quality, and location. If I can get the same rate, I will be back.

We booked into this hotel online and were ushered to our room where you could barely swing a cat. Not that we had a cat with us but you catch my drift. A quick word with the reception staff got us a room upgrade at a small cost and it was a much more spacious room. Many people will write about an irritating incident that happened on the night of June 21. At 2:00 or so, the fire alarm mal-functioned, and the staff took a long time to get the incessant siren turned off. As I checked out today, I heard one man say, in an annoyed voice, "Well, it was certainly inconvenient." Yesterday, a man yelled at the desk clerk for his three hours of sleep. I must not be very particular. Yes, the noise was inconvenient; and, yes, I got only four hours of sleep. A... Read more

I have stayed numerous times at the City Club Hotel over the years for business travel. Time has definitely taken its toll on the furniture and room interiors, and at this point the rooms could use some TLC, but overall the rooms are kept clean and fresh. I can't THANK enough the amazing staff City Club Hotel has. Starting with adorable JACOB who went above and beyond every day to make all the arrangements we needed my 4 children and me to make our holiday vacation memorable. John, Eddie D., Eddie V., Arissa, Allison, Marcus, Alain, Nick; made our stay warm and welcoming, always prompt to help and answer any questions we had. We were so happy with everything, the remodeled room clean and fresh, was spacious enough to accommodate us five, the bed... Read more

Staying here makes me feel like I am returning to my apartment in New York, but with all the advantages of being at a hotel. Very comfortable, clean, trendy furnishings and a bar/restaurant attached. Friendly, helpful service. Just don't expect a big lobby and lots of people coming in and out, this is a very intimate spot right next to the Algonquin on one side and the Harvard Club down the street. Close to metro and to Times Square, yet in our room on the inside of the hotel, no noise (even dur... Read more
