The location was excellent, The room was small but very adequate, The bathroom was sensational but needed a magnified mirror. The service was great. The convenience of an excellent restaurant off lobby was a plus, The major minus was the air conditioner. The fan was ancient and kept awake almost all night, A definite negative,

Very good location, close to Times Square and Central Park. Hotel is nice. There's an expensive restaurant that I didn't try. Rooms are simple, modern and clean. Most rooms have no view, except for those in the front (3 rooms per floor) but they are noisy on street side. No lobby to meet or relax. Nice place if you're not hanging out at the hotel.

Stayed at City Club with wife for business and pleasure. We found City Club to be neat and clean. The price was reasonable, The location was great. We were above a trendy restaurant which allowed us to put the dinner on the room.

We stayed at the City Club Hotel over seven nights celebrating my 50th Birthday with five family members. Our room was a family room for five, at the front of the hotel on the eighth floor, which was very clean and well furnished with a spacious bathroom. The one and only negative was the small wardrobe space, which for just two people would have been fine but a little small for five. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring and has everything you need by way of eateries and shopping all ar... Read more

I had the displeasure of "staying" at this hotel recently. Was looking for a deal for one night in Manhattan. Everything was expensive on May 17th, so based on the OK reviews of City Club Hotel, I booked 1 night at $730 including taxes. So, what do you get for $730? My room (Room 202) was a nasty dingy little thing next to the elevator. A curtain hangs in front of the "mini bar", the window has wooden shutters, no drapes. Dirty carpet... But, thats not the worst part. The mattress was sagging s... Read more

We booked relatively last minute on a "mystery" / locked-in booking website. The price was quite reasonable, but it was certainly under the advertised/posted rates. The location was excellent for those looking to stay in Manhattan. It was a very short walk to Times Square and the theaters nearby. There is certainly noise and bustle from the city, but from our room with the sliding doors closed, they did a reasonable job keeping the sound out. The room was slightly small for the North American ... Read more

City Club is located in a convenient spot just a block away from Times Square. We saw three shows while in New York and all were within a 10 minute walk. The room was quiet, comfortable, nicely decorated and the hotel staff were very helpful with our requests. Add-ons like breakfast are not cheap, but this is New York so that isn't unusual. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay close to Times Square in small hotel.

We enjoyed the hotel for 4 nights. Service is good, stuff are smiling, everywere clean and tidy. In house resturant. Reasonable prices. 6 minutes from Times square, safe area to walk at night. Enjoyed the very close transportation ( underground, open bus, taxis etc.)

City Club Hotel is located less than a 10 minute walk to TKTS at Times Square. The hotel staff is superb: I use Expedia and I was given VIP upgrades, complimentary breakfasts, and free wifi. The rooms are spacious enough and well appointed to elegantly blend the old with the new. I stay in New York often, but this was the best in value, ambiance, quality, and location. If I can get the same rate, I will be back.

Stayed at the Club City Hotel for 5 nights in early June 2016, staff extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful and price was good for the great location just 5 mins from Times Square. Lifts dark and need a quick makeover, very dark but acceptable as only in then for a few minutes at a time. Room was very small and looked onto another building, could see no daylight at all and decor could have done with some work. Bed was comfortable but small, bed linen was a strange affair that consisted of she... Read more

We stayed there twice over the course of one week (I was on a Business trip nearby NYC) and although never been to NYC it felt home right away: very nice and helpful staff, excellent rooms and perfect location. Highly recommendable.

We booked into this hotel online and were ushered to our room where you could barely swing a cat. Not that we had a cat with us but you catch my drift. A quick word with the reception staff got us a room upgrade at a small cost and it was a much more spacious room. Very comfortable, clean, well kept, with all the extras in the bathroom and bar provided for. Maybe I'm not used to sleeping with an AC switched on so I found the one in the room seriously loud. I'm a light sleeper so the slightest ... Read more

Many people will write about an irritating incident that happened on the night of June 21. At 2:00 or so, the fire alarm mal-functioned, and the staff took a long time to get the incessant siren turned off. As I checked out today, I heard one man say, in an annoyed voice, "Well, it was certainly inconvenient." Yesterday, a man yelled at the desk clerk for his three hours of sleep. I must not be very particular. Yes, the noise was inconvenient; and, yes, I got only four hours of sleep. A... Read more

We recently stayed at City Club Hotel in New York. The room was large and shower was huge with plenty of pressure and hot water. I was particularly impressed by the folks who worked at the front desk. James, John, Keith Rob and Marcus were always helpful and kind. My deepest thanks goes to James who got us a car when we were running late to see Wicked. Because of his help, we got to the theatre with time to spare!

What I love about this hotel is the friendly folks, who truly make you feel like you are visiting a private club. The rooms are always neat and tidy; and while yes, they are small...that's NYC. The entire hotel has a nice intimate feel; the neighborhood is great to walk around...grab a bite to eat. And it's really close to Times Square/the Theater district, without having the horrible noise and crowds. I stay there both on business and for pleasure. Most recently was a combined business/p... We stayed in a King Luxe Room. The size of the room including the bathroom was perfect. Everything in the room was comfortable -especially the bed- and clean. The location is also very convenient, in a walking distance from Times Square but there was no noise in the hotel, therefore we had really pleasant nights. The staff at the reception is also very helpful with anything we needed.

It was a cosy hotel in a great location. You would walk one direction then you would be at Times Square , walk the opposite direction then you would be at fifth avenue. It wasn't noisy and the staff were really nice and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was quite comfortable.
