Although I lived in NYC for many years and travel there frequently, I don't have a "go to" hotel. The Archer is great. Rooms are tiny, but they have everything you need. Surprisingly quiet being in mid-town. The service is friendly and super attentive. I don't like the lobby and line outside for the roof top bar, but you can really avoid all that. Didn't try the David Burke restaurant, but people seem to like it. Know that there isn't a gym in house by the NYSC is kitty corner and does th... Read more

I am very satisfied with our choice, kudos to Seiku and Troy who booked our rooms and Marchely for smiling from the corner....and Anthony the concierge for helping out with an item we left behind after we left. We had planned a get together for a friend coming over from Italy and wanted a great accomodation in the city keeping an eye on the budget. Although it was only one night right from the start we felt welcomed by the staff at the reception. The rooms originally didn't offer a view of the ... Read more

This was a 1st time in NYC for both my partner (Tracey) and myself (Ash). We booked through Kuoni in the UK, they listened to our requirements and came up with this absolute gem of a hotel! From Renee at front of house to Sal (engineering), who helped plan our trips on the subway, they made our 5 day stay in Manhattan an absolute pleasure. From arrival and our bags being taken from the taxi to the minute we left, we felt that we were the only guests in the hotel (obviously we weren't). Paul /... Read more

We had such a great time staying at the Archer Hotel, I keep telling everyone I know to stay there. Incredibly clean and luxurious, our needs were well catered for, the staff were great and we absolutely loved our room. I'm never convinced entirely by pictures online when looking at hotels, but after thoroughly researching for our trip, I'm glad I chose to stay here. Despite being a little on the small side, the room had everything you could possibly need and was very well appointed. It didn't... Read more

Great location within walking distance of Times Square and a superb view (recommend spending a little more for the Empire view). Staff was so nice and polite, and genuinely seemed happy to help. Room was intimate, but it never felt crowded and there was plenty of storage space. The bed was quite comfortable and we never heard any outside noise. Very modern and clean bathroom. Love this hotel! The staff is courteous and helpful, the rooms - though small - are big on style and comfort and the views are GORGEOUS!!! Each night you receive turn down service which includes the thoughtful touch of a sweet treat like goodies from Dylan's Candy Bar. fantastic location, great deco & mood, compact & clean rooms however, the room was rather tiny, ok for my stay because i was my own, would be tricky if I had come with a partner tried out their restaurant, too. food was good. the portion was big. i ordered 2 dishes which was clearly too much for just myself. would've been better if the waitress had let me know about the portions as i ordered, so that i wouldn't end up wasting everything.

The rooms are smaller than other cities but on par for NYC. The storage for luggage is actually under the bed. The bedding (most important to me) is GREAT! The service is exemplary! Food in the restaurant is good. I don't think one can go wrong by staying a few nights here.

From the moment we walked through the front door, we knew we'd picked the right hotel for us. From day one the staff were friendly and helpful. The receptionist advised us the room was an "intimate" size, which made me think it would be small, but in actuality it was perfect, with ample storage and amenities. What I really liked about Archer was the little touches, such as freshly made treats handed out daily with the turn down service, the nespresso machine in the room and the quirky slippers a... Despite a rather small room (even by NYC standards), the service was excellent. From the concierge, Anthony, to all of the staff at the reception desk, they went above and beyond to make my trip very special. The location is perfect for walking to the theatre, relaxing in Bryant Park and taking the metro to many other destinations! I stayed at the archer hotel for a couple of nights in the middle of june 2016. I had booked the room through travel republic and when we arrived it was simple and easy. Upon arrival we checked in and made our way over to the elevator. We did have to take our own bags to our room which we felt was a little unusual for an up market hotel. This hotel has a great location, decor and ambiance along with an onsite David Burke restaurant - but what really sets it above most (all?) others is its amazingly trained staff and the service and attention they focus on you. Loved the ambiance of this hotel. The rooms were nice but very, very small. That would be my only complaint about this hotel. The location was wonderful, and we loved the front outside seating area. We sat out and had dessert one evening and it was really nice.

The hotel was very nice, clean and trendy environment. It was very close to the mid town shopping and subway. The rooms were quite small, but its Manhattan. Loved that there is a rooftop bar that has an amazing view

Truly enjoyed the hotel and hospitality of services. Very clean. Rooms are small but bedding is the most comfortable away from home ever. However the valet parking left damage to our car when parking. Notice it upon check out. It made a great night experience a bit sour on our way to our next destination.

First visit to New York, Mr. Evan Rogers - thank you so much for the room upgrade, I initially booked a regular King room but he was amazing to upgrade it at my request to an Empire State view on the 21st floor for my first time in the city! No problems with any outside noise as the windows cancel out almost all sound from the street. Very comfortable bed, modern decor, great location, turndown service with chocolate (yes please). Everyone I dealt with was wonderful and so helpful, even giving m... Read more

My stay at the Archer Hotel was great. The room and hotel were very clean, and the staff is very friendly. The hotel is in a perfect location: walking distance to Times Square, shopping, tourist destinations, Central park and still within walking distance to Chelsea. I would return to the hotel for business or pleasure.

Archer Hotel is not only beautiful inside and outside with its contemporary decor, but it is probably one of the best New York hotels I have stayed in thus far. Staff are so friendly and eager to help in any way they can. The beds are so comfortable and the room is perfectly equipped with everything you could need including house coat, slippers, coffee, tea etc.. The rooftop bar makes for a wonderful evening with an outstanding view and great music. The David Fabrick restaurant was also one of m... Read more

Nicely done boutique hotel - felt cozy and upscale, not corporate at all. The bed was very comfortable. The room was small, but that is NYC. They made good use of the limited space with a sliding bathroom door and under bed storage. There was a lot of attention to detail throughout the property - the staff was very attentive as well. The caramels and little macaroons left by our bedside were also a nice touch. Enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again.

From our arrival hours before our room was available, we had this.... * Bags stored without fuss, pre-checkin done. * Actual check-in smooth and friendly * Great room, larger bathroom than expected, robes and slippers provided. * Spyglass rooftop bar, quick drink before out for dinner, welcomed personally by Joe the manager who then reserved a table for us for our return later that evening with the view of the Empire State. * Turn down service and lovely choc gifts each evening * Excellent maid ... Had the pleasure of staying here for our six night stay in New York. Staff were always helpful and polite. Rooms were clean bed was so comfortable. We had s few drinks in the Fabrick Bar each night and were lucky to meet two amazing girls working behind the bar. Kyra and Chelsea were one of the highlights of our trip. Great tips on how to do New York and just great ladies to talk to. Absolute top hotel and highly recommend if your coming here

My husband and I and our friends stayed at the Archer Hotel in early July. What a great hotel! It's very conveniently located in the Garment District, just around the corner from Bryant Park. The rooms are nicely appointed -- small, but that's very much the norm for NYC. The hotel staff could not have been nicer, and even offered to help me get a birthday gift for someone in our party. The view from the rooftop bar is lovely and breakfast in the fabrick restaurant was good. The complimenta... Read more

We are overly satisfied with The Archer and the services they provided. From the handwritten birthday card, cake, and champagne for my husband, to the cleanliness of the room, to the professionalism of the staff-The Archer Hotel has become a landmark for us in New York. The rooms are a little tight, but that's not a problem. The sweets they bring up during turn-down service, the cute house slippers they give, and the overall experience makes up for any negative the room size may bring.

Archer Hotel was a pleasant surprise. Well located, 2 years old, friendly staff, good restaurant, and brilliant rooftop bar. Room small for 3 adults, not enough storage and no bedside light/table for 1 person, but very nice room with excellent bathroom and spacious shower. I will be back.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic- from the view from our room to the wonderful staff, we couldn't fault this place. Excellent location! 10 minute walk to Broadway, Macy's and other shops. Subway stops also close by. We requested a room with a view and were put on the top floor. The room was modern, had a spacious bathroom and the king bed was sooooooo comfy! The room also had a Nespresso coffee machine and the pods were restocked daily. The rooftop bar had amazing views of the Empire State ... Read more

Although the room was small, it was well designed and the floor to ceiling windows made the room feel much bigger. There are complimentary slippers and cosy robes to relax in. I stay here for business trips & always have a great stay. Very comfortable beds! Some of the rooms are small but it is Midtown Manhattan so it is expected. The staff is extremely hospitable. I am there so frequently that they know my last name. It is a small gesture but I appreciate it & makes me feel at home in the hotel. As a head's up there is no gym in the hotel. I have stayed at dozens of hotels in NYC over the last 20 years. I try not to stay in the major chains, as in general they lack a hip vibe and unique character. Most all of places I stay are quality spots with good reviews and worth a repeat stay. This past weekend my wife and I stayed at The Archer on West 38th based in a recommendation from a friend. What a place it was. Very cool room (a little small, but not unacceptable.). The restaurant was casual with GREAT food. The roof top bar wa... Read more

November 2014 - For the price rooms could be a bit bigger, not that much space for luggage, or to move around, but most places in crowded NYC are like this. Taking this apart room was pretty clean, beautifully set. Amenities in the bathroom were great. Location is excellent, couple of blocks to the nearest subway station. Pretty close to the beautiful Bryant Park. Walking distance to Fifth Av. and all it's stores. Not that far to Times Square and pretty nice to walk there and watch a play in th... Read more

This is simply a great hotel. Its modern ,stylish and the service is excellent. We were 3 people in a twin room for a special birthday celebration. The air-conditioned room was spotlessly clean and kept that way during our stay. Things I want: hip, style, energy, and the overall feeling of "Ahhhh! it feels good here!" I booked the Archer Hotel for a 12 day stay for Fashion Week, (Also UN assembly AND the US Open) No question NYC was BUSY but not once did that outside energy translate to any area of service at the ARCHER.
