Although I lived in NYC for many years and travel there frequently, I don't have a "go to" hotel. The Archer is great. Rooms are tiny, but they have everything you need. Surprisingly quiet being in mid-town. The service is friendly and super attentive. I don't like the lobby and line outside for the roof top bar, but you can really avoid all that. Didn't try the David Burke restaurant, but people seem to like it. Know that there isn't a gym in house by the NYSC is kitty corner and does th... Read more

I am very satisfied with our choice, kudos to Seiku and Troy who booked our rooms and Marchely for smiling from the corner....and Anthony the concierge for helping out with an item we left behind after we left. We had planned a get together for a friend coming over from Italy and wanted a great accomodation in the city keeping an eye on the budget. Although it was only one night right from the start we felt welcomed by the staff at the reception. The rooms originally didn't offer a view of the ... Read more

This was a 1st time in NYC for both my partner (Tracey) and myself (Ash). We booked through Kuoni in the UK, they listened to our requirements and came up with this absolute gem of a hotel! From Renee at front of house to Sal (engineering), who helped plan our trips on the subway, they made our 5 day stay in Manhattan an absolute pleasure. From arrival and our bags being taken from the taxi to the minute we left, we felt that we were the only guests in the hotel (obviously we weren't). Paul /... Read more

We had such a great time staying at the Archer Hotel, I keep telling everyone I know to stay there. Incredibly clean and luxurious, our needs were well catered for, the staff were great and we absolutely loved our room. I'm never convinced entirely by pictures online when looking at hotels, but after thoroughly researching for our trip, I'm glad I chose to stay here. Despite being a little on the small side, the room had everything you could possibly need and was very well appointed. It didn't... Read more

Great location within walking distance of Times Square and a superb view (recommend spending a little more for the Empire view). Staff was so nice and polite, and genuinely seemed happy to help. Room was intimate, but it never felt crowded and there was plenty of storage space. The bed was quite comfortable and we never heard any outside noise. Very modern and clean bathroom. Love this hotel! The staff is courteous and helpful, the rooms - though small - are big on style and comfort and the views are GORGEOUS!!! Each night you receive turn down service which includes the thoughtful touch of a sweet treat like goodies from Dylan's Candy Bar. fantastic location, great deco & mood, compact & clean rooms however, the room was rather tiny, ok for my stay because i was my own, would be tricky if I had come with a partner tried out their restaurant, too. food was good. the portion was big. i ordered 2 dishes which was clearly too much for just myself. would've been better if the waitress had let me know about the portions as i ordered, so that i wouldn't end up wasting everything.

The rooms are smaller than other cities but on par for NYC. The storage for luggage is actually under the bed. The bedding (most important to me) is GREAT! The service is exemplary! Food in the restaurant is good. I don't think one can go wrong by staying a few nights here.

From the moment we walked through the front door, we knew we'd picked the right hotel for us. From day one the staff were friendly and helpful. The receptionist advised us the room was an "intimate" size, which made me think it would be small, but in actuality it was perfect, with ample storage and amenities. Despite a rather small room (even by NYC standards), the service was excellent. From the concierge, Anthony, to all of the staff at the reception desk, they went above and beyond to make my trip very special. The location is perfect for walking to the theatre, relaxing in Bryant Park and taking the metro to many other destinations! I stayed at the archer hotel for a couple of nights in the middle of june 2016. I had booked the room through travel republic and when we arrived it was simple and easy. Upon arrival we checked in and made our way over to the elevator. We did have to take our own bags to our room which we felt was a little unusual for an up market hotel. This hotel has a great location, decor and ambiance along with an onsite David Burke restaurant - but what really sets it above most (all?) others is its amazingly trained staff and the service and attention they focus on you. Nicely done boutique hotel - felt cozy and upscale, not corporate at all. The bed was very comfortable. The room was small, but that is NYC. They made good use of the limited space with a sliding bathroom door and under bed storage. There was a lot of attention to detail throughout the property - the staff was very attentive as well. We are overly satisfied with The Archer and the services they provided. From the handwritten birthday card, cake, and champagne for my husband, to the cleanliness of the room, to the professionalism of the staff-The Archer Hotel has become a landmark for us in New York. The rooms are a little tight, but that's not a problem. The sweets they bring up during turn-down service, the cute house slippers they give, and the overall experience makes up for any negative the room size may bring.

The downside, our room is smaller than any cruise ship accommodation; the bathroom light is automatically activated at full throttle so forget any attempt to engage in a 3:00am pee without awaking your significant other; storage is well, they say intimate, I say insufficient; the hvac manages to vent directly onto you in the bed (and yes now I have the sniffles) a... The Archer is an excellent choice for either a solo trip or for a couple. The rooms are exceptionally well thought out and provide a very comfortable stay. I disagree with other reviews that the rooms are too small. They are sized similarly to many hotels in the city. The fine room design sets the Archer apart. The hotel staff is well trained, professional and friendly and all the public spaces are well maintained. The restaurant design is beautiful as well. Well done!

I found this hotel through a popular travel website. I must admit, the hip and cool pictures drew me in, but after visiting, I can assure you that the pictures don't come close to how cool it looks in person. The fairly new hotel has all the feel of a historical NYC building. We were impressed with the decor from the moment we walked in. The entire hotel staff was professional and kind. They were always willing to help, from check in to check out. The nuts and bolts: It's located in Mid... Read more

Stayed 4 nights in a standard room. Compact, as advertised, but comfy, clean and beautifully decorated. Had all the amenities we required - safe, hair dryer, nice toiletries etc, plus bedtime treats! Great rooftop bar (if a little over-zealous on the ID - we're both well over 40). Expensive, but New York is, and current exchange rate doesn't help. Staff friendly. Ate in restaurant once - nice meal, good service. Would definitely use again.

We absolutely loved staying at Archer! It is exquisitely designed, and everyone was so kind and welcoming and eager to help from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. I never felt like I was putting anyone out by asking for water, directions, a taxi, anything! The rooms are very tiny- perfect for one person... a bit cramped for two, but I knew this going into it. We made it work! The bathrooms were very clean, and they even provide luxury soaps. We will definitely stay at Archer if we ... Read more

We stayed at the Archer Hotel end of October/November 2015 for 10 nights. This was my present for my 40th birthday from my wife and we found our stay to be excellent from the moment we checked in. This is a boutique hotel and we were not expecting to find a large room in New York, but the room size was fine and had everything you needed. Very comfy bed, great shower. Great location to 5th avenue and Time Square. All in all a perfect first visit to New York and hopefully not our last. We would ... Read more

The Archer hotel is a great location in midtown NY, and close to the subway, Times Square, and the Empire State Building. The room was small but comfortable, and very stylish. The service was superb, and the Archer Host, Yomaries, provided one of the best customer service experiences of my life. The only downside was the food - I thought the restaurant had a weird selection of bland, tasteless food. Room service was poor, and was delivered late in the morning 3 times, and with the wrong items. T... Read more

I've stayed in NYC before and would not hesitate to stay at the Archer when I return again...:) From our greeting upon arrival, right up to breathtaking view at the rooftop bar, thank you for helping to make my sister's 40th one to remember for a lifetime! A great location between fifth and sixth avenues made it easy to get to both uptown and downtown by foot or cab; the room was very comfy but what really made the stay exceptional was the food, which was outstanding. The rooftop bar is also great, with a stunning view of the Empire State building lit up at night. Staff were extremely helpful and always available. This was my fifth business trip to NYC in the last 18 months, and Archer was my favourite hotel so far.

The Archer is a great location for a NYC break. The rooms are very small and tight but well designed to maximise the limited space. Service was very good and helpful. My partner had a birthday cake delivered to the room... which was a nice touch. Breakfast is expensive but of a good standard. The roof bar is very cool with great views of ESB.... all in a very good hotel. Thanks
