Good looking hotel, with a nice atmosphere when checking in and a suberb italian restaurant. the room I got was quite small and very noisy. I could hear the traffic all night, as af I was next to the cars making all these noises ... I mentioned this when checking out, but I was not impressed by the reaction on this item ... they should have heard this before (I normally never have trouble from outside noise) Wife was complimentary and perfect.

I met someone staying there for food and drinks in the restaurant Marta. The place was hopping so I suggest getting reservation. We were lucky and able to secure a small table in the bar area which was great. We had wine, croquettes and pizza which were fabulous. I rate this top-notch! My co-worker did mention the rooms were on the small size but expected for NY.

Our family recently stayed at the Redbury in Hollywood and loved it so when we heard they were opening in NY we decided to try it out for a long weekend. Room was spacious, hotel is newly renovated and location was excellent. Staff at the front desk and bellman were very friendly and attentive. Wonderful restaurant we tried it for breakfast and lunch and enjoyed it very much. Decor is chic and hip- less bohemian than the LA property but very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

I have just returned from a six day business trip to New York City and decided on The Redbury as my hotel of choice this time around as got a really good deal - better than some 3* hotels. Check in was quick and easy by Sam, my room was 825 on the 8th floor - right opposite the lift (next time I will avoid rooms opposite the lift as guests tend to be noisy and you hear everything!). I had read reviews saying the rooms were tiny, the halls smelt, the air con was noisy, there was no where to store your clothes never mind any shopping you brought back and I can confirm that NONE of this applied for the room we were given which was on the 6th floor. We had booked a room for five people for eight nights. When we arrived to the hotel we were told that the big room wasn't available and we would get two smaller rooms instead, one with extra bed. The rooms were really tiny, and especially the room with the extra bed was really narrow and we could barely move around. We arrived at the Redbury on 11th June for a 4 night stay. We walked from Penn station which took around 15 minutes. On arrival the entrance to the hotel had lots of scaffolding and was quite dark but once inside the lobby oozed appeal. Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with two rooms together with my parents. Welcomed by the porter, who really took an effort for his guests. I have spent three days at the Redbury, The hotel has an outstanding personality. Location is perfect either for business or leisure. I am pretty often in NYC and June is always a busy months for hotels, so it is not easy to find good deals. Prices at the Redbury are in my opinion a little higher for what I have seen. Stayed here for 4 days in June 2016. As a first time visitor to NYC, I was delighted with the hotel. It was ideally situated, only 2 minutes from The Empire State Building and was comfortable and clean. Room was really quiet which was amazing given the busy restaurant on the ground floor. This is not a luxury hotel but it's upscale with a professional staff. The location is decent and not so Manhattan-crazy. This hotel is historic and a bit different than giant chain hotels, so you'd enter the hotel right by the restaurant on the ground floor for instance with a small lobby. I asked a friend for a recommendation for a place to stay while I was in New York, and he gave me the name of the Redbury. My dad had a meeting at the NYU Medical School and so I chose the Redbury so he could walk to the meetings, and my mom could walk to my apartment 7 blocks away. I went to the hotel when they were on their way in from the airport and ask the front desk if they could be put in a room on the highest floor available. Stay here for 2 nights, room only. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a good sizes for a city centre location. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms was clean and fresh. The single room was small, but not uncomfortable - had all the amenities you would expect for a boutique hotel. I knew that the rooms were going to be small, but they were much smaller than I had expected. I could quite literally not have swung a cat in the room. Moreover, the furniture in the room was extremely dated and close to being quite grimy. Not everything has been renovated. The room we stayed in had cockroaches come out at night, we caught one and showed to the manager as we where packing our bags . The manager refused to credit the room cost for the night, didn't help us find a hotel, promised that he would pay cab fare to a new hotel that we found on our own, and stiffed the driver. Others complained of rate changes and bus as well, stay at your own risk, management no help.

I paid $350 per night for a King suite which turned out to be 2 small adjoining rooms with the door open. I think I was conned. The hotel is definitely in need of refurbishing and brightening up. The breakfast coupons, reluctantly given, we're valued at $18 in the restaurant owned by a chain. The poor choices did not cover the breakfast and a coffee and you had to pay the difference and leave a tip! Look for another hotel

This hotel could not have been better located! We had everything within walking distance: couple of subway stations, starbucks around the corner, pharmacy, all sorts of food. It was awesome. We never had any issue with service or anything and the price was awesome. We would def go back and stay there on our next NYC stay.

The room was incredibly loud. My confirmation clearly stated checkin time was 12:00 pm, however I was charged a $50 early check in fee after departure!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was not a good experience at all.

I'm giving this hotel 2 stars because of the way they jack up their price by $28 per day and only inform you at checkin. The advertised room rate during my stay was $170 per night excluding taxes. However in addition to taxes, they also add on an extra $28 per day as a "facility charge" for things that I won't ever use. Rooms are very average. Going for a chic vibe but falls short of gansevoort, the dream, the standard, etc. I was a late check-in and checked into a room with 2 twin-size beds. They wouldn't change my room the night of, and I felt I received poor service the next day when I asked for my room to be changed. Looked good online, got emails prior to arriving but very disappointing experience. Day rate was way above what was advertised and ended up £230 a night. No wifi in room, had to go to ground floor, view was of office block windows and the minibar was extortionate prices. Rooms are ok when refurbished but some Can be small and noisy. Aim for the deluxe type as a minimum. Restaurant serves pizza and you would require a reservation. Neighborhood is ok with Madison park nearby. Book in advanced for better rates.

Hotel was what i expected comfy beds, would stay here again, the only problem we had is we couldn't get a coffee first thing in the morning, i would defo recommend going to top of the rock, one world traded centre, empire state building, and the bike ride around central park... I booked two back-to-back one night reservations at The Redbury New York. I was excited to stay at the hotel given the trendy vibe and new ownership. I made my reservation on Hotwire where there was no reference at all to a $28 plus tax service fee per night. The concierge Alexandra was very helpful and the staff were lovely as they left us a bottle of veuve and freshly baked treats as we were on our honeymoon. We arrived at midnight after getting kicked out of the apartment we had rented nearby due to a misunderstanding. Shelley took care of us and set us up with the best room she could find for the best price. It is very well located, the Empire State is close and almost everything is. The rooms are nice and clean but a little bit small. It is a little bit pricey for young people but if you can pay for it, it's totally worth it. I would definetely go back again!

Very nice hotel. Near ESB. What make the difference ? The staff. Even at 2 am they are going the extra mile to make you happy. I had to change room at 2 am and Shelley made it all possible with a wonderful smile all the time. I recommand all the way.
