I suppose I need to ask the clerk every time I check in if my room has a bathtub? That seems to happen in New York mostly. After a hard day, I want the option. Otherwise, this hotels location next to JFK is perfect. I asked about walking to nearby restaurants and the driver said there weren't any. Then I asked if he would rive me to one, and he said they don't do that. Stuck eating there, had a chef salad and enjoyed it. Fresh mixed greens and I have to say it was good. As airport hotels go, this was a very good one. The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and welcoming, and the rest of the staff were great, too. Even the various people I met in the elevator seemed to be in a good mood. I had a junior suite for the night. It was huge, with a large desk work area and plenty of storage. The bathroom wasn't huge, but it was newly remodeled and the shower itself was large with HOT water and good pressure. The decor was sort of like what people in the 196... Read more

This hotel is comfortable and convenient to the airport, amenities were good and the room was clean and decent. Sadly there was a definite general rudeness from a lot of the staff, which left us feeling less than satisfied with our stay. Several staff members were short, rude or generally unfriendly when we spoke to them, which was a shame. We expected more customer service from a hotel of this quality.

I spent a weekend here when I came to NYC for a conference. The location is convenient, right off the highway, and off the airport. The hotel itself was Ok. Not bad, but not good either. Everything was clean, relatively new, and reception was pleasant, and I had no issues with staff.

The location from airport was very convenient, as well as to the event. During our stay one of our guests became seriously ill and had to be rushed to hospital, and the staff was calm and efficient, making sure that she received the immediate medical attention. Thank you staff. The breakfast was really great. I would recommend this hotel.

8 minutes drive from the airport on the free shuttle for departures. For arrivals we had a ten minute journey by train and then the shuttle bus which we had to wait for an hour to arrive after numerous calls. Mix up with booking was sorted very well by staff. Rooms are basic and very small

I only stayed here for less than twelve hours (between a late night arrival and a red-eye out the next morning). The shuttle service was cheap and effective. I thought the room rate was a bit high, but I also expect a higher than average price in or around NYC. My room was decorated in a very modern fashion, but not necessarily to my preference (it reminded me of a room at the Madrid Melia Princesa Hotel). Design aside, which shouldn't be the deciding factor as to whether or not to stay in a... Read more

We were put up here by the airline when we missed our flight home, so I can't complain about the price. But our room was very shabby, and the shower leaked all over the bathroom. Was also unhappy that to get to our hallway, you had to go up some stairs, which meant you couldn't use a luggage cart - very poor design. The shuttle here is awesome. It is constantly running and we never waited more than a couple minutes. We used the shuttle to and from the airport, but the shuttle pick up zone is at the Federal Circle AirTrain stop, so we took the shuttle to and from there so we could take the AirTrain to the subway, which saved us quite a few dollars. From there it was super easy to get downtown. Otherwise, I hated this hotel. Despite it being July and 90 degrees in NY, I don't think they have the air on at the... Read more

Good hotel with friendly staff if you plan on passing by the JFK airport. Hotel is mainly used by air crews. Rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. Good beds that could use better sheets. If you are in town for visiting NYC, go somewhere else closer to downtown. There is a 40' minimum commute time from the Crowne plaza to Manhattan.

This hotel was offered by Delta due to late night flight cancellation. Outlook of hotel and lobby was nice. Stayed on the same floor as the lobby. Issues was that the A/C was faulty, and would switch off by itself unless use Auto. Requests for complementary water was not fulfilled. Staff were ok but seemed uninterested, and should smile more. We stayed here for a night prior to flying out of JFK. Lots of renovation going on in the restaurant area. However, the food was really good and the service was top notch despite the tile cutting in the background. The room was small but clean. Take the free AirTrain to Federal Circle and follow signs to Hotel Shuttles. Crowne Plaza's (purplish-red) runs every 15-30 mins depending on time of day. Radisson's shuttle runs next door if you get desperate.

The location ,room and reception was of a standard expected for a 1 night stay at airports. We pre-paid our rooms. Money for 1 of 2 rooms booked was taken from my wife's credit card. When I phoned the hotel the money was refunded. However a minor loss through bank charges for USD /GBP currency exchange occurred. I followed the IHG complaints procedure which worked well from the UK to the hotel and asked for feedback about how the IHG system can breakdown and for a refund of USD 7. A Kristen B W... Read more

I've stayed at this hotel several times in the last couple months for business. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and well kept. Twenty four hour airport shuttle. Fifteen-minute shuttle to JFK from 05:00 to 10:00 which is nice (and unusual). Shuttle on the hour and half hour the balance of the day. Really no close-by options for outside food but the restaurant in the hotel is very good. Nice bar area. I've stayed on both sides of the hotel. There's a highway to one side but the soun... My husband and I stayed in this hotel just for one night as our flight was postponed. The location is close to the JFK and the hotel offers free shuttle buses from Federal Circle station if one comes from the city by train (it takes half an hours to 40 min by train to downtown Manhattan). Also the hotel offers free shuttle buses to the JFK terminals. Rooms are spacious and clean. Dinner and breakfast were really fine, classic buffet.

I reserved a room at the above mentioned hotel for one night as I was leaving JFK early the next morning. This was the 13th of November. I reserved the room on Expedia and paid online in full. I arrived at the hotel and during the check in procedure I was asked for a credit card. I produced the card that the reservation was made with thinking that the card was being taken just for incidental costs which might be incurred overnight as I had already paid for the room online. I was told that the ca... Read more

I had breakfast on Nov 20, 2016. The dining room was very nice and clean. Food was delicious and my server was superb. His name was Dulal and he was great. He was very polite and punctual. He came to our table to check on us at least four times during our meal. Once when he served the food, then he offered us coffee and justice twice and at the end he made sure that we are happy. I would really recommend this place to my friends.
