"The hotel was nice, with a great bed. The location was perfect, and would stay again based on this alone. The only negative is the dim lighting in the room and bathroom, which made applying makeup difficult. The Indian restaurant (nirvana) right across from it was the best food in New York! "

"This hotel was great for the price (for Manhatten). The staff was very helpful, took care of our luggage after we checked out until we left town, valet parked our car and returned it promptly as promised, even gave me a phone number to call ahead so the car would be ready. The location was very convenient for our appointment, ten to twenty minute walk to Bryant Park, Times Square and Grand Central. The room was small, and the bathroom could use a counter instead of a pedestal sink, but otherwise very comfortable."

"The first picture you see when booking this hotel is a picture of a rooftop terrace, this is very misleading as it belngs to a certain room and you can not go to the roof-terrace as the picture suggests. The rooms are not quiet; the walls are very thin, we even heard the elevator 'bing-bong' all night! Upon checking out (at 6am when we weren't quite awake yet!) we were asked our room number, when we were'nt sure about it we got a 'huff' from the recpetionist! We had rips in both the duvet cover and bedsheet - not what I'd expect from a 4 star hotel.The only good point about this hotel was the location; 2 min walk to public library, 10 minutes from Times Square and 20 minutes from Central Park."

"This establishment proved to be beyond our expectations throughout our stay. 1st time in NYC...cannot get over how 'home-y' this place made us feel. Staff and amenities were excellent. We stayed in the Executive Junior Suite. It was fabulous. Would've stayed longer, if we could. 10-15 minute walk to many of our destinations. Definately would return. Thank you so much; the excellent staff in the restaurant. They are the 'definition' of customer service. I gave them a 4 for cleanliness, only because it is a hotel...not sure if I would give any hotel a 5. It was very well appointed."

"We had a Deluxe King room. Not much view but that didn't matter as we were hardly in the room anyway. I enjoyed my stay here. Very convenient and the staff was very helpful. The air conditioning was a bit noisy in the room but I had no problem sleeping as the bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The price I got on Bookit was great too! I have no complaints and was pleased with the room and the price!"

"Had a great 6days/5night stay in the Big Apple. The St Giles upgraded our stay to the top floor as well as in an interior room (no street noise). Used their passes to a health club nearby. Hotel is close to Grand Central Station so getting around is easy. Staff were great, very friendly and most helpful. Only complaint would be their bar area and set-up - needs to be upgraded.
Great dollar Value for a 4 star hotel."

"The one issue we had is that our washcloth kept disappearing from the bathroom. Day one we didn't have one so I went to the drugstore and purchased one, day two they took mine and left two more, day three one of the the two disappeared, day fourth I put out the do not disturb sign so the last one wouldn't disappear. Everything else was great. Location is excellent, staff is wonderful, clean room and hotel. Very nice, we enjoyed our stay and the trip to New York."

"We traveled to NYC during May. We were very pleased with our accommodations. The hotel staff were very friendly and willing to assist us with all of our tourist questions. We arrived very early before check-in so the staff held our luggage so we could begin sight seeing. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had a corner room on the 10th floor which provided us with a great view of the city. We also had a walk in closet which was great since we had alot of luggage. The hotel is in a great location. It's three blocks from Grand Central Station which made it very easy to take the subway daily to our destination. It's also three blocks from 5th Ave and walking distance to Central Park and Empire State Building. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is wanting a clean,spacious room along with a great location and friendly staff. I plan to stay there again on my next trip to NYC!!"
