I visited Times Square, NY with my family during Memorial day weekend. I had made a mistake in selecting dates on the prepaid reservation. When we showed up at the hotel their record showed that we were supposed to be checking in next day. They did not show any vacancies for us. Very friendly staff members worked through their system and super friendly manager - Mr. Maurice- adjusted our charges and found two rooms for us and accommodated us in the hotel! Great location, clean and sort of Euro in design...Furniture has clean lines. This is a new hotel, located right mid town. Close to everything there. Loved everything about it with one exception...only one washcloth. Now, of itself that's not a big deal, but what the At tells me is someone isn't watching the details. Probably because of our very bad experience the night before at the Back Bay Hilton in Boston...I am a little more critical than I might be... Great made to order breakfast. ... Read more

With the Times Square subway hub a block or less away, this hotel is incredibly convenient for anything you want to do in NYC. We took in a concert at MSG on a Friday night, and then a ball game at Citi Field the next night and traveled via the MTA without a hassle. The previous time we stayed here, NYC welcomed us with 27+" of snow; this time was a lot more pleasant. We were greeted warmly, given bottles of water, and went right up to our (online) checked-in room without a hassle, and got a... Read more

View from side/back rooms pretty blah, but everything that is Times Square is happening 24/7 right out in front of the hotel. I was very impressed by the staff at the hotel. I arrived Monday morning at about 10Am. I stopped by the hotel to drop off my bags before heading over to the Marriott for meetings (really don't like the marriott times square!). They were actually able to check me in and the front desk associate gave me a room with a great view. In addition, when I came back that evening, i found a very nice fruit platter in my room. You can't beat this location if you're visiting NYC for Times Square (at the end of the block), Bryant Park (at the end of the block), any Broadway shows, Penn Station, the Highline. It's the best location for a night or two in NYC. The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are modern, very clean, quiet from any outside noise and the staff are quick and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. The concierge staff was wonderful and the room was great! We had the most awesome view! We booked a corner Times Square view and it was worth every penny! The location was in the middle of two subway stations which was convenient, as well. The bed and pillows were also comfortable. If I was being nit picky, it'd be about the price of breakfast. One cup of coffee, one hot tea, two breakfast buffet, $68. Ouch. Even for NYC that was pricey. All eggs, even scram... Read more

Rooms too small to be functional. It appears as though they tried to cram rooms where a broom closet should have been. Had to climb over the bed to exit the room. I've stayed in many NYC hotels and never had a room this small. It was smaller than a cruise ship cabin. Even the shower was tiny, standing normal each elbow touched each side.

This hotel is less than half a block off of Times Square, and if you request a room with a view of TS, you can see the new years ball from your room! Good location for activities, theater, and great restaurants in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was nice and clean, standard HGI quality, with a good breakfast in the morning. I would recommend the hotel for a visit to the area.

This hotel is in a great location. Very close to a subway station and very close to Times Square (but not so close that it keeps you awake). Rooms are a little small but exactly as expected for Manhattan. The staff at this hotel were fantastic. We got an early check in and late check out which was very much appreciated. Overall good service. The staff were friendly though and helpful when we inquired about something. Our requested room was not ready when we arrived but we were offered another like it on a different floor. Room service brought the wrong wine to our room but quickly and apologetically went back for the correct one.The room service fees were overpriced. Bedding/comforter was not clean at all! Rusty towel bar in shower. Overpriced and clearly paid for location and not quality.

Not once did we have to take the subway, although it was about a 45-min walk to the park. (But you do so much walking in Manhattan that you just chalk it up to a typical sightseeing d... Read more

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for four nights and had a great time. Location is brilliant and for a very loud and busy city we had a great sleep and didn't hear a thing. Lovely bar to go to for a quick drink before dinner or when you get back to the hotel after a busy day of walking. Very clean and staff were very friendly.

This is a terrible hotel. Hair in the bathroom shower and floor, Sheets and bed was dirty.Rude staff when I complained. I checked out early into another hotel for the next nights. Do not ever stay in this hotel

What really sells this hotel is the location. Just off Times Square, Bryant park and a few minutes walk from 5th avenue/ grand central station. This offers plenty of shopping/eating/sight seeing opportunities all the time avoiding public transport. Hotel itself is fairly new and therefore room decor fairly decent. Bathroom is great. We had a small tub which is a bonus with a child. Adequate shelving and storage. Occasionally we didn't get enough towels delivered to our room but that was easily... Read more

My daughter and I came to New York for a whirlwind visit to see Hamilton, and I chose this hotel for its convenient location. It's just 3 years old, well designed and staffed by very friendly people. We felt secure and well taken care of. I would return there for any future visits.

Just stayed one night-but close to all the action of Times Square yet you didn't hear anything in the room. It was a very nice room. Would definitely go back! Very centrally located to everything. Wish I could've stayed longer!!

We try to visit New York every 2-3 years. We had never stayed in Times Square, and after reading the reviews and checking out the location, decided to stay here. Utilized the online check in and was able to choose my own room, which was great. If you are going to be using the subway to get around, we found this location to be excellent. All subway lines are accessible within a couple of minutes walking. Staff was great. Yes the rooms are small, but it's New York. You're not in your room m... Read more

Visited November 12th-18th, first time in New York and this hotel helped to make this holiday the best I've ever been on! Staff are so polite and friendly nothing is too much hassle! The hotel is really clean and well presented, we were on the 16th floor with an ice machine just outside our door, we never heard any noise from outside or from the ice machine. Rooms are a good size, we even had a bath which was great to relax in after full days of exploring the city!! Coffee machine, fridge and mi... Read more

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Times Square. It is steps from the middle of everything, surrounded by many restaurants, tourist places, tourists, and crowds. There are also subway stops within the immediate area. Upon arriving, you come into a nice quiet hallway and take an elevator to the lobby. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was not huge, but big enough, and very nice and clean. It included a mini-fridge. The bathroom was a shower only, but spacious enough to move a... Read more

Located very close to Times Square. Rooms are very small but updated, clean and quiet. Reservation was made months in advance and had a good rate. But if you call during the interim you may get an even better rate.

Visiting NYC/Manhattan can be a trying task when trying to plan. This hotel is a in a great location for anyone looking for a centralized base to start from each day. Rooms are updated and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant located off the lobby was good, very overpriced (even for NYC).

The Hilton Garden was in a great location and very reasonable. The room was nice, checkin was a breeze and the staff are very cordial. You were very close to Times Square and all the excitement. For the price point, in Manhattan it was an amazing value.

Stayed with friends for three nights. Location is almost perfect for seeing the city, very central to everything. Rooms were good size and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rate included a cooked to order breakfast which was a great start to the day. Front desk was very helpful holding our bags when we arrived late and had to get to an 8pm show. Elevators were a challenge. One of the three broke and stranded some people for a couple hours between floors. Lines formed at ground level to... Read more

We are recently back from a five-night stay at HGI Times Square Central. This is a nice hotel almost obscure from the busy NYC streets at the intersection of 42nd St E and Broadway. Nothing fancy outside to look at; lobby is on the 4th floor. But, from the time we got there until we left, the service was awesome. The check-in/check-out was flawless and the housekeeping staff was kind and helpful. This hotel is in the midst of everything Times Square. Walking distance to theaters, restaurants, ... Read more
