This is a really good option for staying close to the financial district. There is a subway station not too far away, but unfortunately no buses. Rooms are comfortable and the bathroom has all the necessary amenities.

Stayed 2 nights after a bad experience in another hotel. The room was very spacious, especially compared to the NYC standard I guess. Had a small fridge, safe, large bathroom with actual bathtub and not just a shower. Nice location that's close to business in the financial district but has it's own distinct look which I liked. Breakfast wasn't great, but edible, best part being belgian waffles. On the flip side, the WiFi simply did not work at all, the room wasn't very clean - it was very dusty... Read more

Came to N.Y. for a four day visit and always lodging is an issue in Manhattan. Having worked in Lower Manhattan a few years back, I remember this hotel when it first opened and had stayed here. I looked it up and their prices were very competitive for Manhattan. I stayed here and the stay was pleasant as it had been 15 years ago. The place is small but the rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. I had no issues while I stayed there. The daily breakfast is fine and a welcomed addition. It i... Read more

Having read the mixed reviews on TripAdvisor I half knew what to expect but nevertheless was disappointed by our room. As well as the dated decor which other reviewers have pointed out, our room (201) was at the back of the hotel with only a high window and a noisy ventilation system outside. After the first night I wanted to ask for another room but my husband got all British about it and didn't want to complain so we stuck with it for the whole of our four night stay. Stayed in a room with 2 queen beds, one of the corner ones. The room decor is a little dated, but it's not bad. Beds were comfortable and changed every day! The area the hotel in is great, right by brooklyn bridge and wall street. Handy for water taxi and staten island ferry. There is still some construction work going on around the hotel, but it didn't intrude at all. Wasn't keen on the breakfast, not much choice and hated the plastic plates and cutlery...is that normal in the states?! ... Read more

The rooms are clean, bright and airy (with the air conditioning on) and the staff are helpful and friendly. For a BW Plus, I was a little bit disappointed with the quality of the room. The room we stayed in needed some remodeling...ripped wallpaper; the caulking around the tub and the wall tile was cracked as well as the base of the tub. The quality of the breakfast items not to par with other BW's we have stayed in. However, its location adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge and walking distance to Wall Street, One Tower Observatory, Statue of Liberty Park, and other points of interest can't be overlooked.

This place is located right at the Seaport... It's an EZ walk ro anything in downtown Manhattan. Stone Street, Staten Island Ferry, boats to Lady Liberty for tourists and Wall Street area for business. Clean, tidy. ask for a room with a walk out balcony overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan for an unforgettable location for views and selfies. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the cramped lobby and boring breakfast.

This is a nice modest hotel in an excellent location with good service and good accommodations. However, you should skip going there in the summer.
