The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. It's easy to get to and from the subway, there are a number of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby, Wall St. and the 9/11 Memorial sites are within walking distance, and it does have some views of the Brooklyn Bridge. We also found that it was relatively quiet with no real issues of street noise, which isn't always the case when staying in NYC. The hotel and rooms themselves are rather basic, but if you just need a place to sleep, i... Read more

Great location at the foot of Brooklyn Bridge and just a mile walk away from the 911 Memorial. Just at the bay front with an easy walk to the Staten Island ferry terminal. Nice quaint rooms. Well laid out breakfast area. Sadly the hotel was shutting down for a bit of a needed refurbishment (1 lift not working and the heating in our room was not working). Also we got just 12 hours notice of the hotel closing when we had planned visits the next afternoon while leaving our bags in the lobby. Insuff... Read more

This property is simple and affordable in a market that is usually very overpriced. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The location is very close to Wall Street and the area does have more options for food / night life than I expected

This hotel was very reasonably priced on Trivago and is in a location that was both convenient for our reasons for visiting NYC AND a great spot. The Seaport area is very historic and increasingly interesting. Close to Fulton Broadway subway (with many line choices) the WTC , Brooklyn Bridge, ferry to Statue of Liberty, China Town, Little Italy etc.. It has a veranda with great views of the River Attractive entrance. Small but adequate room with good sized bathroom in need of renovation. Shower ... Read more

Myself, my son and his fiancee stayed here for five nights. The hotel is a bit tired and is due for a revamp, but I do hope the new owners keep it's present charm. The staff were lovely, front desk were so helpful, especially George who looked after our luggage and entertained us after checkout as we waited for our taxi to the airport. We didn't expect 5* luxury, and were very pleased with the cleanliness, beds made every day, bathroom cleaned and toiletries re-filled daily too. Breakfast was a... Read more

Had a very good impression when I first arrived. There was a very strong smell of what seems to be old perfume or body spray, in the bed when I settled for the night. To my dismay, I immediately noticed that the bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty and wrinkled . There were also hair on the sheets. It was obvious that the bed had not been changed!!!! The state of the bathroom was also questionable, the sink was dirty, hair in it !!! although the soap was new and the towels were clean. There w... Read more

Unfortunately, New York is horrendously expensive. This hotel is completely acceptable for a reasonable price. It is clean, well located unless you will spend all of your time above Time Square, and quiet. Some rooms have a view of the East River. The Seaport area is being redeveloped and there are a number of bars and restaurants just outside the hotel.

For my first visit to New York City, on the way overseas, I wanted to get as much view and location as I could. I went alone, so I was also interested in a place where I felt safe. The staff was excellent. They were cheerful and helpful when I had a disaster with my laptop and helped me get it shipped off. I asked for a room with a view and I got much more than that. The room was large, uniquely shaped, and had a balcony overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and the NYC skyline. If you go out on yo... Read more

Stayed for 1 night on a business trip. The room was clean and its size was actually quite good for New York, compared to other hotels I stayed at in lower Manhattan. My room had no view. Check-in took some time as I had a voucher, but staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was somewhat lacking, however. I do like the Seaport neighborhood the hotel is in, as there are a number of restaurants and attractions nearby. It's also close to Wall Street, so should be a good location for business... Read more
