Stayed here for 4 nights in April during my spring break Broadway trip. The property was much farther off the beaten path than I had hoped it would be (I booked through hotwire), but it was walking distance to the High Line Park, and a long walk to the theaters where I was seeing shows. Check in on Saturday afternoon took 20 minutes; there was only one agent on duty, and he made no acknowledgment of me for at least 15 minutes. The room was exceptionally tiny and outdated but it was clean. The on... Read more

Stayed here last year for a week, lovely hotel, good value for money.. Comfy beds and was kept nice and clean, staff were friendly. Breakfast was also nice, it is buffet style e.g make your own waffles etc. Would recommend 100%, visiting again this November ?????

Arrived here for a 2 night stay in N.Y. after traveling from Vegas. There was 4 of us in group and check in for 2 was ok but other 2 took nearly30 minutes. Guy on the desk did not in my opinion have much customer service skills did not speak to us much at all, There is only one lift and this is shared with the hotel housekeeping staff so can be quite a wait to get it. Breakfast is good, Hotel is a long way from Times Sq and did not seem in the best of areas, on departing we were told because... Read more

Good location - walkable to Times Square etc - good, clean rooms and decent breakfast. Wifi is good. The Manager was very accommodating when I had to cut my trip short at the last minute and gave me a refund for 1 night.

King beds are too big for the 10x10 rooms. Queens are better. Decent breakfast. Very small additional refrigerator, $15.00 a day unless for medical reasons. Try to avoid the 38th street units. 24 hour auto repair across the street from the hotel. Very noisy with window open. Beds are comfortable and bath and shower are good.

Floor 7 right next to elevator, hotel itself is not too noisy, you can hear the people talk on the phone in the next room. You can hear all the traffic below and the Amtrak train horn. The room furniture is average at most, but very cramped into a small place. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom , it could use some touch ups. A/c works great. The one thing is the toilet bowl is very low and the water level is high so your junk sits in the water when sitting lol, not sure if I can write that, but men... Read more

probably the worst staff I ever saw in any hotel. they are almost hostel!! the water was leaking in shower of the room I stayed in and I didn't bother calling them because I didn't want to deal with the resection. the only good thing about the hotel is it's proximity to the convention. defenatly will not stay with them again.

I'm always amazed when people choose a lower star hotel (because it's a lot cheaper) and then complain about it !!! Pay more and get a 3 or 4 star. This hotel was brilliant for my needs. Who wants to stay in any hotel room after 8am. This is NY ... Up early and to bed late. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful ... Not many have this facility. Bed was comfy, air con worked a treat, and all the action is a short walk away, or get a bus/subway on 34/42. If your coming for a week get a metro inclus... Read more

In Magnuson Convention Center Hotel NYC we stayed from 6 July to 12 July 2016. The hotel is located in a quiet, safe street, every day, we returned to the hotel at night and as two women we should never fear. We were accommodated on the 7th floor in a room for 2 people. The little room was very satisfactorily equipped - safe, wardrobe, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, large flat TV, functional air conditioning. Large bed for two people is spacious, comfortable, clean linen. Bathroom with bath wa... Read more

It is a good solution if you are trying to find budget hotel but not recommended if you are travelling with a family. The hotel rooms are good enough for a couple or two people sharing the same room. Another problematic issue was the floor carpet that are old and dirty. Breakfast is included in the price which is a positive and Wi- Fi is very good.

This is in no way a 5 star hotel. You see that as soon as you come in. I was a skeptic. I wondered why I agreed to share a room here with my blogger friends. We were attending a nearby conference and it was the only hotel that fit our budget and was close. Our room was small with 2 queen beds. The beds were vey comfortable. Nothing better than coming back to your room to your comfortable bed after a long day of full on motion sickness from being on a boat. The staff there was extremely friendly... Read more

This hotel went far beyond expectations! The service was superb, the accommodations were excellent, free breakfast beyond compare and the Tempur-Pedic mattresses (the late Paul Harvey had advertised) provided a good night's sleep. I would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel for your vacation place, where it is within walking distance of most Manhattan interest sites.

On the day we arrived we went to check in. We had one room with a king size bed already booked. We had 3 females staying in the room. The manager , Annie, told us we had to book a second room because only two people were allowed in a room. That was not stated any where on the website. We had to pay an extra $300 on top of the $500 we had already paid. This was a horrible start to our first trip to NYC. After we booked the second room, she was charging my card the $100 safety deposit. She acciden... Read more

Most disappointed in this hotel. Stains on the sheets, bleach spots on the carpet and tub drain exposed. Noisy location. We left after one night. Advised that there were no other rooms available. Will not stay here again.

Visited the hotel for 12 hours hardly. Nice hotel. Very friendly staff members. Hotel at a good location near about the Lincoln Tunnel and Megabus bus stop. The rooms are very small and i guess for the prices that they are charging, which is near about the same as other hotels around Manhattan. Looks like the rates are a bit higher for the kind of rooms. The breakfast quality and the different types of food items was strictly ok and could have been much better than on offer.

The best quality of this hotel is its location near Hudson Yards (7) metro station. Rooms are small, the equipment quite old needs refreshment, a bad TV, the elevator out of service for 3 days, the room service absent for 1 day, the industrial breakfast except the wafles is not appetizing. The service at desk is OK but other people working are indifferent.

The hotel itself was very basic but it had what you would need. A pretty ok breakfast as well. The staf was very nice and helpful! I would say it's a good hotel for that price, you get what you pay for:)

For the money this was a great hotel to stay in. The free breakfast had a good selection and was fresh and replenished quickly. The rooms were dated, but really who cares, you don't go to New York to sit in the room. The aircon worked well, so did the shower and the beds were very comfy so for the price there really is nothing more you can you ask for. Location was great, quiet at night but only 4 blocks from time square and 3 from the nearest subway. The staff were much nicer than most people w... Read more

This is the worst hotel i have stayed in in all my years of hundreds of hotels in the entire world. Just read all the horror stories about this on other reviews and i agree with them all. The rooms what a joke. The staff , the rudest and MOST useless i have ever encountered. Dont be fooled with the usual responce from the guest relations manager (IF YOU CAN ACTUALY GET TO SEE THIS GUY, THATS A MIRACLE). as they just don`t give a hoot about guests once they have your money. I think the phrase 'you get what you pay for' was created by someone staying somewhere like this, as it's exactly that, comfortable, but basic. Arriving at the front desk their was no 'welcome' just a rather uninterested check in, he wasn't rude, just seemed like he'd rather be doing anything else. The room itself was small, with a few damage spots on the walls, though clean, and didn't smell bad, the 2 main problem's were the wardrobe was so big, the door couldn't be opened enough to easily ac... Okay where do we start... false advertising to the max!! I do not recommend anyone to this motel not even my worst enemy, what a way to start off our holiday to New York! As we arrive to the hotel we look at one another and think our Uber driver has taken us to the wrong place, it didn't even look like a hotel, we go down stares to check in and the staff where rude, once we checked in we went straight up to our room and nearly died when we walked in the door, paying $1700 for 4 nights in this pl... We stayed here for a week whilst visiting NYC. The location was great - about 15 minute walk to Times Square and Penn Station (for airport train). Basic bedroom and bathroom but an adequate size but the shower pressure wasn't great and the tub didn't drain quick enough for the shower. Complimentary breakfast was great for grabbing coffee and a bite to eat of a morning. Free wifi across the hotel. Would stay here again - reasonably priced for the location.

I was there in Sept. 18th for 5 nights.I saw that other people booked closer in time than me and got a better rate by Internet, like Agoda or other of these WEb addresses, like Expedia. I booked 6 months in advance. The hotel has only 1 Elevator. You have to walk from the entrance to 8th AVe to find places to eat, there is a supermarket in 9th Ave and 37 Str that is good. You get breakfast with the room rate. This is the best thing I would say.

As hotels go in New York I would describe this as Budget and for the price its reasonable. Its close to Times square and the Empire State Building. Its not in the nicest of areas, there is a garage opposite which you can hear noise from at night and also there is noise from the nearby train line. The rooms are small but clean and the bed was comfortable, rooms was cleaned daily along with towels changed. There was a serve yourself breakfast area with ample choice which you could fill up on, alth... Read more

I paid $500 to stay here so I was expecting a hotel that is very clean, up to date and maintained. The lady at the front desk was rude, upon entering the hotel the walls all needed to be repainted, the hotel was not welcoming and did not feel clean. Once we entered our room it, it was small, the carpet was actually wet in front of the safe, you couldn't open the door properly without hitting the bed.

We stayed here two nights. It's a budget hotel with free breakfast. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Location was just perfect. Only a few blocks from Time Square. Great staff too. I would definitely book again here.

It's a small room (what else, its NY!) but clean and complete with an iron, hairdryer and bathtub. It's a small business hotel and the price is ok considering its location. Street is basically safe, close to bus stops & subway. Complete with a full breakfast.

Just back yesterday from NYC & stayed in Magnuson Convention Centre. Fourth time to NYC & stayed in Times Square in past. Hotel is small & basic but has all the amenities you require as you are never in hotel. Only criticism is the bath towels, they were a rather washed out white & this really creates a poor impression of the hotel for hygiene. In saying this, rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast area small but as a family of 4 we always got seated. Breakfast staff the most helpful out of all the hote... Read more

I had traveled to New York on a solo trip. On a positive note the hotel was doable for price at time of booking. I found my own transportation to the hotel via private town car from airport. The hotel was close to several sites and not far from 9th ave where you can hail a cab easily. The room was okay and served it purpose. The cold AC came in handy as it was hot during that time. I slept okay. Not a huge deal but I did let the staff know my room phone was not working and during the entire stay... Read more

This is a VERY mediocre, shabby in need of restoration, basic but not cheap hotel! We paid $289 for one night....assumed it would be of a decent standard. Should have walked the 5 blocks to a chain hotel for the same price.
