The Quin is well located but not too close to the activity of Times Square. Service wash good, the rooms clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. Not noisy although could hear sirens from time to time which is probably typical anywhere in NY. Only issue was aircon struggled to keep room cool enough. May be worse when it gets to summer. Close to good convenience store.

Very expensive and didn't deliver on the small service I asked for. Room was noisy being right on the street. Was expecting an upgrade but given a deluxe room. Toiletries provided are amazing. Food from their restaurant was OK. It very expensive. Coffee machine in the room was great in the morning. My toilet ran all night and I found the noise hard to sleep with.

My husband stayed at the hotel as part of a work meeting in the city. I tagged along to do some shopping. His company booked everyone at the Quin because the Plaza was full. The staff is excellent at the Quin; we were greeted at the door, they got us right to our room, they welcome you back when you return (and you can tell they do remember you). However, we had numerous issues with our room. First, the bathroom door wouldn't lock. The lock itself was jammed and wouldn't turn. We happened to b... Read more

Location of the hotel is the best one. Central Park behind the corner. 5th ave one block away. Everything is really close including best restaurants. It is a boutique hotel, so you always have your privacy and don't meet hundreds of people every time passing through lobby. Concierge team is great, they always help to book the places, specially the ones that hard to get a reservation. For such a city as ny it's very important. Room as well was very good , big, bright, with a big bathroom.

The Quin is very new, fresh, and stylish with impeccable cleanliness and a few high tech touches, like central control for blinds, lights, etc, that give it a bit of an extra cool factor. 57th and 6th is pretty much the perfect location to access all that Manhattan has to offer. Couldn't get it to dispense hot water at a slower rate without the other dripping at the same time. The pill... Read more

I like this hotel very much, It's my preferred in NYC. Excellent service and location is excellent, but the breakfast could be better. I recommend this hotel for everyone staying in New York. The personal is very helpful.

My wife and me stayed at the Quin for 10 days. Wonderful experience. The locations is perfect. Breakfast is served in the Wayfarer Bar and Restaurant, which is in the same building, and you can eat the whole menu all included. Room service is excellent. Guest Services are not available on the phone from the room after 11 PM, which should be changed. But the highlight of our stay has been the concierge Johnny Benitez, who does a fantastic job, not only explaining each NY attraction with all detai... Read more

It was the second stay in this hotel. Service, cleanliness, location and rooms were excellent. For the time is being built next door, so that construction noise reduces the quality of sleep something. Overall there is nothing to complain about. I will come back soon.

By Alan & Rhona. Stayed for 6 nights from 26th August in 2 Bed Premier Queen on 15th floor. The beds are Superb! and room very comfortable. Bathroom spotless and love the lighting. Location is excellent - 2 mins from Central Park and approx. 8 mins from Times Square. Employees from Front Desk to Concierge to Housekeeping etc very helpful. Highly recommend the Quin Hotel and will stay at this Hotel again. 57th St Subway adjacent to Hotel

I'm staying at the Quin for three nights for business (my second stay). I rarely bother to write reviews for a business stay as there usually enough interaction with the hotel to have an informed opinion. That said, I found it interesting that at check in, I was handed a card with Trip Advisor emblazoned on it with an earnest request to write a review. Unfortunately, the Quin staff gave me enough reason to write a review after just one hour. And none of it was good. I had just landed after... Read more

The location of this hotel is perfect. It's just a short walk from Central Park and easy walking distance into the main shopping attractions in the other direction. There is a subway station right on the corner also if you are going slightly further afield. Rooms are good size by UK standards but small by USA standards. Well equipped (particularly handy having iron and iron board in the wardrobe). The bed was by far the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The room had a courtyard view but was... Read more

We really enjoyed the location just a few blocks from Central Park. This is a busy part of midtown with lots of traffic and construction etc. going on in the surrounding area. The staff at the check-in were friendly and helpful, however the concierge never acknowledged us which I found a little off-putting. The men at the front door were friendly and helpful. Our room was about 9 floors up, lots of room and beautifully appointed. Two queen beds which were so comfortable. Very clean and a modern ... Read more

A three-month work stint in New York this summer was completely saved by my experience staying at the Quin. After an initial week in a sub-par Midtown hotel, I'd read the reviews of the Quin and ended up giving it a shot, along with several of my work colleagues from Los Angeles. What a blessing that turned out to be! Yes, the rooms are large (by NY standards! ) and well-kempt. But what sold us was the staff and the service we received at the Quin. Over the many weeks we were there, I got to... Read more

This is not the fanciest or most luxurious hotel in NYC, but it is well located and has modern rooms. They run on the small side, but we reserved through Magellan and got an upgrade to a bigger room. Magellan emailed us before our arrival, letting us know that our rate had dropped. We saved $200 off of our total cost for a seven day stay.

I wanted to stay somewhere near Central Park and spent quite a while researching hotels. In the end I selected the Quin because of location, size and good reviews. The concierge service ahead of our visit was really good and helped so much with tickets and reservations. On arrival the check in staff were great and our premier room (free upgrade which was kind) with an avenue view was larger than expected and well appointed. But. Our room was noisy as it was in the 5th floor and I specifically as... Read more

I stayed at The Quin for a business event located at the hotel. The service I received was outstanding -- I had to print several presentations and they helped me willingly and at no charge. The beds were really comfortable, the bathroom spacious for a NYC hotel. We used the Penthouse for our event and the space was excellent for our needs. We had the use of the terrace as well, which we enjoyed sitting out in the sun during the day. NYC was having a heat spell so it was a little warm but ... Read more

I've been to Manhattan on many occasions over the last 20 years and I'm still struggling to find a hotel I will return to. I booked this one based on a combination of location, reviews and price, plus the fact it looked quite new. I am not a fan of tired and dated hotels. Starting with the positives, the location was excellent and the room (premier with two queen beds) was large for New York City. There was free citrus water in the lobby, a nespresso machine in the room and free wifi. The indiv... Read more

This hotel was marketed to us a 5 star boutique hotel, sadly this is not the case. Location is good but the rooms are very disappointing, quite small and ordinary , with very limited storage space, no bath & poorly serviced with items such as loo roll, toiletries & towels failing to be properly refreshed on a daily basis and we also experienced other peoples laundry delivered to our room - to mention just a few issues. However most disappointing was the staff attitude to any issues raised. Havin... Read more

The Quin is an old hotel that has been redecorated and has modern comfortable rooms and beds. Service is excellent. Everybody is extremely nice and helpful. Room service is excellent service well. Smallish yet excellent bathrooms. Excellent location. The day after we arrived one of the two guest elevators broke down. Unfortunately we discovered this on the way to the theater. It took us over 15 minutes to get down and we arrived late. This made us very upset, as this was the highlight of... Read more

Wonderful location, service, ambiance, and decor, unfortunately one elevator was broken so wait times were long, wonderful rooms but shower door stripping peeling so water always leaked out onto floor. Room 316 is next to stairwell and service elevator so is noisy, though was great to be near that elevator since one of main elevators was out of service. Overall, great trip.

Disappointing hotel. Not really ready for business travelers. Spotty wifi works, sometimes; hotel engineers seem unable to keep it running. Air conditioning very loud and difficulty to sleep through - definitely more motel than hotel. Wouldn't have minded for budget travel but not competitive for business or higher end personal travel.

We travel a lot to Nyc, this is the first time we have used the Quin Hotel, we found the staff to be helpful and informative, the rooms are a good size and have been finished to a good quality, not sure about the old fashioned air con units under the window, little noisy for us, but overall a good hotel in a GREAT location at a reasonable price, would use them again and would recommend them.

A good hotel to say in New York sub way very close not far from the shopping on 5th AV. The hotel has a very good Restaurant and Bar. Rooms are well laid out the mattresses are ok very different type to what you find most hotels. A very quite hotel. The only think that lets the hotel down is the shower poor design water goes everywhere. I would stay there again. Staff all very good.

This is the best hotel we have ever visited, and we have tried a lot in NY. Nice athmosphere, and Parker and his friend were SO helpful and kind, so they get also excellent rate. The shower facilities were great, and we loved the shampoo and body lotion.

Great location. The rooms are a good size, well designed and convenient. Avoid a room facing the inside. The air conditioning units are noisy and there is just as much noise from the inner space if you open the window. After complaining we got a great room facing the street.
