I stay at this hotel quite frequently and let me say, I feel with each stay it declines in amenities. The rate can sometimes be $600+ a night and this is a FAR cry from a Four Seasons! I also didn't know I was staying a boutique hotel in TriBeCa for exposed closets. Thanks for the privacy. Also, back to the redesign - it was definitely done on the cheap. Look at some pics, minor I know but show shortcuts. (Spend money Muss) Also, no more milk? Can't replace switches? Short cuts in bat... Read more

We have stayed in this hotel twice about a year apart. Both times we had a king suite with ah attached double and an additional double nearby. The first time we stayed because of the location. The stay was reasonable enough that we decided to give it a try post remodeling...I think they went backwards. Obviously the location still has a lot of appeal. Brooklyn Heights, the Brooklyn Bridge, and great restaurants all within an easy walk as proven by my 80 year old family members. Easy access... Read more

While having undergone substantial rehab, the new not so improved, Marriott still has a way to go. The room was large and the upgraded tv was very nice, but as to some critical fundamentals, there were problems: The air conditioning in the room did not function; their housekeeping staff was cleaning the room next door at 11:00 pm in a loud and obstructive way as I was trying to get to sleep and the dining options for breakfast were very limited. While the guest service representative at checkout... Read more

Relatively new, upscale hotel in downtown Brooklyn. Easy access to the City. A walker's paradise. I tried this hotel as an alternative to Manhattan because a family member lives in Brooklyn. I really enjoyed it and will stay her next time I make a visit. This could be a fun meeting venue, as well. Again, an alternative to the standard fare of Manhattan, Brooklyn is a lot of fun in its own right, and it's easy to get into Manhattan to take in its sights, as well.

I stayed here on business for ten days. The room was clean, and the staff was pleasant and professional. Parking can be either valet or self- parking at a lot with the entrance located just past the entrance to the hotel. If you use the parking garage, I suggest the valet, there is no additional charge but the garage does fill up on weekdays, so fining a spot can be difficult. Cost to park the car was $40/day. The room had some paint peeling on the ceiling of the shower. There is a small coffee ... Read more

This hotel, with its updates is great. While it is slightly strange not having drawer space, it didn't alter my stay. The location is super easy to the metro, and thanks to the Brooklyn Bridge less than .5 mile away there is a constant flow of taxis and uber/lyft drivers. Staff was great and helpful.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times in the last few years. They have renovated it since I was last here, and it looks great. Our room had a nice cityscape type mural on the wall, the check-in process was very easy. We dropped our bags off until we could check-in, went next door to Rocco's Taco's and received a phone call from the concierge desk saying we are able to check in (was unexpected and very nice of them to call!). Check-out was even easier. There are several places to eat near this... Read more

We love this hotel. We've been coming here several times a year for the past 10 years since our kids moved to the area. There have been renovations. We love some but do not see the point of others. The lobby and bar changes are great. We love the M club which offers food and sanctuary from the rush. A nice place to work. The room changes are another story. This Marriot is conveniently located near the Subway which provides easy access into Manhattan. Room was nice. Grab and go breakfast was convenient and sit-down breakfast very nice. We picked this hotel for its access to the bridge, wanting to walk it early in the morning. For this reason, this hotel is excellent. Parking is $40 a night but you can leave it until 3 pm on your checkout day without extra charge. Check out is 11:30. No room service but you can order from the bar and pick it up until 1 am I think. I've been attending the Manhattan Dance Championships at this property for 10 years. The onsite restaurant/bar is the worst I've seen at any Marriott property, and I'm a Gold Marriott guest. Awful service, unremarkable food, and exorbitantly over-priced. More expensive than Manhattan! Takes advantage of captive audience, and has audacity to add gratuity to check.

As a Marriott Platinum member I have stayed at many Marriott hotels over the years. I cannot recall more problems with an upgraded room than we experienced last weekend. We were given a newly renovated room on the 24th floor. When we entered the room it was spacious and appeared nicely decorated - except we could not find any drawers for clothing. Did we miss something? No. It turns out some genius at Marriott has decided the guests can live out of their suitcases. To compound the problem... Read more

This hotel is so fancy and pricey, and has a great location (depending why are you staying in that area), but if you are booking a room for more than 2 people per room, you will not get any sleep. We were 4 of us, 2 adults and two 13 year old children. Each adult slept with one child and the bed was more than small. We did not get any sleep during our stay. I stayed here the night before and the night after my wedding. Naturally, I booked (and paid a premium) for a one-bedroom suite. I also noted in my reservation that it was my wedding. When we first arrived, we were assigned a room without a separate bedroom. This was important because I was going to have photographers, a hairdresser, and a make up artist in and out of the room. The bed comfortable and towels fluffy. We didn't hear anything from the neighbors during the time we were there. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were always greeted upon entering and even going down the halls. The front desk staff cheerfully answered questions that no doubt they have been asked a million ti... Read more

the hotel itself was very nice and in a great location. I checked in with a group discount as I was attending a wedding. Apparently this is not a clue to the staff that you might actually be attending a wedding and have a deadline to meet. I arrived at 10 am - no room. Ok, no problem. Go out for lunch, come back, no room. In fairness check in time is at 4 but wouldn't they check to see what time the wedding started for a wedding group?. I explain to the staff. I have a wedding to attend... Read more

I was surprised by how modern this hotel is given that the building is no doubt quite old. But the decor is modern but comfortable, the amenities excellent (loved the M Club), the bar set up for visiting or not, and the staff was ready to answer and help however they could. My room was a great size. There was a bit of street noise but the windows were pretty solid (we were on the 3rd floor so I would imagine it is quieter higher up). There were excellent reading lamps by each bed. What a t... Read more

This hotel has some of the LOUDEST housekeeping staff in the world!!!! I travel for work and use the daytime to rest and I barely get any. I understand that 9-5 is a busy time for the housekeeping staff but they do not respect the DO NOT DISTURB signs AT ALL!! The call out to each other down the hallways and slam doors all day. There is nothing good about this. Despite this and the average customer service at THE PANTRY (cafe), this hotel is good and in a great location in Brooklyn.

This hotel is impressive! Location is as convenient as it gets in the area. Right next to the Jay Street and Boroughs subway stop. Front desk personnel was one of the nicest I have encountered in our recent stays. Shout out to Jeffrey!! So nice.. His boss Sam.. also very nice. Rooms are modern, large windows. My only input would be to get more storage areas in the room, like drawers. Closet is very close and ironing board takes half of it!.

Let me provide my standard disclosure. I rarely rate hotels 5 stars unless they are full-service and/or a resort property. This hotel exceeds the standard! I took my children to NYC for their first visit. Instead of staying in a hotel in Manhattan, it was recommended from a family member who lives in NYC, that we stay at the Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge because of it's great location. This property has a modern decor and my room was extremely clean. Arriving later in the evening, I was ... Read more

Stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. Greeted by professional and friendly front desk staff. Answered all our questions and gave us some great suggestions for dinner, and bar hopping on Smith Street. As a Marriott Elite member I was appreciative of the access to the M Club for breakfast and after hours water and juice. The restaurant staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. Executive lounge and in house restaurante is fantastic. WiFi is better than most hotels. There are a ton of places to walk around to for eating and shopping. Room was clean, modern, and nice. My only complaint is my door did not close properly and had to be slammed open/closed to ensure it locked and latched right. EXPENSIVE at $389/night.

I'm a frequent guest at Marriott Hotels. This place is an outlier. let's start with the fact that the place offers no room service. I didn't even know that was possible. I have never before even bothered to inquire, when booking at a Marriott (as opposed to one of their down-market brands, like Courtyard) as to whether they have room service, Marriott: you should not have this. This damages your brand. We tried to check in at 4pm. Our rooms were not ready. Jeffrey at the desk took our ... Read more

I stay often with Marriott across New York state and this is your average Marriott. A great hotel chain, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, above average cleanliness over other chains I've stayed in and the staff at this Marriott were above average also. There were many rude guests my first night in the hotel and none of the staff missed a beat. One man went so far as to step behind the counter and he became angry when one of the desk staff wouldn't get out of his way because she was waiting on s... Read more

Recently stayed at this hotel for a business/personal trip and found myself feeling ok about the experience. The hotel was a standard room, double beds that were tight for two people but very comfortable. Across from our room was a sign labeled ice but no ice machine was to be found. However the main reason for this review is to discuss my frustration with the bar in the hotel. We went there on a late Friday evening, not too busy. It took at least 5 plus minutes for us to get two beers and two m... Read more

We stayed at the Marriott because of its location (a two block walk to Brooklyn Law School). The hotel was very busy because there were two wedding receptions taking place there during the weekend but the service never suffered. We were in room 407, and I was a little concerned that there would be a chlorine smell on our floor--the fourth floor has the health club and pool, but there were no obvious odors on the floor. We stayed in a very modern room with a high ceiling. King sized bed was very ... Read more

I needed to be close to Brooklyn Heights and this location is perfect! The room has been recently updated and while it is a bit modern for a traditional Marriott, it is comfortable and the bed is fabulous! It is close to local public transportation, restaurants and shopping. And Manhattan is just minutes away! The only snafu I had (and it has nothing to do with the hotel) is when I called an Uber ... I should have ensured my pick-up location was 333 Adams as the Uber map is a bit off.

I stayed in this hotel for an extended business trip. While it is in a great location and is generally a nice hotel, it lacks in several areas important to me as is indicated in the title of this review. To begin with, the hotel offers absolutely nothing in the way of some sort of basic coffee or basic breakfast items in the mornings. Almost every hotel I have ever stayed at at least offers coffee (typically in insulated containers so it stays hot through the morning). It is a rather cheap thing... Read more

Each and every employee greeted you pleasantly and with a smile. You can't beat an affordable hotel for wedding guests with a very convenient location and this one won't disappoint. Located just the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge it's just a couple block walk to shopping in downtown Brooklyn and approx. 4 blocks beyond to the waterfront walks, the aquatic park and the River Front Cafe' (another review) all with fabulous views of the Manhattan skyline. We stayed at the hotel with family for a wedding. We stayed there for four nights. It is located at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge which made travel into Manhattan a breeze. It is well maintained and the staff was excellent. We took advantage of the pool and spa and they are well maintained and the attendants took care of all of our needs. They had just replaced all the equipment in the fitness center and the locker rooms rivaled those found in a country club. The bell man was already to giv... Read more

We stayed at the Marriott for the NYC Marathon. It is very convenient for the sights in Brooklyn including the bridge and the Borough Hall subway stop is only steps away providing access to all of NYC. We enjoyed a drink in their lobby bar which was quiet and relaxing. Plenty of great places to eat within the area. Our room was sparse with an obvious attempt to be hip and it was in a corporate kind of way. Very large TV and a corner couch with a table made good use of the space. Parking was righ... Read more

We were attending a wedding in Brooklyn and this hotel was close to the venue. We are Marriott Platinum Elite and expected a nice experience. We flew from SJ, CA via LA to JFK. A long trip...Then we took a horrible cab ride to the hotel. They are tearing up the streets in Brooklyn and that's a good thing, but creates traffic nightmares. Our room was newly renovated, basically what one would expect in a American big chain hotel. Each floor is soooo large, some rooms can very very far from the elevator. Basically 3 min walk to Brooklyn Bridge, so 10 min walk to downtown Manhattan. Brooklyn downtown and Brooklyn Height is actually quite interesting on its own, all walkable from the hotel. We were very pleased with the location and access to the subway (several lines within close walking distance). There are a few restaurants nearby and the downtown shopping promenade not far either. Good pool and gym. Sauna and hot tub could have been hotter. Seems like this is a popular venue for weddings (there were 12 the weekend we were there) and for flight crews to stay (Lufthansa and Qantas). Marriott did a great job on the renovation of the hotel. If a view is important to you request a room in the South Tower. Better yet, book either the Skyline or Waterview room. I had booked a 2 room king suite. The room was nice but the view was terrible. The North Tower is only 7 stories, and the view from the suite I was given was of an office building. It made the room dreary and dark. Since there weren't any king suites available with a view, I downgraded to a Skyline view king room, and ha... Read more

It is a Marriott, with Marriott's high-quality service and cleanliness, so that means it is going to earn at least a rating of 4. However, I am a Hilton Honors member who was traveling with others, and I have trouble justifying the marginally higher prices for Marriott properties.
