Typical Holiday Inn Express? Yeah, but in a stunning location with great views! The front desk staff was extremely helpful when a tragedy occurred which caused me to change some travel plans - but not my reservation. Showing up the next day I was stunned to be reminded I had booked the hotel room for the night before. No problem (thankfully it wasn't the middle of the summer)! Yancy (I'm pretty sure that's her name) took care of it, waived the "no show" fee, and set my colleague and I up in... Read more

Stayed here Memorial Day weekend, check in was easy. Request an upper room floor for an incredible view. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. You cannot adjust the AC and one of the beds is right next to the unit and can get very cold for whoever is sleeping there. Parking is offsite and walking is required so don't bring a lot of stuff to hand carry. The location is great for sights. Would definately recommend.

Located in the south financial district is a very good location to stay as you have close 2 subway station, the pier for the Ellis Island and Liberty statue , as well the ferries for Staten Island. Beside that the hotel is really poor. The rooms are smaller than a pet box. In less than 2 sq Mt you have a bathroom with shower. The sightseeing depends on the side you are, you might end to see the front building and be sure to close your curtains otherwise it's a strip show when you go to bed. ... Read more

I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. For the first week, I made a reservation which is non-refundable. But due to unexpected change in travel plans, I had to shorten my stay. Because I was a IHG spire member, hotel manager has considered my request and made the change. Cesar (front desk staff) checked me in. He was friendly and gave me information about near by restaurants. Room size was small in double bed room. But with King bed, room size is on par with many other hotels of NY.I do not have a... Easy check in. Parking near. Walkable neighborhood with great sight seeing. Week end rates are outstanding. First off be prepared to drive to the valet parking garage located behind the Bier Garden. Smaller rooms, clean, good a/c, easy-friendly check in and smooth operating elevators. Restaurant and bar on the premise. Convenient 2-dunkin donuts located 50feet away from hotel. Plenty of security so definitely a family trip is doable. Note: some work being done on the subway lines so check befo... Read more

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, to explore the financial district area, after having spent previous nights in the Times Square area. Well located to metro station, as well as to memorial sites & ferries. Room was small, but neat & tidy, and staff were pleasantly friendly on arrival. Found the waiting for lifts to be a bit frustrating, as one was not working, and it left only 2 to service a very busy hotel. I think we may have just been there at an unfortunate time when a water pipe burst ... Read more

I cannot fault this hotel; it's in a very convenient location to the subway and some key site seeing spots. It's extremely tall and we had the pleasure of being on 40th floor with great views uptown. The room, although compact, was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with great connection to wifi. A great spot for a quick stay in the city!

Loved our stay here, although definitely worth paying extra for rooms with view of the Hudson and Freedom tour. Lower ground views are of air conditioners and pipes and no sun got in, we were so disappointed we paid the thirty dollars extra per night for INCREDIBLE views. Elevators were a little slow in the morning, but otherwise efficient. Staff were wonderful and cleaners did a fabulous job each day. I'm not a in between kinda person when it comes to giving my opinion on hotels. When traveling to nyc with family it's smart to try and stay in lower Manhattan, especially with younger kids. I figured this hotel would be great. As far as location, subway access it's perfect. As far as the hotel not so much. When I first arrived the room was smaller th... Read more

We stayed here for 4 nights in June 2016 in room 2506. The room is small but the bathroom and the room were immaculate. The bed is comfortable and there is a decent pillow selection. Don't bring a lot of clothes to hang up because the closet is nothing more than a small 18 inch wide cabinet in the corner of the room .There are only 3 small elevators for a 50 story building and one of them seems to be down at any one time. Visited NYC for a couple of nights in June and stayed at the Holiday Inn Manhattan. It's easily accessible by subway. The rooms were clean - it seems like it's a new hotel. The hotel staff are super helpful - on checkout, I accidentally left a shirt behind that had sentimental value: the housekeeping staff were more than happy to help to ship it back to Australia - thank you!! My husband and I were in NYC for a wedding and stayed here for three nights in June 2016. The room and bathroom were very small (not unusual for New York, so to be expected) but very clean and had everything we needed. We have found lately that we enjoy staying downtown when we visit NY. There is much to do and offers a different part of the city than the usual tourist sections. Plus it can tend to be cheaper, especially on weekends when the business folk have gone home. This hotel offered a perfect combination of location, room size and comfort, and amenities. The hotel is located just a few blocks south of the WTC site. Plus, it is within several blocks of multiple subways. You can get the 1,2,4,5, and R. Be... Read more

Nice hotel, nice location, easily accessed via the different metro lines. The rooms are small but that's standard in NYC. Free wifi in hotel. Close to some bars and restaurants to eat as soon as you wake up, until you go to bed. + location + wifi + room quality + service - waiting time for the elevator if you are staying at the higher stories - can be noisy if you stay at the lower stories (traffic) Don't rent a car there, metro is perfect to visit all the attractions in the city.

I found this hotel correct, but in our case we are four people in a room and the room was very little for four. Be careful if you are interesting in a room for four, I think this hotel have not good rooms for this. The other problem is the elevator, you have to wait a lot for it, and if you are in the rooms of middle floors very bad because the elevators are always full. The situation of the hotel is good but to go Times Square you have to take the subway.

My husband and I have newly moved to New Jersey and enjoy coming into the city. People in South Jersey think that the city is Philly, but so wrong! So we started every other weekend we will pick an area to explore. We always choose IHG brand and have never had any real issues. This hotel is new and clean. The staff is friendly and efficient. Recently spent 4 days here and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the very helpful staff. I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Financial District. The service that you receive from the employees was great, they are very helpful to any request you may have. The lobby is very nice & they have a restaurant on property. At the restaurant kids eat free during your stay. The only issue I had was with the staff of the restaurant. They weren't very friendly & the service was really slow. They also assumed that the excess money from my bill was the tip & took the money. If I stayed I would p... Read more

The hotel is located in Manhattan's business center just 200 feets from the metro station. Taking into account price/location/service criteria it's most certainly among the best options in Manhattan. Rooms look tiny at the first glance, but you can easily get used to that.

The hotel is in a cracking location, ideal for staying in the southern tip of the island and close by the subway. The rooms, however, are a little on the cosy side and while it was fine for my 3 nights I certainly couldn't have handled a longer stay in the rooms without going a little crazy. This is more or less what I expected when booking a room at this hotel. The rooms are tiny and in "okay" condition, the service is mediocre, the elevator lines are huge for both getting up to your room and back down to the lobby. The biggest upside has nothing to do with the hotel itself but rather being pretty close to the 2/3 subway line.

Guess it's being in NY. But these rooms are tiny. Typical Holiday Inn feel and decor. Just not much room to even walk around a room when you have two beds. Double beds!
