"New York City has so many hotels that are wholes in the wall. I was surprised when I pulled up to see a well maintained hotel with a doorman with a very welcoming smile the lobby was very clean and inviting. The front desk workers where very nice but the should tell you that they are putting a $125.00 hold on your card. The room was very nice with the best toilet in the world :) Ordering room service was very quick the operator was so friendly the pizza was good but very expensive and my chips tasted like fish :(. (only draw back) the view was the back of a building should ask for a higher floor. You are able to walk a few blocks to stores and other attractions. Wonderful quick get away with the husband."

"We booked the Mystery deal in the Mystery King Room. The hotel was very pleasant and the staff was more than accommodating during our 3 night stay. We checked in at 1pm well before their normal check in time of 3pm. They offered to hold our bags and wait to check in but we were eager to get our weekend started so took the first room they had. The only room available at that time was on a smoking floor but was as requested a non-smoking room. We accepted the room anyway thinking it would be ok and right after we checked-in we realized that the room was not bearable. If you're not a smoker I suggest requesting to be on a non smoking floor prior to checking in, the non smoking rooms on a smoking floor are pretty bad. As the below reviewer said the whole floor smelled of smoke and they brought ionizer to purify the air in our room but didn't clear it entirely. This was our fault partly for accepting the room in the first place however, the next day they gladly upgraded us to a Premier Room that included a sitting area with loveseat, armchair, large ergonomic work desk and coffee table, and views of park avenue (with this deal you normally get the superior room). LABOR DAY WEEKEND/NYC FASHION week mind you. The hotel was also at capacity so for them to do this was more than remarkable.

The Rooms were spotless, smelt good (on a non smoking floor/non smoking room), VERY QUIET on a busy street, black out curtains were awesome, the BED WAS SO comfortable, the slippers and robe were incredible. The Bathrooms were beautiful and tubs large enough for tall people. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of cleaning and really making it feel like you just checked in when you came back to your room again- like a vacation should be. The rooms DO come with the frills listed on THIS website. The below reviewer said the website (NOT THIS ONE) mentioned that continental breakfast is included but it was not. This is true, if you are booking through an agency you DO NOT get the breakfast deal.

The hotel is accessible to empire state bldg, Times Square, walking distance to all modes of transportation (East River Ferry too). Additionally, the location is next to a BOA/Starbucks and a short walk to D'Agostino shopping/food market. We could not have been more pleased and satisfied with our stay. We hope to visit NYC again soon and I hope we can stay here again if we do."

"Hotel was very nice. However, we requested for two adjoining nonsmoking double bed rooms. However, they gave us rooms on different floors. The whole floor smelled of smoke for one of the rooms. They brought ionizer to purify the air in our room but didnt clear it completely. So next day they made up for it by upgrading us to a suite which was nice of them. The hotel is accessible to empire state bldg, times square etc. However, the rooms do not come with the frills listed on website. Like the website mentioned that continental breakfast is included but it was not. Also, rooftop shown on website is not accessible to hotel guests. Only if you book parties, you can enjoy the rooftop."
