I must congratulate the team that has put this concept together. What an excellent idea to have a wellbeing hotel. Good food, great staff, lovely bespoke rooms, personal gyms, motivational slogans, do it yourself shop. A massive thank you to Terence and Moetez ?? both were very helpful. Terence is on front desk, gave us some great advice on eating out, shopping, hotel concept etc. Moetez was in the bar area ?? charming fellow, always happy and helpful. All the staff were great. I spent two very pleasant nights here. The moment you walk in, the place feels light and open. My room was clean and well-sized for New York, even with the exercise equipment. It was also quiet, facing the rear of the building. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains helped me sleep soundly. I very much appreciated the full glass doors on the shower, so I didn't have to mop the floor. The staff was great, and the water at the front desk is a nice touch. Our family recently stayed 4 nights at EVEN for our son's Columbia U. graduation. We loved its wellness theme from the moment we walked in and saw the living plant wall and the giant doggie bed for the GM's dog Wellington in the lobby. The modern rooms, with their cork floors and mood lighting, are carefully designed to provide everything you need for your stay including well chosen in-room exercise equipment and a free sports bottle you can refill and take with you at the end of your stay. I love finding new boutique hotels for my visits to NYC. Excellent, modern clean hotel with a theme around fitness and well-being. Check-in was a breeze, with offers of fresh infused water and towel. Rooms are typical NYC size, but are modern, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying hear again.

Everything about the hotel was great. Location is solid, close to Time Square. Everything is new and very comfortable and modern. Only reason I can not give it 5 stars is because the maids were extremely loud every morning. Slamming doors that woke me up every morning. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was slamming because the hotel room doors do not slam. Either way she did not care at all about how loud she was being and on vacation I like to enjoy my sleeping in. Other than that ... Read more

Chanced upon this hotel as we are looking for hotels near a Penn Station. It was quite new. I love the concept of healthy living and how they provide us with simple exercise equipment for us to exercise. Each room even came with a complimentary water tumbler, for us to stay hydrated. New modern hotel near many New York attractions. 10 minute walk to Times Square and a little further up to most of the Broadway theaters (or about two stops on the subway). Very close to Penn Station subway stop for quick access to lower Manhattan. Right next to the Lincoln tunnel for easy access from New Jersey if you are flying in or out of Newark Airport. Very helpful staff. Basic exercise equipment in each room is probably more novelty than it's worth, but it's there if you want it. Wa... Read more

I know that I shouldn't expect much in the way of the size of hotel rooms in NY, but we literally had to move furniture so we wouldn't stub our toes when we were walking around the room. There was barely enough room between the end of the bed and the desk, so we had to move the desk out of the way. The workout equipment was a nice touch, but there wasn't enough room to take advantage of it. The rooms that are shown online look way larger. I had a few issues with my room, but they went above and beyond, without me even asking, to remedy all my issues and make me feel welcomed. Literally almost hidden -- you may even miss it the first time, given the location. This is a "wellness"-themed hotel, that offers healthier food options, in-room exercise equipment such as yoga mats and resistance bands and LED mood lighting. Rooms aren't huge but they are well thought-out, with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, and the price is quite good considering it's practically in the center of NYC.

Really no major negatives here, considering this hotel is in Times Square. VERY modern, clean, and keeping up with the tech times in terms of in-room amenities...be it location of USB ports convenient for charging, or LED mood lighting. For some, the rooms may feel a little compact/cozy and noisy. But that's an acceptable trade-off IMHO, to be within walking distance of all major NYC attractions. Finally, very friendly front desk staff. Truly refreshing in the Big Apple!

Opened in November 2015, modern new design, comfortable, provides exercise equipment and brochure on using it. Relatively quiet, especially on the street side on upper floor since West 35th St is very little used. When the construction in the back has finished, the back side rooms will be very desirable too. Take care that the upper floors are noisier because of an air ventilation system that brings forced air into the rooms. The top floor is also under the building generator. There is a rest... The friendly front desk staff, quiet and comfy bed made my 8 day stay here tolerable. I found the hotel ambiance to be hard and cold without a decent surface to rest on that wasn't wooden, metal and hard. The hotel has a functional gym with free weights, cross trainers, running machines, bikes a single rower and a couple of resistance machines. It is distinctive in that rooms have yoga mats, tension bands and an exercise ball - and when you switch the television on it defaults to ... Read more

Overall we had a great experience at this hotel. The location is near Madison Square Garden, which makes it walking distance from Broadway attractions and the myriad of restaurants in Hell's Kitchen. The rooms are very modern. You scan your room card against a sensor to enter the room, use the elevator, workout room, etc. Each room has a fitness station that runs from ceiling to floor so you can use exercise bands to do various workouts (also an exercise ball, a mat and other gear). We loved the hotel. Just a short walk to Times Square and very short walk to Madison Square Garden (we went to a concert). Also, one block to the subway that will take you to the 911 memorial and Battery Park. Hotel was very roomy, modern, clean and had a very good sized bathroom and shower. For the eight years since I left NY I took the train to NYP if I didn't have a ride or drive myself(parking got to be more and more uncertain as the years went by), would drag my suitcase down the stairs to the crowded LIRR boarding area and then up and up again to the Number 1 Seventh Avenue subway, which I was happy to do(!) but now the train from my new city is usually an hour late; so it's nice to arrive and just set my bag down without the whole transportation effect(although NYC subways ... The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and we were very happy to have a room on the 25th floor - there's 26! We did have a view outside of our room but looking towards the right - straight on was a building in the middle of being constructed. The room, although not very big has everything you need including a mini gym IN the room - exercise ball... ... Read more

We wanted to try a new hotel from the usual ones we stay in. Even is a breath of fresh air! I am into fitness so this hotel was meant for me! They have workout equipment in each room and when you turn the TV on a workout routine is showing. The staff went above and beyond making us feel welcome when we checked in. I wish I would have got her name but the girl that checked us in actually show us around!! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip to NY. Service was good. Offered tea on arrival. Room was clean and functional. Decent enough size for a single person with clean bathroom, TV, table etc. There are yoga and fitness facilities in the room, such as a gym ball and stretch rope. There are dedicated TV channels to workouts and yoga and there is clearly a theme of wellness throughout. It's not really my thing but this was a business booking not made my me so no complaints. The breakfasts a... Read more

Fantastic hotel with modern design. Room was a great place to relax - incredibly comfortable beds, massive selection of TV channels, fitness equipment in rooms, good bathroom. Great location about 30 seconds from the nearest subway entrance, and convenient to walk to pretty much anywhere in Midtown. I'd definitely return here next time I'm in NY.

My husband & I stayed at the hotel for an overnight. I chose this hotel as it was so convenient to everything. For us we commuted from NJ into Penn Station and the hotel was just a short walk. Later we were able to walk to Madison Square Garden for an evening concert. The hotel is like non other that I have experienced where the focus is on wellness for the traveler, and does it ever live up to that concept!! Exercise mat and equipment provided in the room; Healthy food options at breakfast; ve... Read more

When I booked this hotel, all I wanted was a good base as I was running the NYC Marathon. This is amazing! The hotel blew me away. Brand new, extremely clean, cool looking and service was great. The room was not large but very well designed and I even had workout equipment in my room. I seriously was sad to leave, I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy everything. Highly recommend!

This hotel is a gem - a small oasis in the big city. The ambiance inside is modern but homey at the same time. Vibrant yet soothing. The rooms are well designed and comfortable, everything from the lighting to the exercise equipment was a pleasant surprise. My daughter and I decided to just eat dinner downstairs at the Cork & Kale restaurant. It is very casual with a somewhat limited menu but they did have a full bar. It was PERFECT for us because we had a long trip and were happy to be able t... Read more

I never imagined that I'd give a five-star rating to an IHG property, except possibly one of its Kimpton brand hotels. I tend to associate the IHG name with its nice--but lower end--properties like Indigo or even Holiday Inn. Don't get me wrong: Even on West 35th is certainly not a luxury hotel, and it doesn't pretend to be. It just does what it does extremely well. So don't expect a doorman, a posh lobby, or a turn down service. Do expect a brightly lit front desk with friendly, casual ... Read more

We had a great stay at the EVEN Hotel. The accommodations were amazingly clean. The rooms and common areas were immaculate. Comfortable beds, though not very comfortable pillows. Having to use the key card for the elevator is good for security but a nuisance when you have your hands full. We didn't eat there but generally the cafe area seemed quiet/unused. Couldn't get wifi to work. All little things, as again the hotel screams nice and new. Our only complaint really was the location, which isn'... Read more

Stayed here for two nights. The workout stations in each room were a nice touch. The DirecTV service begins with 10+ channels of workout routines on loop so you can catch a variety of workouts at any given time. Great full gym and full bar on site as well. The bar served a worthy breakfast and great company behind the bar if you wish to have a conversation. This hotel feels a bit like a slice of the future in hotels. Looking forward to staying there again.

I stay here 2-3 a month on business & I wouldn't "EVEN" consider any other hotel. I get some of my best nights of sleep here. The staff is so unbelievably professional, kind, hard-working, especially considering that they're relatively young. I think the GM's commitment to excellent service & the youthful energy of the staff just works. The rooms are spacious, brand new, perfectly designed, cheerful, beautifully cleaned & maintained. And I'm a sucker for the adjustable mood light behind the... Read more

Loved this hotel. It's central so I didn't spend a lot of time there but it was perfect. There are common areas to spend time should one wish to do so. The location was excellent just a short walk from Macy's etc. Staff were super-friendly and helpful and thought of everything. The gym is well equipped (really good gym for a hotel), the room was spotless, large and very comfortable. Perfect to explore NY in comfort!

I think it's really smart that they are focusing on health and wellness especially for people constantly on the go.

The common areas were well kept and very clean, including the ping pong room which I probably spent more time in than i should have. For the first time in a very long while, there are several new hotel options in midtown. The EVEN is a particularly good option. It is reasonably priced (relatively speaking for NYC) and is a perfect location if you plan to be in the MSGarden area. It is literally a block and a half east and then two blocks south to the Garden. The EVEN's marketing point of differentiation is that it has a "wellness" focus which is evident in many features - most good and a few annoying. The premier featu... Read more
