I have to say first and foremost the staff of The Roger were WONDERFUl! Everyone was kind and diligent in their work and making me feel at home. Plenty of umbrella to lend when the rain and snow moved in by surprise. The door man directed me to a shoe store nearby where I could get galoshes in a hurry. Turns out it was a very nice store and I picked up a few cute shoes. Yes it's near everything. Mid-town/Korea-town. If it weren't such bad weather I could have walked anywhere in 30 mins. I ... We originally found this hotel on the mr& mrs smith web site but saved money by using a local travel agent. We were checked in by Andrew who was charming and funny and gave us a number of rooms to select from. When we got to our room we found it was on the 6th floor next to the elevator, i had concerns with noise but it never kept us awake. The room was a little on the small size but clean along with a very comfy bed. Housekeeping was freindly. Breakfast was on the mezzanine floor but at $30 a h... Read more

The bathroom was very small; didn't care much for the open door style of the shower. The staff and service provided was excellent. Responded to requests immediately and I was appreciative of that. Great location.

This hotel is a gem! It's in a great location, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is fantastic. I'd definitely stay here again and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet spot to sleep within walking distance of everything you need!

Overall it was ok. First night they put me in a handicapped accessible room which I would have liked to have gotten notice before I went up tot he room. It was very oddly configured and the bathroom while perfect for someone with disabilities it not especially comfortable for me. I requested another room for the second night. The place was over all "ok" but seemed to lack some of the finer details/finishes I was expecting. Gym is very small. I had breakfast and for $37 dollars hardly worth ... Read more

Distant family converged on the Roger for a reunion at a memorial service for a beloved family member. The Roger was the perfect setting for us to all be together in a perfect location right downtown. We hung out in the mezzanine lounge most evenings and had a wonderful time. Service was outstanding and the rooms were very comfortable. The place is classy - vintage New York with wonderful textured design elements that were very cool. Loved the collection of behind the scenesblack and white p... Read more

We returned to this hotel after attending our friends wedding the year before. However this time we returning for a special occasion, my proposal to my fiancee during the holiday season. Overall the staff we're friendly and helpful. The manager Jeff Hentze is a great example of a manager who listens to the client and goes out of his to make the client feel special. As it was a special occasion Jeff did all he could to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Now there were a few mishaps with st... Read more

This hotel had very friendly service, and the room size was decent. Since I am from the South, I was not comfortable sleeping without any air conditioning. The staff did open the window for me, but then I was forced to hear the loud noises of NYC. If you can bare the heat, then I would recommend this hotel

Super charming and really well designed hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and made every effort to accommodate us. The room was smallish but good size for NYC, and very comfortable. We can't wait to stay here again!

You would think I'd give this hotel at least four stars but I can't. It has nice clean rooms, a great location and a super friendly staff. My only real complaint is the heat! The room was dry and in spite of my lowering the thermostat, HOT! I mentioned this to the front desk which informed me they've had this problem and they tell guests to turn off the fan. Good advice but a day late and a dollar short. Other than this, the hotel is a home run and a good deal. But it is all ab... Read more
