We booked three rooms at this hotel for a family event in NY. The prices are decent for NY. Rooms are pretty spacious and beds are comfortable. Restaurant is great. A little noisy, cleanliness is below average, customer service is lacking. Parking is about 6 minutes away, no bell hop to get luggage, and car service they use is overpriced..use UBER. No fridge in standard or king rooms, coffee maker in rooms but no cups. Lounge area has ice but there are no cups or ice buckets in's a... Read more

I picked this hotel as it was affordable for New York and is located right near the "R" train Station which is very convenient to go into Manhattan (approx. 30mns on the train. The hotel is also only 15 mns drive from La Guardia airport. This hotel is unconventional but the room was large and had everything that was needed. The bed was very comfortable and I was able to have a much needed rest after a long plane trip. The check-in was very slow as reception staff is slow or seems to be overwhelm... Read more

Upon walking into the hotel, I had high hopes for what the room would be like! Very cool decor, lots of antiques, and very trendy. However, the room we were in was not at all spacious like the website boasts. In fact, the overall setup was completely strange. We stayed in a superior queen room. I am really disappointed that I paid over $550 to stay in this hotel for two nights when they didn't even have the basic a closet or hangers, for example. We had stayed in an econo lodge ... I really enjoyed my overnight stay here! The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. There were so many neat things to look at that I wish I had more time to look around. Stayed over a holiday weekend and did not hear any type of noise disturbance. It was quiet enough to hear the rain outside. I will be back next time that I'm in the area!

Only two complaints I could make...the temp of the room (thermostat would not allow us to raise the temp only lower it), and they really should add little coffee/tea makers to the rooms. First, this hotel is in Queens, but it is so close to Manhattan that the distance is irrelevant. I have visited NYC many times and have paid twice as much for dirty converted closets on noisy streets in various parts of Manhattan. TPF is located in an industrial area with a subway stop a few feet away, easy access to anywhere. You will pay half as much for a whole lot more room and comfort. This place would have been a whole lot better if I knew that it was going to have an event the night I checked in. It was literally a club scene. On top of the pulsating music and wall to wall people, drums started beating out on the street, complete with strobe lights at around 12:30. I didn't get to sleep until 2:00 am. Make sure you find out if the hotel will be operating as a dance club the night of your visit. Unless of course you go to hotels to not sleep.

After our flight was cancelled, we found this hotel that I'd quantify as boutique. Lots of art installments. Had to share a King bed with my traveling companion, but after grasshopper tacos and tequila at a walkable Mexican place, and super craft cocktails at their hotel bar, Mundo, that wasn't an issue. We had a time. This is a great place to spend time in Astoria/queens.

The Paper Factory has an off-beat flair, which makes it a fun place to stay. My room was spacious, and everything worked well (though I heard another customer complaining about an iron or something). The restaurant is good, and the location is also pretty good - very close to a metro stop, meaning you can be in Manhattan in 10-15 mins. The equipment in the gym isn't the best, and the elevator is frustratingly slow.

Stayed at the hotel so we would be able to walk to the Museum of the Moving Image. This hotel was beautiful with a LOT of great touches. Front Desk was very helpful in suggesting a place eat (Mexican restaurant within walking distance that was delicious). Close to the museum and a theater. Bank of America card holders can get FREE admission to this museum the 1st week-end of every month.

My first time staying in Queens and really enjoyed my stay at The Paper Factory. Interesting industrial decor, huge shower, and well equipped gym were some of the positives. It was a breeze to catch the Subway right down the street, especially coming from JFK or a quick ride into Manhattan. Nice front desk who was proud to tell me about the property, and I had very pleasant exchange with a friendly team member on the maintenance staff, which tells me this place is well run and buttoned up. Well, first of all, the hotel is terrific‚??has a very eclectic and vital feel. Highly recommend. But I‚??m particularly posting to praise the off-the-charts customer service response to a problem, specifically the response of staff member Altynay Diaz. First the problem: when I checked in my room wasn‚??t ready yet (not a problem, I was very early). I checked in at about the same time a large wedding party was leaving, so my bag accidentally got mixed up with theirs. So, a mistake was made. ... Read more

The hotel is great, a visual treat for the eyes. The staff was very friendly, and I felt completely safe leaving my luggage with them before we checked in and after we checked out and had some time to kill before our flight. The location is very convenient. close by to subway stations that can take you to Central Park in about 30-40 minutes. There are plenty of good places to eat within 15 minute walk (check out Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee Company - TO DIE FOR), and there's even a movie theater ... Read more

This was the worst hotel ive ever stayed at. no fridge, no room service, central ac in rooms. management just ignores you and the prices in the hotel are triple what they should be. all in all i would never tell anyone to stay here.

This was our first stay here and I would definitely come back. The room was perfect for a mother/daughter pair with a comfy king size bed and enough space for two. The room is simply appointed with exactly what you need- desk, coffee, complimentary water, tv, and nice toiletrie items provided. I was pleasantly surprised when our room was ready for an early check-in. This doesn't usually happen at other hotels! We checked in quickly and easily and were settled in our room in a matter of minu... Read more

I enjoyed staying at Paper Factory Hotel! Very nice and spacious rooms... Beautifully decorated. Charming ambient. All of this in a very convenient location, just a few steps away from the subway station, where the main lines lead you to the heart of Manhattan in ten minutes! All members of the staff were very helpful, especially Natasha Forbs, at Front Desk, who was very kind and attentive during my stay. That made me feel at home. I will certainly come back to Paper Factory Hotel next time I... Read more

Room was very nice and large for NYC. Very nice fitness room and great but expensive restaurant on premises. visiting my son who lives nearby so great choice. For a tourist though location might be a disappointment . Very near a subway so midtown is an easy ride. The area by the hotel however has nothing to offer unless you are looking to buy a Mercedes, get gas, or are looking for a storage facility.

The decor and feel of the hotel was funky, chic, quirky and unique. You wouldn't think to find a fun and trendy hotel in such an industrial area. The bar itself was impressively designed. Although we had a short stay our visit was fun and memorable. My only critique is there was no parking lot available for guests only street and metered parking.
