I think this is a nice place to stay if you want to be close to Times Square. I was here on business for one day, but it was within 3 blocks of all my meetings. It was very reasonably priced. No microwave or fridge in rooms, which would have been nice. Wi-Fi was slow at times. Breakfast was ok. Mostly bagels, bread for toast, boiled eggs and some cereal/fruit, yogurt. I decided to go next door to Chic-Fil-A. I like hot breakfast. Bed was super comfy. Bathroom was small but functional. You're 2... Read more

Booked this hotel and cancelled it very quickly afterwards. They still took full charges even though they could clearly let the room out again. Spoke to various people in the hotel and no one was willing to review the charges. The various people I spoke to on the phone were rude and extremely unhelpful Complete rip off and if that's the way they treat you on the phone then I wouldn't hold out much hope for how they treat you in person.

The strongest point of this hotel is the localization. Nestled to the heart of Manhattan. The breakfast is a total mess. The rooms don't have a minibar and the mattress are too soft. You pay more than what the hotel delivers. But it's still a good option in the heart of NY! .

We stayed for one night. The Hotel personnel were very friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet! We were three friends in NYC for a Broadway show. The hotel was near Times Square and walking distance to all we wanted to see. There is a continental breakfast in the mornings, and it was good. I would recommend anyone book a room there.

Stayed here for our Anniversary and Valentine's Day. Lift was broke so had the use the service elevator which was extremely old. Room was very basic and dated. Could not decipher who were hotel staff as they had no uniform ( some just stood around in jeans and jumper). Waiter at breakfast was grumpy and rude. Only positive is its close to Times Square. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location-subway stops, theater district, Times Square, Rockefeller Center-everything is close and really easy to walk to. Lower Manhattan and the other neighborhoods are easy to get to via the subway, and the stations are close, too. Hotel staff are guardedly friendly & not all that helpful or knowledgeable as to directions, recommendations etc. The concierge does not work for the hotel but is outsourced-they are helpful. Free breakfast which is a bonus, ok its a continental breakie but there are hard boils eggs, cereal's, toast, fruit and cakes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well positioned being only a few minutes walk from Times Square. We even walked to Central Park. Well worth the money.

The location was fabulous. We were only blocks away from Times Square and 30 Rockefeller Center. We were able to walk to most of our tourist destinations. The service at the hotel was fabulous. We arrived to the hotel hours before check-in time. We were simply hoping to be able to drop off our luggage so that we could begin our vacation. Instead, because our room was available, they let us check into our room. Who does that?! This hotel does! Also, the breakfast was filling and good.

The location is great--just a few blocks from Times Square. And the price is very reasonable if you're looking for a bargain in NYC. They have a large breakfast room and serve a nice continental breakfast. We appreciated the hard boiled eggs and yogurt in addition to cereal and bagels. This is a nice hotel with a very nice staff and a fantastic location in Midtown. While the hotel is not as nice as a major chain it served our families needs. One block from 5th avenue shopping 2 blocks from Rockefeller center 3 blocks from time square n Bryant park!! Continental breakfast is nothing special but good for something quick before starting your day. Room was a little small but still fine. Parking right across the street. We spent 4 nights here this last week. The hotel does need some up dates but overall a great value. Room wasn't overly big but nice sized - comfortable for 4 people. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice size. M train access just around the corner, food trucks park across from hotel during the week and Chick-fil-a on the corner (boys loved that!) Wallpaper pulled off, molding removed, and the bed mattress sagged so much that we had to shorten our stay because every morning I had a terrible backache - so bad I could not straighten up for two days after we left. Never again. I recommend viewing room before checking in. Check bed thoroughly. Also, breakfast area too crowded; hard to find a plac... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in September. It was central for all our needs, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and with breakfast it allowed us to eat first while we planned our day. The roof top bar was a good place to meet up before going out for a meal in the evening. Would stay here again

This hotel's main advantage is the locations. It's literally minutes from Times Square! Other close landmarks include The Empire State, Fifth Avenue, The Chrysler Building, The Rockefeller Centre, the harbour for night cruises, Broadway and much much more. The rooms were adequate, a little old fashioned/shabby but always clean, included a bath/shower, towels clean, basic coffee making facilities etc. Free coffee/water throughout the day and a very informal cafeteria style breakfast (paper plate... Rooms are spacious and the location is great. 5 minutes walk to times sq. and even less to Fifth Avenue. Breakfast isn??t so good. Coffee, toasts + cream cheese / jam, donuts, apples/bananas. No vegetables. Plastic cups, plates, knives and forks.

The Hotel is a no frills older hotel that offers amazing location, a free basic breakfast buffet, free WIFI and a clean basic room. We had a room at the front but the street noise did not bother us we were so tired from our day of exploring. Free coffee, tea and water in the lobby is a nice touch. We would stay here for our next trip to NYC

We stayed here from 5/10/16 to 10/10/16 and cannot fault it.Our room was perfectly adequate, it was clean, towels were changed daily, bedding changed on request plus the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble..The breakfast was perfectly adequate, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juice, bagels, toast, waffles, cakes, eggs, pancakes & cereals plus coffee. We would definitely stay again on a return visit to New York.

The rooms were clean and beds average. The shower stall was on the dingy side. Also, for some unknown reason the bed alarm went off the first morning at 6am, and we did not set the alarm. The tv also came on automatically at 6am every morning. Odd. Best thing about the hotel was that it was in walking distance of everything we wanted to do/see, no subways or taxis needed.

First visit to New York. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and breakfast was handy for grab and go. Excellent location right next to Time Square. It literally takes you 3 minutes and you're there. We did not speak to the staff but they seemed friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. You get what you pay for and whats not to love?!

Well, where to begin.. If you are used to staying at a motel 6, red roof in or the like, go ahead and book here. You won't be disappointed. If you, like me, expect much more from a hotel, like clean rooms, friendly service, front desk personnel who can speak and understand English, then just Don't! Room was microscopic, dirty, the bathroom window, which looks to be about 85 years old didn't close, walls in hall were gouged, beat up and papered over (like no one would see it). Beds were mediocre... Read more

Close to Times Square. Good wifi in room, continental breakfast, very nice coffee machine in lobby, and clean cozy room on smallish side. Room on upper floor is quiet. Allow wait time for slow elevator in the back of hotel for some rooms. Room safe situated on high shelf in closet which is difficult to reach. Hotel has complimentary luggage storage after checkout.

A block and a half from Times Square is a great location but the hotel looks very tired and dated. We stayed from three nights after a cruise. It was basically a sleep factory. Check in was brisk but unfriendly and we were guided to the back of the hotel and up to the 6th floor - looked out on a brick wall with blacked out windows - the room was adequate but very dated and in need of a new fresh coat of paint. There was plenty of storage. The lady on the tourist desk in the morning was very... Read more

The Hotel is between 5th and 6th Avenue on west 46 street. Cross over 6th Avenue and you hit Times Square. We had a twin room and had 2 queen beds. They were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. There were several USB points which made charging phones, etc, very easy and free Wi Fi. There was coffee making facilities and plenty of hot water in the shower. The only small complaint was there was no natural light in the room. The windows looked onto a "well" and the only way we could tell if ... Read more

This is a basic but clean hotel. Excellent location, near lots of great places you'll want to visit. Staff fairly rude and unhelpful Breakfast is mediocre at best, actually nasty at times. Choose plain stuff. Room (908) is well appointed but no kettle. Had a quiet, peaceful night in an extremely comfortable bed. In all, hotel is a bit shabby, staff unpleasant, but location , comfort and price are very good!

As a frequent business traveler who has stayed in all levels of hotels around the world, I do consider myself a fair and reasonable judge of quality of stay. The Hotel at Times Square was booked for me by a client, though I guided the reservation based on TripAdvisor reviews. The location is very convenient for those wanting to be near Times Square and Broadway. From what I could tell, it's also very popular with large groups, though this may vary throughout the year. The hotel check-in pr... Read more

I would have rated this hotel 5/5: perfect central location, clean, very well equiped and more-than-average sized rooms, good buffette breakfast included in price and free wifi. Its not cheap but neither expensive, and you get what you paid for. The opposite comes about the staff: unhelpful and unpolite, and thats not what i expect when i pay a 2000 usd bill. I booked a shuttle to the airport the day before departure with the hotel. After checkout i asked front desk Ella if she could please ch... Read more

This was an average stay. Close to time square. The amenities were standard. We had requested a room with a view but did not expect the view to be to a street and tour bus stop right outside our window. Be ware there is no room with a view.

This hotel was close walking distance to Times Square, Grand Central Station, and Central Park. It was clean and good value for the price. Yes the rooms are small and the window looked out into the crack between buildings but I didn't expect more. The breakfast area was OK. Its very crowded and the food is OK. I ate cereal every morning but they have yogurt, breads, bagels, donuts, juice, hard boiled eggs etc. They have a cappuccino maker in the lobby which was pretty good. The concierge ... Read more

We've stayed at this location almost yearly for maybe twenty years (it had changed hands a few times in the earlier years). Anyways, it fits our bill - reasonable rates, good renovated rooms, clean, brekkie, gym and great location - near 30 Rock, Times Sq etc etc. Good restos nearby as well which is not a surprise since it is NYC, afterall! Staff is very helpful. Actually the staff remembers us and we also remember them. Low staff turnover is always a good sign of a well run business. We've refe... Read more

Went for 3 nights in October, and must say we will definetly be returning. Within a 5 minute walk to Times Square and across the road from a belting Deli serving the best Cuban Sandwich I have ever had. We were on a Bed an Breakfast tariff which is a lovely touch. The bagels and coffee set us up well. Be early if you want any Danish's or donuts. There's also a coffee machine in the lobby so you can get a drink at anytime. The room was comfy and kept clean. This is a budget - mid-price hotel in a great location, which was one of the few hotels under $300 on the Veterans Day weekend. The room was comfortable and beds relatively new and shower and bathroom perfectly fine. The only detraction was single glazing, which means it's going to get cold in the bathroom in winter. Owner should consider secondary glazing in bathrooms. Otherwise a good stay for the money.

With all the pricey hotels in and around Time Square I was worried about this hotel being cheaper. After reading the reviews I felt more comfortable. The biggest plus was the location, literally 3 blocks from Time Square or Broadway then the next was the free breakfast which is extremely hard to come by in/near TQ. The breakfast wasn't extravagant by any means but more than donuts, bagels and juice. There was cold cereal, oatmeal, bagels & cream cheese, a variety of donuts and muffins, cold ... Read more

This is a really good clean and inviting hotel, the property is very clean inside and out. We arrived about 12.30 and was checked in straight away even though check in wasn't until 3pm, our room was on the 12th floor and had a nice view, the bed was huge and very comfy, the room was spacious and again clean and was serviced daily, we had a small walk in closet with iron, ironing board, hairdryer and an in room safe.
