I stayed here one night after a long cross country flight and arriving late. The front desk staff sent me to a room that was already occupied! Nothing like waking up a complete stranger who thinks you're trying to break into his room. When I went back to the front desk, the guy who did this didn't apologize, but looked very embarrassed. Another staff member apologized for him. To be fair, when I explained what happened to the front desk when I checked out the next morning, they gave me a free st... Read more

The hotel is OK. Clean. The service was very good. Restaurant OK but nothing special. The neighborhood is sketchy so we never left the hotel. Airport shuttle ran on time. We left early so the whole breakfast wasn't available yet but they had a standard continental breakfast set out for early risers.

Had to find a hotel at the last minute to attend a funeral. Brooklyn & Queens are not known for there hotels & customer service is subpar to nonexistent. However, I was received with a warm welcome, clean fresh lobby and a room that was well kept. They overdid the room freshener, but that was the only real complaint. If you have to crash near the airport choose this place. There is a $13 valet parking, but it's New York.

Good hotel for an overnight stay. Front desk Staff was wonderful! Manager always making sure your stay is comfortable!! Great place to stay airport pick up great service!! Only downside is location. If you have time to go to NYC or mall, it is not convenient.

This hotel had a decent price considering it is near NYC. They have a shuttle that will take you to the subway station at a couple designated times. Too bad they don't pick you up from the subway station upon your return also. (We took a cab from the station to the hotel and it cost about $15. They are waiting outside the station and we asked them how much before we got in - I recommend you do the same.) They have parking which involves putting your car up in a "lift." They ask when you wi... Read more

The staff at this hotel are among the most friendly and accommodating I've encountered in many a hotel stay. I was allowed to check in early, they even sent a supervisor to make sure my room was prepared and satisfactorily stocked with welcome items (water etc). I had a package to be delivered, they were attentive to it and called me the minute it arrived, knowing I was departing on a flight in the afternoon. The room had a fridge, a microwave, the standard coffee maker (with good coffee!) a... Read more

This is as close as you can get to JFK and a very good option. The unlovely neighborhood shouldn't put a damper on your stay. It didn't for us. There's a postage stamp garden out front and a good restaurant inside. The rooms are clean and well appointed. We were treated to a full hot breakfast as part of the room rate at 5:00 am and their free airport shuttle starts at 4:00 am so getting to JFK was a snap. We were told only a continental breakfast would be available that early but clearly not t... Read more

Allocated room 309 on arrival. The hotel provided evening meals. It was a resonable menu, the quality was just about acceptable. I felt safe in this hotel, the security was better than at some nearby hotels. Hotel transfer bus to the airport worked well, I used a taxi from JFK to the airport at a cost of $20, including tip. I was happy to pay this instead of using the airtrain to the hotel transport pickup point with suitcase. $440.76 for two nights acomadation is on the high side but hotels... Read more

We stayed one night. Hotel is nice, reasonable updated and clean. Rooms are comfy. Location is not ideal, very little dining options immediately available but they do offer a reasonably generous shuttle option within certain hours.

It got us a ride to JFK early in the morning... So it served it's purpose - one of the staff helped with our luggage while my husband parked the car upon arrival so that was a plus - if you need a hotel to stay and park your car when you travel, it's an ok choice.

I complained to the front desk about they never answer the phone. I've stayed here before with the same issue, if you call the front desk they are in no hurry to answer the phone. Once i had to go down to the lobby to ask my question. I asked if the manager instructed them not to answer the phone. I was told i probably dialed the wrong number. Ironically i did not get points for that stay and now i have to do the ground work of getting my points for stay. Great management!!

The Washington D.C. to JFK portion of my 25 hour trip to Africa was cancelled and there were no other flight options to get me in before the next leg so I took a train to Penn Station and overnighted here at the Fairfield Inn the night before my flight so I could connect with the rest of my flight in the morning. The Uber cost me around $30 from Penn Station and it took about 30 minutes. Traffic was light as I got in around 10PM. Check in was empty and the guy at the counter super nice. My r... Read more

We had a red eye flight and didn't get to the airport till 4ish in the morning. The free shuttle took us from JFK to the hotel in just a few mins. When we checked in at about 5am, there's another guest checking out at the same time! It's good that breakfast was already available so we ate before catching some sleep. The reception asked if we want to have a late check out (normal at 12noon), but we didn't take the offer as we wanna go out to manhattan before catching our evening flight home. ... Read more

Part deux of flight cancellation adventures in 07/2016. Stayed here overnight for short layover of literally only a few hours so didn't have an opportunity to check out all of the amenities. The breakfast buffet looked like it would have been pretty decent from just seeing the hot dish warmers in the dark at 4AM, however. Room and public areas were clean and well-equipped with speedy wifi. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning unit only has a rotary knob instead of precise temperature controls,... Read more

Stayed here the night of June 30th due to missed connection. We required several rooms and they were quick at responding and quickly set us up with reservations. They told us where the transportation shuttles were and we were off to the hotel. Front desk was friendly and efficient. The little elevator that takes you from the lobby to the 1st floor was a little shaky; however, nothing awful. The room was a good size, didn't have any smell concerns or amenity concerns. I had to stay here because my Delta flight was cancelled. The room provided a bed, a microwave and coffee well as a trash can full of water in the bathroom, as well as the most fowl, horrible smell. Additionally, the front desk gentleman was the rudest person I've ever met at a marriott. My room card/key wouldn't work and upon going back for help, he accused me of being at fault and rude for asking for help. I've never experienced such matters and issues at a Marriott, or at ... Had early morning flight at 630 am, so decided to stay and park here. Great option for about 300 total. 10 days of parking plus a nights stay.nShuttle runs to airport every half hour and there is a shuttle available on way back to. And your car is back to you in less than 5 minutes, as opposed to the big lots where it takes longer and there is paperwork. Wouldn't choose Fairfield Inn for any other reason then fling out of JFK.

I recently had a stay this weekend 7/23/16 at the lower end Marriott. What started out to be a great experience quickly down spiraled. I used my mobile check in app to get and early check-in. They were able to accommodate me at around 10 am. When I walked into the room it was clean but a little hot. It was a heat wave so I just turned the air condition up, or so I thought. I stayed here on an extended layover at JFK. Getting to the hotel required taking the AirTrain but that's the fault of JFK. Shuttle back was quick and efficient. The rooms were small. The walls were paper thin. Rooms weren't cheap. Staff was efficient. Like I said, a typical New York airport hotel.

This was my sixth stay at the Fairfield Inn - New York JFK Airport and once again it was a very pleasant and undisturbed stay. This hotel has very easy access to the New York JFK International Airport which is on the Eastern side of New York City. It has a very unique parking lot at the rear of the building as they stack the parked cars four high! They also have a great JFK Bus Shuttle which drops you off at your gate as well as collectâ??s you from the JFK AIR TRAIN Station C / Federal Circle. ... Read more

I had minimal problems in getting from JFK to Fairfield Inn and the shuttle driver and check-in staff were welcoming and it was a good kickstart to a holiday. My husband have had a hectic week of meetings and finally settled in for the night at about midnight. We were rudely awakened at 1.20 am with the sound of someone attempting to open our room door. It is in the vicinity of JFK airport.Even at mid night, check in was a breeze. The surprising part is that the hotel didn't accept a travel card, little disappointed with that. Parking is chargeable as well.Otherwise the accommodation and breakfast are really good. It is definitely worth considering being a Marriot group hotel.I would definitely prefer to stay here again....

Great hotel located literally 5 minutes away from JFK with a free shuttle to your terminal. Free hot breakfast which was typical Marriott and pretty decent. Weird thing was the elevator which you had to take down one level, and then cross the hallway to take another elevator to your floor. Very awkward with a lot of luggage. Checked in just after midnight with no problems.

We caught a cab from terminal seven to the hotel which only took a few minutes. Check in was quick and easy and the staff were friendly and efficient. The Room was small but the bed and the bathroom were both ok. There is a bistro for meals and the included breakfast was quite adequate. We would probably stay here again for an overnight stopover.

Check in was fine and all the personnel were very nice but the hotel is well named with "FAIR" field. Room was clean but small. The door were extremely heavy and very hard to maneuver through. The luggage carts were not the traditional nice size 4 wheeled units but more like the 3 wheeled ones at airports. If you need to use a cart, you have to take a cart, you need to use one elevator to go up a level and then switch to a different elevator to get upstairs. Annoying! A/C unit sounded like a tru... This is a good place to stay if you need an airport hotel. The bed was huge, the room less so but when all you want to do is sleep, the bed is more important than the size of the room. It was all very clean and check-in was very efficient. The aircon was a bit noisy. I had to wear earplugs but I am a light sleeper. Go looking for the shuttle bus when you get to the airport pick-up area. It was there all the time we were waiting but hidden behind other buses. That's a fault of the design of the... Read more

Upon check-in, we were given a room right next to the elevators and ice maker. The noise level was unbearable, so we had to insist on a new room. The rooms were small and unremarkable. Valet parking is the only option at this property, and guests are charged extra for this service. The breakfast in the restaurant was awful, with limited choices of bad food. My room was ideal for growing mushrooms, in fact it smelt like it too. It was musty and felt damp it was also incredibly small and expensive for what was provided. OK there is definitely an advantage being close to the Airport, but over $400 per night is a rip off. This place was only worth $185/night. We are in Italy each Spring and Fall (she must be obeyed, you know). We decided to add a visit to the 9/11 Museum in this Fall's Italy trip rather than go directly to Europe from Sacramento.
