I stayed 2 nights in this god awful hotel for business. The price seemed good and the hotel website pictures seemed ok. After the 2nd night I realized I made a big mistake. The mornings were so loud, the windows must be made of paper. I couldn't sleep past like 5:30 it was ridiculous. If you want a good night sleep this definitely IS NOT the hotel to go to. And the people staying in the hotel were also not a business class of people, I'm not sure who they are catering to but some of them were re... Read more

Annual seminar at corporate office. Checked in for weekend. Room was not ready at check in time. When we finally checked in bathroom still dirty, when called front desk said said housekeeping was off and when I asked for other room said I was told no manager was there to make those kind of decisions. Front desk very nasty and sarcastic. Never stay here again!!!!!

We checked in early but our room was ready. Any contact with the hotel staff was pleasant. The room was clean. The day we were leaving, the carpet outside our room was being replaced. The only complaint, a minor one, is that HBO is no longer available, even though it is still promoted in the room.

My wife and I stayed here for a bridge tournament. Next time we will stay somewhere else nearby. We had asked for a late check in and a king room. When we got there, there was no king room only a room with 2 doubles. The carpet was filthy and rippled so badly that it presented a tripping hazard at night. The hallway floors were filthy as well. Breakfast was so-so at $16 per person. The lighting in the room was dim - at best, and the place was noisy. The noise was no fault of management, but secu... Read more

Once checked in one can feel that this hotel is being neglected. Smelly carpets in hallway, Carpets in rooms are worn out and are folding. Coffeemaker not working, lamps not working. At the breakfast buffet I had to listen to an employee who complained about a guest saying there was a banana in the pool. She was ranting about the customer saying to another employee "Am I supposed to jump into the pool??". No don't jump in but let the pool caretaker know. We have a saying that the fish starts st... My room was ready upon my arrival. Jason at the front desk quickly made my room key available and directed me to my room. Jason also pointed out the location of the pool and location of dining accommodations. My two night stay was pleasing from beginning to end. Room was clean as well.

Very nice lobby with a bar. Wireless internet in the lobby only! We had no internet in the room at all and not enough signal to get it using our Verizon Wireless phones. We had two double beds. Not even queen. They were very small. Had bottled water in the room for $4 a bottle LOL. The rooms are old and dated.

This hotel is really outdated. The lobby is nice in a way. The rooms are really bad. We changed rooms 2 times. Jason at the front desk really helped out so much, he gave us new keys helped us with our luggage. He turned a real negative experience into a positive. For the future please update.

Stayed here for one night. The lobby looks like they've done some work, but not my room. The rug was very worn and had a big stain outside of the bathroom. The shower head was very low that I had to duck to rinse my head. The bed was fine, linens were clean, but overall, the room was tired and dated. WIFI was easy to connect to and worked fine. I had to unplug the lamp to charge my phone (no convenient outlets).

Terrible guest room: heavily soiled carpet, hair in bathroom, hair inside of clean folded towels, hair on telephone keypad, marks all over the wall, splatter all over lampshade, incessantly dripping tub faucet. So-so lobby (totally dead most of the time). Seems to be understaffed. Had to wait at bar for a good 10 minutes before anyone came over. Many times I've walked by the front desk and there is no one there. Requested a room change and the staff was very quick and responsive. Unfortunately, ... Read more

Three of us (one adult and 2 teenage girls) needed a place to stay for a night after some late hockey and everything else was either booked or $300 a night. We were nervous before we got to the hotel because of the ratings, but it ended up being just what we needed. The hotel staff was nice, there was plenty of room in the lobby and all the guests were pretty much smiling, the rooms were clean, and the water pressure in the shower was on point. The pool was nice, but we did have to wait a little... Read more

This hotel is poor quality and understaff. It is obviously affordable which speaks to the lack of appeals and perks. I like to workout so I was hugely disappointed with the fitness center. The hospitality is dreadful and my overall experience was poor.

We stayed here multiple times and the last 2 times by accident because of poor bidding on deal sites. The staff was excellent this time (yet we didnt have any major problems) and they were all very attentive. We had extremely low expectations. The back door is broken and open 24 hours and the neighborhood doesnt seem like the greatest so that could be a safety hazard. Our room was ok. The carpet was very dirty - it had probably been vacuumed - yet it was dirty, and the walls and bathroom ce... Read more

There were very few options when looking for a place to stay in this part of Long Island New York. I chose the Upsky based on its close proximity new our office and what i thought was their being a Sheraton properry. I'm still not sure about this. When logging into their wifi it takes you to the Sheraton Web page. Oh what a huge mistake! My first impression when walking into the lobby was that this hotel didn't look too bad, very dated but it looked ok. Then you look closer and notice the ... Read more

My son got married July 22, 2016. Before I could recommend a hotel for friends and family from out of town, I decided to go to each one personally. Upsky was one of the hotels I visited. They showed me a room which was nicely decorated and clean, and they offered guests coming for the wedding the price of $119.00. They called me a half dozen times after my visit to try to persuade me to sign the wedding contract for our guests, promising great rates, exceptionally beautiful newly refurbished roo... Read more

We stayed here as part of a wedding block. After making the reservation, I came on trip advisor and was very worried reading the reviews here. Is this hotel deplorable ? No. Is it luxurious ? No. I actually would have given them an average rating if it weren't for the fact that our toilet stopped working late at night and the only way to flush it , was by going into the tank and doing it manually. The room was worn , but clean and we thought the lobby was nice. After telling staff at check out a... Read more

Bed in particular was clean and comfortable. Room as slightly worn but not terrible. Very cold air conditioner -- if you like it cold you can get the room to super chilly and bundle up under the covers. Hallways smelled musty and perhaps even a little like pet urine (couldn't place what the smell was exactly). Lobby was clean (I think) but dark and a bit outdated. Friendly front desk. Not many hotels in this area so if you need a room you can feel confident that at least the bed is comf... Read more

This hotel is clearly undergoing some renovations so getting a good room seems to be just some luck. Stayed with some coworkers for a trip and each of our rooms were very different. The carpet and couch were gross in my room, but the bathroom and the bed were clean which was all I needed for a one-night stay. Would never choose this place, but I have stayed in worse and there are hardly any options in the area.

We looked for a cheap price at a local hotel w an indoor pool to escape the heat of a heat wave. We stayed one night at a poolside room and had a great time. The pool was heated ("very"warm) and clean. Our beds were clean and cozy. The staff were friendly. Took off two stars bc there was an odor in the room that we quickly got used to and a lot of areas need repair and updating. But for the value we couldn't be happier. Tip, mini fridges are first come first serve so ask for one in advanc... Read more

I can't offer any pictures because I want to spare you the disgusting experience. Let's just say I hope I don't get sick from this 24 hour experience. Thank god I got a tetanus shot not to long ago! Arrived on Saturday August Saturday August 13th. The temp outside was at least 98 but felt like 115. The entry to hotel was seemingly nice, Starbucks to the right & a full bar to the back. Check in was quick. Before heading to the room we stopped by to check out the indoor pool it appeared clean. ... Read more

My fiance and I stayed at the Upsky Long Island Hotel with some friends for a retro gaming convention. We booked two rooms for one night, and all of us had a poor experience in different ways. It was an abnormally hot weekend and while the air conditioning in the rooms worked very well, the rest of the hotel was far too hot. The lobby was like a sauna. It was so bad, we didn't eat any of our meals in the hotel, leaving to seek out any restaurant that had air conditioning. The rest of the ... Read more
