This is the best La Quinta I have stayed in. I travel often for business but this was a leisure trip therefore I wanted a very affordable and comfortable stay. The check-in was fast, the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was a little lacking but overall I would definitely stay here again.

We've been staying here for the last couple of years when we visit family. Over that time the hotel has been trying but its obviously having to make do with less. The breakfast is ok but doesn't have the variety it had 4 years ago. The room is clean but feels sparse. But I have to thank Eddy who was able to find three non-feather pillows for me. I have asthma and even though its on my profile and the front desk assured us that we'd have them by the time we returned that night, we didn't. E... Read more

Service is average, rooms are big, equipped with coffe makers, microwaves, fridge. Not very tidy. No restaurant or even bar in this hotel. You can buy food at the gas station or the nearest Garden Gourmet Caterers. Basic breakfast is served. Attentive hotel driver will take you to the mall or to the train station for a few dollars.

I paid over $200 for my night's stay at this hotel and it didn't impress me as a hotel that I would want to return to. I feel bad for the Air Berlin flight attendants that have to stay there, hope this doesn't reflect the quality of an Air Berlin flight. Fitness facility was limited and in poor shape. The water pressure in my bathroom was low and the water warm at best. Staff never responded to my call when I learned I left my diabetes medication and supplies there. Will not recommend.

Front desk was friendly and welcoming, room was clean and neat - BUT - no maid service during our stay, we had to go looking for the maid cart to drop off our used bath towels and replace them with fresh ones. No pool, and our request for a room fridge took 38 hours to deliver.

This hotel has a much luxurious feel but the wash wood make the room feel dated. It was very clean and spacious. I would defiantly stay there again. The hotel is located just 3 miles away from my event and right next to the great Garden City Mall.

I had never stayed at a La Quinta property, and despite not being happy about the price of hotel rooms on Long Island in general, was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. First, we had gotten a king suite and the room was HUGE! We're talking bigger than many studio apartments. There were 2 TVs, a small kitchen area with a table, sink, microwave and mini-fridge, a pullout sofa and a very big bathroom. There was more than enough room for a family of 4. The breakfast was a bit lacking as there was b... Read more

The rooms were great, pricey but okay. wanted a hot breakfast, but had only waffles and i am sorry I don't like waffles. May return if i have to go back to New York. New York is a great place to visit, The sauna was always crowded, and very small. need a indoor pool.

Facility was adequate but not outstanding. Although the location as convenient for my needs, it seemed overpriced for the value received. It is beginning to get just a tiny bit tired around the edges, so to speak.

I had two different rooms during my stay and both had bathroom tub drains which where back up. The toliet of one of them became stopped up due to no cause of my own. The one good thing was on my first night, I originally booked a double bed room but was given a family suite.

Overall I found hotel prices to be expensive in the area around Hofstra and this was fair value for quality received and convenience compared to other options. Rooms were comfortable and spacious enough here. Nothing could be heard from other rooms. Plumbing was fine with no issues. The air conditioning was a little loud but it worked as "white noise" for sleep. A microwave, safe, fridge and coffee maker were in room. I agree with other mentions of overall a "bit worn" feel but still fine. Ever... Read more

This was a business trip for us. The La Quinta was chosen by our hosts, inexpensive for the area but with adequate services. Staff were OK. Lots of parking, which was nice as we did end up with a rental before we left for a few days on Long Island before heading home. Hotel met all our needs and was relatively clean as well.

This was a last minute stay when I was on a business trip. The staff was pleasant to deal with. They offer a standard continental breakfast but I didn't have a chance to eat here. I would recommend staying here.

Good rest, rooms ok, BUT there is no Bar, no cafe, nothing to waste good time with guests or friends. It would be great. Breakfast could have more different possibilities to eat, maybe omelettes or vegetables. Working with companies would be a great deal and could be a winwin situation.

I've stayed here many times, and this time was not very good. Room is good, but, the desk chair looked like a Salvation Army pick up and TV was not very large. My keys failed multiple times, including twice at 2 am and once while trying to get in the door from outside. My room was not cleaned over the course of my stay, including a day when I was out from 10 until 5 in the afternoon. Breakfast was bare the one time I attempted it. The parking is fine and rooms are spacious, though as an Elite me... Read more

From the Manager to the hotel staff. this is a great place to stay both long and short term. Easy to get to the city. Great staff and management team. Saturday night Dave from the front desk came to get us at the Miniola train station ( 2 miles from the hotel). That is what I call going above and beyond. Thank you, see you soon

We stayed at this property numerous times while visiting our son who was interning with the New York Islanders. The staff was very gracious and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. The breakfast bar was well stocked and maintained, they also had a large selection of food available. We were even there over the Thanksgiving holiday, they were so helpful in finding us a place to eat and things to do and see.

I recently stayed here for one night during a quick weekend vacation book-ended by red-eye flights between San Francisco and Newark. I booked this hotel blind on Hotwire because it had free parking. I knew that for my fourth trip ever to the New York metro area, I wanted to see Brooklyn and Queens, and since I would need a rental car to explore those boroughs efficiently, I decided to stay out in the eastern suburbs where I could find a place with free parking. Overall, the hotel is in excel... Read more

Our first visit was fantastic. This visit, we got a room that smelled of smoke and some other funky smell. We did not get offered another room, but a discount - so we had to stay in that room again another night.

I have stayed here many times in the past over the years for business. I have returned to this hotel because of location of the local through way and highways. There is mall nearby along with plenty of restaurants. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is bright. I have stayed at better and worse. but depending on what LaQuinta is charging at the time, its not a bad hotel. I will stay there again one day in the future, I am sure.

Heater was broken during my duration of stay. Front desk was nice enough to change my room once I told them about this complaint. Problem was likely due to the bad weather outside but was still happy for the accomodations. Overall ok hotel to just stay a night in
