I have stayed here twice in the last three years. Comfortable, clean and good location as a base of operations. The staff is efficient and professional. They have provided all services and when a mistep occurs they resolve it immediately. I will be back when I am in Buffalo.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff here. Unbelievably kind. They will go out of their way to help you. The venue was a little tired and the rooms could use a facelift as they are showing some wear and tear. But everything was clean and comfortable.

Every time my family and I come to beautiful we always stay at the DoubleTree downtown. It is always clean, has comfortable beds, a delicious breakfast, free DoubleTree cookie and most importantly the front desk staff is always so wonderful to work with. They will do anything to make sure that your needs are met.

Staff in this place was very polite and considerate. I unfortunately booked a room too small for the family, and they upgraded us without additional charges. The building is not new, although the facade and the lobby are a bit contemporary. Room size was as expected, certainly not too tight, but not generous with space as well. There is a reading room (maybe library). It's right next to a hospital. It's very near to the major roads in downtown. The cafe downstairs is a bit pricey for what... Read more

Stayed at this hotel after seeing Niagara Falls. Great service from the Front desk Manager who assisted with information on town services and remembered I had phoned and asked if I had found what I was looking for. Very efficient check in and out, no waiting. Casey at the bar and restaurant was fantastic, made us feel very welcome and really good food. The ladies at breakfast who served us were the same, very friendly. Great place to stay.

Second time staying at the Doubletree based on its proximity to Roswell Hospital. The underground connecting corridor linking the buildings was the initial attraction, however, the quality and the facility and staff make it an easy recommendation.

This hotel and its staff is absolutely incredible!!! Words can't adequately express what a great job they did. I reserved a block of rooms there for my wedding. The sales/catering coordinator, Amanda Major, is fantastic to work with. She was so responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. The staff made sure all of our guests were taken care of. For example, my cousin was trying to get an Uber to head into the city for dinner. The hotel staff offered to... Read more

Professional staff, excellent service, extremely helpful, and accommodating describe this hotel well. The staff was kind, professional, and had a great sense of humor. They took care of everything from our endless questions about the area to shuttle service downtown. We chose this hotel because it's located about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls-an easy drive from the hotel. The hotel itself is adequate-has wifi and complimentary cookies, but breakfast is about $10 per person. It's clean enough, and the room we stayed in is pretty standard. I stayed at this hotel for business since it was within walking distance of my meetings. The room is reasonable with a full size fridge and microwave. Now the negatives. First, the complimentary WiFi was extremely slow, it was barely adequate for email and completely failed when it came to streaming netflix. Second, the restaurant service was extremely slow. Don't waste your time with the restaurant and just walk a few minutes to Allen St. or Main Street instead.

Try your luck - do not bank on good service. Hilton family of hotels apparently has no consistent quality control across geographies and will hire anyone. This hotel is off the beaten path in Buffalo. While part of the set of hotels that are in Downtown Buffalo, this hotel is most properly located squarely on the Buffalo Medical Campus. Which really means on the backdoor of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Given its obvious proximity to Roswell Park, I wasn't drawn to this location. The room and service were good. Wifi service was awful. The connection kept dropping and was very very slow. Lack of a free shuttle from the airport is unfortunate. I was told the shuttle would cost me $20/person. A taxi from the airport to the hotel cost me $30. So why would I ever use the shuttle for 2 people? It would cost me more. $140/night (we had a wedding block price) is way too expensive for a place that does not have good free wifi, a pool, and a continental breakfast.

This was our second stay at this hotel, which we selected because it is walking distance from Anchor Bar and because the service is predictably professional. Needless to say, we tried it and liked it so much we are stopping there on the way home now. Randy at the front desk was super friendly and helpful and answered my questions about parking and nearby restaurants. The valet parking was a reasonable $14. All of the staff was great and friendly. There is an onsite restaurant which we did... Read more

I come here regularly for work . The staff is always welcoming and accommodating . It's like a home away from home . Highly recommended. Stop into the restaurant for a drink and some new friends or take the shuttle and explore

I stayed at Doubletree Downtown Buffalo for the safety and convenience and the fact that it is adjoined to Roswell Park Cancer Institute and gave an American Cancer Society Discount to family members/friends of Roswell patients. The hotel employees were helpful and courteous. The dining room meals were very good. Staying at this location minimized the stress I was under as a caregiver to my loved one. My only complaint was the additional $14 a day for parking which I think was outrageous for gu... Read more

Nice big bathroom, loved that it had a refrigerator in the room with a microwave. It has very comfortable beds. Great place to stay since you can walk to the hospital, wish it had reduced parking rates.

The location is not good. The service was poor. When we arrived, we had to find teh valet attendant. Even when we found him, he was not courteous. We had to get a cart and bring up our own bags. The roll out bed was dusty and not well preserve. This is just not up to the Hilton standard.

This was my first time at a DoubleTree Club Hilton hotel. I was very pleased with my stay. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Randy at the front desk was professional and a great "face" of the hotel upon arrival. It was nice to have a restaurant available for a meal or a drink. There is valet parking only, but at $14 it's reasonable and the staff had my car ready when ever I asked. The rooms are big, clean and the beds are comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel if you... Read more

This is an ok hotel that has seen better days. I had an HHonors floor room and it was comfortable enough and clean, but the folding/sliding door to the closet was broken and I had to drag it open and closed. The hotel has a fitness room but the elliptical trainer I used had a piece of plastic that was hanging off the handle where you hold it. It didn't prevent me from doing my workout but it was not impressive.

I have stayed here before but the hotel has been updated and the service was great. The warm cookie at arrival really makes your day after a long flight. Anchor bar is at walking distance. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

The whole hotel is nice and on the ECMC campus. Walking distance to Anchor Bar. Only issue is the restaurant/bar area. It looks like it was thrown in and is part food court a 4 seat bar and a restaurant? It is wierd and needs review. As a HH Dia I expect more in a DT

This review is based on 2-nite stay in October. Hotel is a practical alternative to being downtown--just few mins away via Metro Train (1-5 stops). Conference Center is just one stop away on Metro. All staff were friendly Pluses: * I was allowed early check-in with first-available room. Much appreciated. But that meant no room upgrade or access to HHonors floors * Convenient location--close to downtown, and adjacent to Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (Buffalo General Hospital and Roswell Park C... Stayed at this hotel for it's close proximity to the Roswell Cancer Center. The staff were great and went out of their way to help me in small ways. Hotel was spacious, well lit, clean. Restaurant was great and even went the extra mile to provide non menu items.

I came to Buffalo on business and stayed here for its convenience to Roswell Park Cancer Institute (there's a connecting corridor). Service was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and I liked the food at their restaurant, where I ate 3 times. I was able to take their free shuttle to the train station when I left, which was very nice. For travelers who use wheelchairs/have a mobility impairment, I'd advise that the toilet in the accessible room did not have any grab bars around it, so is diffic... Read more

I stayed 5 days visiting the university. This hotel is centrally located (if you can say this for Buffalo). The room was sufficiently big, clean and well maintained. The staff was very courteous and helpful. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Restaurant was nice, strangely enough while ordering the same things every day they served them in a different way. Overall, a very good place to stay. This was our first visit to Buffalo and I am extremely pleased with this property. The clerk at the front desk was very friendly. The restaurant had a great bartender named Kasey (sp.?). The food was good. Our king size suite was clean, QUIET and comfy. We ate breakfast there, too, and were pleased. It is not complimentary. We paid to use the Valet parking service and it was worth it. It is a stone's throw from Roswell Park Cancer Ctr., too.
