"It's a new hotel on the edge of a gentrifying area - it might look like a scary neighborhood, but it really isn't. Access to Manhattan is actually pretty good via the Union St. R station one block away. It could be a good compromise. BUT - I wound up in a BASEMENT room (hotels have basement rooms?) with windows on noisy 3rd ave. Room was poorly cleaner and stank of cigarettes despite not theoretically being a smoking room. AC unit in the room (in a new hotel?) was noisy. Sleep was pretty much impossible without earplugs. But I guess that's what you get for $150/nt."
