Stayed here on business for 3 nights in April. The hotel is definitely not a four star, realistically, three star. No fridge in the room, which is no good if you want to stock up from the local convenience stores. Fortunately, you can open the window, and, as it was cold weather, piling my milk and sandwiches up by the open window kept them nice and chilled. The staff are excellent and very helpful, the bar has a good vibe but could do with a few craft ales for those of us who aren't keen on the... Read more

The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. We only stayed one night. You may want to check out their hot tub. Unfortunately we were so tired and beat we couldn't wake in time for breakfast. But all in all the hotel was nice. Close to all the downtown shopping and restaurants. Not a good location if you're driving because parking limited and can be costly in that area downtown Brooklyn.

Me my husband and 3 children stayed here during easter. It's located close to shops and restaurant's so that's a plus. The parking situation was not good hence the reason for the three stars! We used Valet parking which ran approximately 40$ there's a parking garage close by but your not able to come and go as you please, once you pay you can't leave again without having to pay again so we chose not to park there. Check in was fast and easy. Rooms are clean and comfy a bit small but that's normal... Read more

The staff was pleasant but the rooms are small, they don't have a full length mirror in the room (really??) the towels were scratchy at best, and the bed was very, very lumpy (when do they cycle out the mattress?). At least they had a coffee machine in the room. Nothing extra special to compel you to stay here.

PROs: fine attached restaurant (Italian), with the addition of a rooftop Japanese restaurant in the adjacent Aloft property. Short walking distance from the pier. Truly nice Club Lounge. CONs: small, unpleasant lobby -they should have never left the space to a Starbucks. Small room -and I was given an upgraded one. underground conference facilities queite basic. The area is not particularly nice -didn't look unsafe either. the one-way road in front of it gets easily congested -if you're in a hur... Read more

To Anyone Even Thinking About Staying Here - I tried staying at this dump last night and experienced the worst service and humanitarianism in the history of travel. I stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and had a pleasant experience. I was excited to stay again. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the customer service and lack of cleanliness. I hope that Starwood/Sheraton improves the quality at this hotel because it is located in a wonderfully central neighborhood in Brooklyn (DUMBO, Fort Greene, close to Manhattan Bridge - $6-8 cab ride from Manhattan). Stayed here multiple times while traveling to nyc for work. The hotel is perfect for those who want to be away for the noise of Manhattan yet only 3 subway stops from Financial District. This worked out perfect for me since that's where my office was. It's a lot better then staying in Manhattan so that you don't have to deal with a lot of crowd in subways. The hotel itself is clean and quite. Rooms are good size and prices are reasonable.

Havings stayed multiple types, the rooms are clean and the shower in the bathroom has been consistently great. Checkins can be slow and acknowledgement of status is not consistent, so a gentle prod on asking for benefits does not hurt if they have not acknowledged it. This is a New York hotel, so you have to consider that when evaluating it. Given this, it is very clean, the rooms are probably slightly larger than you would expect in Manhattan at this or an even slightly higher price point, and the service is good. The location is also excellent, very close to a variety of subways to get you almost anywhere in the entire city without too much trouble.

Good location right off the "Hoyt" street subway line for those coming into town. Great staff. Small but functional rooms. A lot of times the rooms in NYC can be small and they become dysfunctional when they stuff a in normal size room furnishings. The room was very comfortable. Great views of the water and city. Fast internet. Tons of food options in the neighborhood. Hotel food was good as well. Only problem was a bill issue that was quickly dealt with by the front desk. Would stay here again.

Stayed 4 nights in a 'club' king room. Room 2406 (as a warning to others). There was a constant grinding/squeaking noise from some sort of service shaft 24 hours, which was very loud once the TV was off and trying to sleep, basically you need earplugs to stay here - we didn't have any so ended up using earbuds from our music players to try and get some sleep. Terrible experience given that the primary purpose of a hotel is to allow you to get some sleep. The room, as well as being small and st... Read more

Location was great lots to see and do. Room was small but very clean. There is valet parking which was fast and courteous. There is a bar/restaurant which had quite a selection of food and drink. Breakfast was good and offers a buffet

I had a wonderful time celebrating my daughter's Sweet 16 at the Sheraton in Downtown Brooklyn. We had a great time and my daughter felt special on her birthday. I told the lady that checked us in (Earlene) that we were here celebrating and she made note of my daughter's name. Little did we know that she was setting up a celebratory spread to be sent up to our room. They sent up a platter of cheese and fruit along with chocolate covered strawberries and cheesecake. My daughter was so surprise... Read more

My wife and I stayed here after a night out in the Brooklyn area. We tried to check in at 2pm but was told the room wasn't ready so we had to come back a few hours later to check in. Usually if you are a SPG Gold member, you can check in early as it's one of the benefits, so it was a little disappointing they didn't let us check in. We reserved a regular room with a king size bed. The room was kinda small, but that is to be expected in NYC. The room door was damaged on the outside. It appears li... Read more

We recently booked two rooms at the Sheraton for a weekend event at the Barclay's Center. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice. We liked the Starbucks in the lobby. I was disappointed that although I had requested adjoining rooms or both rooms on the same floor, that they could not fulfill this request. But not a huge deal--there are no guarantees. The free wi-if more than made up for it! Staff was very nice and the valet parking was quick and reasonably priced for NYC. The are... Read more

This was my first time staying. Worked in the area for a business trip. Really liked the convenience of the location to my office building, places to eat and shop for last minute items. The staff was surprisingly friendly for a NY hotel and the room exceeded my expectations. Will definitely stay again.

The main reason we stayed at your property was because of your Club lounge and its amenities. Without the Club lounge your hotel is only ordinary. In the future we will be staying at another hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is a poor excuse for an Italian restaurant.

Stayed at the Sheraton Brooklyn for 3 nights. Hotel is adequate and what you expect from a Sheraton. Rooms were clean and had all of the expected amenities. Comfy bed, desk, plenty of outlets, in room coffee maker. The plus was the fluffy towels. Hotel has a Starbucks in the lobby. Had breakfast at the hotel resturant. Prices were NYC hotel expensive, however food quality was lesser than equated to the price. Restaurant staff were NYC friendly as were the staff at the desk. Location of hotel is... Read more

clean non- descript room in a average hotel close to BAM, where we attended the show. Pros: proximity the theater, good mattress, newer bathrooms. Cons: dirty loud lobby, hotel parking is $ 45 with just one in-and-out option in 24 hrs. Overpriced restaurant with paper plates for breakfast.

Walking distance to Subway stations, were here for a conference at Marriot which is just 5 mins walk. I am glad to stay here instead of at the Marriot as they had problem with water and internet during the conference. Staff are friendly, free internet only at the lobby otherwise need to pay if you want access in the room. Computers with internet and printers by the lobby, free to use which is helpful for me to print boarding pass and other documents needed. Few restaurants and bars nearby which ... Read more

I stayed here for work during October 2016. Overall, good scores on the main things: fine rooms, great bed, excellent gym, and even a pool (a 12 by 3 yards one, funnily enough watched by 2 guards all the time). The bar area is particularly nice - nicely decorated, perfect menu, and great place to do some few hours of evening work. Maybe slightly disappointing "lounge", which is just a corner of the restaurant. Supposedly great view on the next door Aloft rooftop bar, but I sadly didn't have time... Read more

The room we stayed in was fairly lush. And service was friendly. We only stayed 1 night for a staycation to dance the evening away in Williamsburg, not too far away with an Uber. Starbucks downstairs is of course welcomed. At the time, there was considerable construction outside, and parking is a disaster. But that is to be expected in NY. Would stay again if we got a good deal, but hotel needs some updating. Staying here is all about location , location, location. Having stayed at wonderful ho... Read more

From the moment that our car pulled up we were met with exceptional and warm service. The staff was so friendly and warm and made us feel very welcome. We receive a complementary upgrade, which was very appreciated. The rooms were clean and the beds to we ohhhhhh so comfy!! Brilliant . Pros: this hotel is 1 block from Fulton street shopping center and two blocks from the World Famous Juniors restaurant . The hotel is very clean and modern. Cons: the customer service is poor and they do not tell you the there is only Valet for$45.00 per night and you can only take the car out one per day for the overpriced $45.00. You do better taking a Uber to this hotel. But we still had a nice time. The hotel should let you know in advance the rate for the daily parking.

It is within good walking distance to major touristic destination in Brooklyn. I experienced mixed type of service (good and bad). The reception is located by the main entrance in a non practical manner. The rooms were clean and good enough for a comfortable night of sleep.
