Stayed here on business for 3 nights in April. The hotel is definitely not a four star, realistically, three star. No fridge in the room, which is no good if you want to stock up from the local convenience stores. Fortunately, you can open the window, and, as it was cold weather, piling my milk and sandwiches up by the open window kept them nice and chilled. The staff are excellent and very helpful, the bar has a good vibe but could do with a few craft ales for those of us who aren't keen on the... Read more

The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. We only stayed one night. You may want to check out their hot tub. Unfortunately we were so tired and beat we couldn't wake in time for breakfast. But all in all the hotel was nice. Close to all the downtown shopping and restaurants. Not a good location if you're driving because parking limited and can be costly in that area downtown Brooklyn.

Me my husband and 3 children stayed here during easter. It's located close to shops and restaurant's so that's a plus. The parking situation was not good hence the reason for the three stars! We used Valet parking which ran approximately 40$ there's a parking garage close by but your not able to come and go as you please, once you pay you can't leave again without having to pay again so we chose not to park there. Check in was fast and easy. Rooms are clean and comfy a bit small but that's normal... Read more

The staff was pleasant but the rooms are small, they don't have a full length mirror in the room (really??) the towels were scratchy at best, and the bed was very, very lumpy (when do they cycle out the mattress?). At least they had a coffee machine in the room. Nothing extra special to compel you to stay here.

PROs: fine attached restaurant (Italian), with the addition of a rooftop Japanese restaurant in the adjacent Aloft property. Short walking distance from the pier. Truly nice Club Lounge. CONs: small, unpleasant lobby -they should have never left the space to a Starbucks. Small room -and I was given an upgraded one. underground conference facilities queite basic. The area is not particularly nice -didn't look unsafe either. the one-way road in front of it gets easily congested -if you're in a hur... Read more

To Anyone Even Thinking About Staying Here - I tried staying at this dump last night and experienced the worst service and humanitarianism in the history of travel. I went to check-in at 11:30PM on a Sunday after staying at a local hospital for a family emergency. I prepaid on Expedia at 7PM. The woman at the counter was undoubtedly the poorest trained human being in Hospitality (no other way to describe her except clueless and overweight...bc I didn't catch her name - no name tags - no intr... The staff made the stay very nice. They did everything in their powers when ever you asked about or for something. Rooms were decent but the television service did not have enough choices. Didn't stay in the room too long for that to bother us. No refrigerator in room, but there is a safe. Coffee and bottled water provided, along with shampoo and stuff for the shower. The windows actually open a crack for fresh air!!! NO rewards points given since I booked with a "third party" . Wait a minute! I... Read more

I stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and had a pleasant experience. I was excited to stay again. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the customer service and lack of cleanliness. I hope that Starwood/Sheraton improves the quality at this hotel because it is located in a wonderfully central neighborhood in Brooklyn (DUMBO, Fort Greene, close to Manhattan Bridge - $6-8 cab ride from Manhattan). Room: We were given an "upgraded" room with a balcony as a result of a mistake with our reservation (s... Read more

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a vacation to Brooklyn. It was in an excellent location - right off of Fulton Mall and close walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge, Montague St., and the Promenade. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel features an Italian restaurant, next door at Aloft there is a rooftop bar, and across the street is Brooklyn Brewhouse which was a really fun restaurant/bar. Overall, we had a great experience with this hotel and it ... Read more

Hotel was nice enough. There was a little bit of a funky smell in the hall and room. (Possibly febreeze). Other than that, things were nice. The room was clean and quiet despite being in the middle of a lot of traffic and construction. The WiFi was great and free because we were Starwood members. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I was organizing a room block for my team during a last-minute competition during Memorial Day Weekend. We had a rough start since I had never organized something like this before, and since I had teammates coming from all over the world, it was difficult to get the accuracy needed. However, Ronnie Waters and the Sales Team were kind enough to work with me and even provided space for us to register our teammates and distribute swag. Due to the complicated nature of our room block, Nora Olivier f... Read more

We booked this hotel with SPG points for an overnight stay in Brooklyn during the Memorial Day weekend. We reached the hotel at around 9:30pm and had to wait nearly an hour to get access to our room. We found that we were downgraded from a suite to a standard room. The guest relations manager refunded the upgrade points but did not offer anything beyond that. The room was reasonable - however, there was a strong smell of a pet mingled with some type of deodorant. Breakfast next day at the SPG... Read more

We only stayed one night, but we were very impressed with this hotel. NYC sort of scares us, but we were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. Customer service was great, quick and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great 'home base' if you would like to walk and explore Brooklyn. We would definitely go back.

The team at the Brooklyn Sheraton was fantastic. This was my first experience in NYC for their Pride festivities and the staff really made it a point to ensure that we had a memorable experience. Special kudos to Justin at the front desk for giving my friend and I tips on how to navigate the city's Pride festivities and the restaurant staff/club level staff that made our fun-filled 24 hours from great to amazing. They went above and beyond to make the experience something that I won't forget any... Read more

This stay was honestly beyond horrible. We stayed in room 2502, which was nice but the road was a rough one. After booking my reservation, I called to confirm that everything was set and that I was staying in a, non smoking room. When the front desk associate Justin answered the phone, he was extremely rude and hostile. He clearly seemed to be having a bad day, but none the less, as a customer, I shouldn't have been able to tell. I then proceed to ask if we were in a non smoking room and he plac... Read more

Stayed here multiple times while traveling to nyc for work. The hotel is perfect for those who want to be away for the noise of Manhattan yet only 3 subway stops from Financial District. This worked out perfect for me since that's where my office was. It's a lot better then staying in Manhattan so that you don't have to deal with a lot of crowd in subways. The hotel itself is clean and quite. Rooms are good size and prices are reasonable.

We arrived early but the check-in friendly staff was able to get us to our room a couple hours before the official check-in time; that was nice since we had flown a red-eye to get to the Big Apple. We were put on the 19th floor and the room was surprising bigger than a nearby hotel we had stayed at previously. We stayed three nights, bed was great, pillows good too, and the shower (bathroom) had everything we wanted. What really stood out for us was the welcoming front desk, door man, and... Read more

The check in was a little slow but i was very satisfied with my room and location, 10 minutes to NYC and close to downtown Brooklyn Shopping. The room smaller than other Sheraton's but that's to be expected in New York. Parking was available for a small fortune but I was able to find parking around the corner on the street for free since it was the weekend. Overall i would stay here again.

Havings stayed multiple types, the rooms are clean and the shower in the bathroom has been consistently great. Checkins can be slow and acknowledgement of status is not consistent, so a gentle prod on asking for benefits does not hurt if they have not acknowledged it. Especially, when checking in late and the only room available at first blush is one laid out for accessibility. There are some rough edges though - the layout of the elevators can be a bit confusing and the corridors are not air... Read more

After staying in Manhattan we decided to stay in Brooklyn. The location is pretty good, just beside a shopping street, close to several metro stations, in an area which seemed safe. There is a lot of building happening in Brooklyn. Despite a large building site right opposite the hotel we didn't hear any noise. The hotel is ok. I guess we are spoiled by Australian and Asian five star hotels and that quality doesn't translate over to the US. Service was good and staff was very friendly and helpf... Read more

I went to this hotel with my parents and sister for 3 nights. It is a very pretty hotel, from the decor to the cleanness and to the rooms. We stayed in the 13th floor and it had a nice view, though it gets better the higher you get. Our room had two beds and the bathroom was very nice and clean. Our twin room was really good, clean and well kept during our stay. What let the hotel down was customer service and value for money, something that surprised me given the reputation of the Sheraton chain. Specific issues include: 1. $249 per night plus taxes but WiFi is an extra cost. 2. We stayed three nights but had breakfast only once - the restaurant area was very untidy (I think we followed on from a group of unruly kids judging by the cereal all over the place) and the breakfast food its... It was a very good decision to take the Sheraton Brooklyn NY hotel. The hotel is just right located, on the very entrance to Manhattan offers different options of stay. It was an easy start both for Manhattan trip as well as sightseeing Brooklyn. That was the first time being in US together with our son, so it was important to have a place ensuring my husband and me a bit of privacy but also having a room with a proper size.
