After going to NYC for the last 5 years we deceided to do Brooklyn NY. A lot of great places to eat and to have fun. What i liked was that i could drive my car around and if i didn't we used Uber it was fast and easy, save us a lot of time.

We stayed at The Condor Hotel this weekend. The rooms are very clean and the free breakfast was very nice also. We were visiting friends in Brooklyn and his hotel was only one mile from their house. The L Line train runs from Lorimer stop to 8th street in about 10 minutes so we walked the Highline trail. It was beautiful.

The hotel met our expectations and more this past week. It is at a good location with regards to everywhere we needed to visit in New York. The hotel is very clean and service was excellent. Tevon and Katy were especially very helpful at the front desk, and Jamie, the manager, was fantastic. We needed chairs in our son's apartment for the graduation party we were planning. All of the chair rental companies we contacted were booked solid. My husband asked Jamie if they could lend us their c... Read more

Had to travel to NYC on an urgent basis and picked this hotel during the train ride from my home town. Didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised by the superior front desk service, the cleanliness and the quite complete set of amenities, proper of a larger/pricier hotel. The most outstanding trait was the professionalism of the staff: articulate, resourceful, helpful and informative during both my interactions. Breakfast buffet is adequate-to-good, the rooms are clean and comfy, and th... Read more

Nice, easy to walk or Lyft throughout Brooklyn and Lyft to lower Manhattan. Only problem was that bed not made up one afternoon until almost 6 PM. Would definitely stay there again. My Brooklyn son stayed with me and two twin beds worked perfectly. No close or convenient eats especially on Jewish sabbath or holiday in this hotel in ultra-orthodox Williamsburg but Uber and Lyft quick and reasonable, plus cabs to hail. Snack machine has chips, nuts, candy, soda but no diet except water. NYC tap ... Read more

The Condor hotel is located in a nice area in Williamsburg. The staff were very friendly when we arrived and always willing to help book cabs, make phone calls etc, but the rooms, while large for New York, are just rather old and outdated; the décor of the whole place is just a bit sad, especially the basement breakfast room. My room had a shower over a bath (though the bath was too small really) but the worst thing was no hot water! The shower went absolutely freezing after a few minutes and... Read more

My daughter and I were in New York looking for her future apartment. We chose the Condor Hotel based on the reviews posted on TA. It is located in a convenient neighborhood- we were able to get to the subway with a quick walk. The staff at the hotel is top notch and extremely helpful and courteous. We arrived early and appreciated being able to check in early. Our twin bed room was plenty roomy for the two of us- the kitchenette is not equipped with utensils but we did not need them. I really needed a place to stay for pride weekend with my friend and I picked this place. It completely exceeded my expectations. The staff was so accommodating and reasonable. The brought me scissors, and cork screws and fulfilled whole slew of other unreasonable requests. The building itself was super chill, definitely not like a rooftop party kind of place but still very fun to be in while your drunk because there are blue lights in the lobby. Some members of our family had stayed at this hotel before and had a good experience. So we tried it again but won't be returning. The major issue was the lack of hot water for showers. There were only two of us in the room but by the time the second person took a shower the first day, the hot water was gone, and nearly gone the second day. We also left the room at 11:30 in the morning, dutifully took off the "Do not disturb" sign and when we returned at 10:30 that night, had never gotten any ma... Read more

This is the third time I've stayed in this hotel in the past 1-2 years. I still love the design of the rooms and bathrooms (the showers are awesome), and the refrigerator/microwave is a necessity for me. The interior of the hotel itself is also aesthetically pleasing. Also, last time I was here there was a tiny TV on the desk with only basic channels. Now there's a wall-mounted large screen with DirectTV, which was a nice improvement. Now for the disappointments: The wifi had a few issues rando... Read more

The rooms were nice. We had a balcony and it was nice and clean when we checked in, however...there were three of us (which we let them know in advance) but there were only beds, towels, etc. for 2. When we approached them, they were very unhelpful in remedying the situation. Housekeeping was nonexistent or downright rude- throwing towels and toilet paper in the sink. Luxury hotel? Huh? I've stayed in New York City about two dozen times over the years and the Condor was one of the best - if not the best - hotels for all around value. The staff is great. Shakira couldn't have been nicer at check-in; she was quite patient with me (I was exhausted after a long drive) as I asked her three times where to park. Neat and contemporary hotel. Clean and modern rooms. Great beds! Quiet surroundings. The staff at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. There is only about a 20 minute taxi ride to Manhattan with subway stops that are about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. From the moment we walked in, Katy at the front desk was very helpful. The hotel did not live up to what I was expecting based on the high rating. The staff overall was nice, but there were some technical and amenity problems with this place. It was easy to find and park, but there was nothing in walking distance (e.g. food, bars, shopping). Our AC unit made loud noises and the staff moved us for the second night of our stay however, the AC unit in that room didn't work well either, I set it on 70 and it was warm in the room all night, reading 77 in the morning....
