We really enjoyed our stay at this place and even more so after such a horrific night at our pre opus accommodation. It was fresh, welcoming, modern and clean with nice decor, comfy beds and great flat screen TVs.The staff were welcoming, knowledgable and helpful and the place actually made you feel glad to be there.Really useful location for the cruise terminal and also accessible by B68 bus to and from downtown Brooklyn so easy to reach as well.Definitely would stay again and a great and safe place... The rooms are small and have no view. Its in an industrial area of town and there is not alot of food nearby. The new showers are great! It is the new rain shower head in the huge shower room that makes this entire room worth while. Lots of hot water.

The front desk personnel at the Motor Inn, were helpful and courteous. The 2 two rooms we reserved were moderate size rooms, but kept very clean. Neighborhood seems to be quiet and has free parking area.

I stayed at this motel over the Thanksgiving Holiday several years ago. I'm writing this review now because I receny recommended it to my niece. She's going to NYC for New Years Eve Celebration and needs a place to stay overnight. This is the kind of place that's great for that type of trip. in NYC you are out all day sight seeing or at events and you just want a place to shower and sleep. If you drive to The area this place has free parking. You will not find that in NYC . If you want to pay 3... Read more

So from reading older reviews, I am assuming this place has been renovated. I can't understand all the horrible reviews. To be honest, they made me really nervous about staying here and almost caused me to spend double on another hotel- which honestly probably would have ended up being worse than this place. First of all- the price is amazing. Half of what 90% of the other hotels were charging. Second, they offer parking- which 70% of the other hotels do not offer. It is located in red hook- th... We spent one night at this property as we were in town for an event at the Barclay Center. The biggest draw was the price and free parking. All of the basics were covered - king size bed, flat screen TV, bathroom and air conditioning. It was clean and the large shower had a rainfall shower head. That being said, the shower curtain was too short so the whole floor gets wet. The bedspread had a cigarette burn hole in it. The elevator was out of service.

We checked in last night, told elevator out of service. Ok I walked up and down 3 flights of stairs to bring up luggage, etc with husband. Luckily my health has been improving and I have built up strength thru daily walks. Tonight we come back, people who live here, etc, are using elevator along with new guests with luggage using elevator to go up. Why am I told I can't use elevator to get to my 3rd floor room. Without stairs when I am ADA CERTIFIED from my doctor?

We stayed here as it is one of the closest hotels to the Brooklyn cruise terminal and has free parking. There appears to be some renovation work going on as there was building stuff in the parking lot. The lobby was clean and modern. The first guy who started check in was really pleasant but he left and turned everything over to a guy who didn't speak much English. The elevator didn't work and didn't smell too good either. The corridors were a bit worn and not too clean. The room was small but ... Read more

So the hotel was nice and overall it was clean. The location was nice. I never felt unsafe walking back at 3 am. By car the trip to Manhattan is about 35-45 min by car. The hotel is about a 5 min walk from the bus stop to get to the subway which is much cheaper then any car service. We paid $130 a night for a 3 night stay. Paid $68 to book and was to pay $340 upon arrival. Not how it happened. Paid $455 when we arrived! Couldn't figure it out. Didnt add up. No explanation. Then we paid $60 for l... Read more

With how underrated this hotel was helpped us get a room after our amtrak came in late and all hotels were booked solid even the Days inn. It was a bit intimidating but it was already 2am and we needed a place despite not wanting to come down this far. The hotel is small but it is more than worth the cost. There is only one elevator in here but it is three floors. The elevator was working during our stay. all guests even the ones not paying for the room need their ids for their room but par... While reserving our roo, my partner was informed by the attendant that he needed both of our IDs. When I asked why, I was told it was a new policy. I then asked why the policy was created and was told it was for "security purposes". I've been to this location several times prior with my partner and never had to provide my identification, since he was the one reserving the room. The more I thought about it the more I disagreed with the policy for several reasons. Since the manager was there as we... Read more

While in Red Hook, Brooklyn we decided to check into a hotel, or Inn for the night. We called the Brooklyn Motor Inn for their rate. They gave us an hourly and daily rate which we thought was strange, but we went anyway. While going to the front desk I observed a couple arguing and some guys standing inside the lobby. At the front desk I was given a different rate than quoted on the phone 10 minutes earlier, and in addition the clerk asked for ID for each person staying in the room. Needless to ... Read more
